Mike's cool. Besides being a good player he'll keep you laughing at the sametime.
lol@ that guy is either don't know SSF4 or got paid to say it.
"Mike Ross is a great player, but Honda is consider a bad character?"
I am shocked that I heard Mike Ross drop an F-bomb.....
Anyone know if this will be shown on the G4 channel? If so this will get way more coverage than I Got Next or King of Chinatown the other documentaries about Evo.
was only gonna watch a few minutes but than I got sucked into watching the whole thing... Really good documentary!
just finished watching the whole thing and i love it.
I didn't think the documentary was all that, especially when you measure it up to something like King of Kong; it was too short to make it anywhere near as awesome. Having said that, this doc confirms everything most of us have known already, Mike IS the people's champ for a reason and a great overall personality. Really enjoyable stuff and even though a lot has changed over this last year, I actually now want Mike to take evo. I believe in Mike Ross!
It's amazing what some random yuotube comments inspire me to make.

Great documentary. I really wanted to watch this documentary since it was announced. What I want to watch next is Ian Cofino's "I Got Next".
@11
Mike Ross is not Bob Saget's character from Full House. He is human. He'll say stuff like that.
There are 4 documentaries covering last year's evo
Seriously though is Mike Ross banging Sherryjenix?
@ #10
Yeah, that section was kind of taken out of context when I was speaking on mostly the vanilla days. Honda is clearly not a bad character in Super. Anyway, I'm glad you guys are all enjoying the film! Steve worked really hard on it and I'm glad it's getting so much praise.
that was a good documentary. i learned a lot about mike and the scene.
Amazing documentary. There are so many great moments, like when Mike wanted to quit and got inspired again, and devastation portion, and of course plenty of the evo matches. I saw another comment on the G4 site saying that it makes sense Mike Ross doesn't want fans, because from the movie you can tell all the things he goes through and thinks about can be the same for all of us, whether you're a smalltime local player or a pro. If it's at all possible this made me more hype for Evo, now I want to keep a closer eye on Mike now that I know so much more about him.
Only criticism I can give this, is that it completely left out Gamerbee.
Gamerbee was a significant part of EVO last year. An almost unknown player destroying people with a character nobody else was using. Gamerbee eliminates Justin Wong and Mike eliminates Gamerbee. It seems like an important part of the story to me.
This was an amazing watch! Inspiring!
I almost teared at the part when hes explaining the story of when he wanted to quit and the cancer patient told mike his story and inspired mike....that was just so touching... I BELIEVE IN MIKE ROSS!!!
The only thing that can trump this is Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao 24/7 hahaha.
Damn this was great. And just in time for Evo. Believe!
I have so much respect for mike ross.
I'm gonna support him forever.
Easily one of the best documentary i have ever watched and i actually emailed it to my media teacher and he is gonna make the class analyse it :)
And like many other people have said this increased my respect for Mike x10 him and gootecks have allways been my idols and its nice to know a little more about mike :)
@59
I agree. Beating the guy who beat the guy who's been tormenting you in tournaments since '09 was a big deal. Huge moment for Mike Ross, and it definitely should've been explored by the film. Still a great watch regardless.
Mike Ross is just great, and what's more, he's great for the community. Check out all the comments where someone has said Mike Ross is the reason they started playing. It's a great thing for the scene.
I hope Mike does even better this year, and judging by his performances this year, it's entirely possible. Good luck, man.
@34
I know that,but you know as well as I do,when someone like Mike works as hard as he does,and builds that clean,fresh image for himself it has a lot of shock value when you hear it. Think back to the first TMNT movie: Rafael screams "DAAAAAAAMN!!!" and all the parents were shocked. (But the kids lol'd as hard as all get out. XD)
Loved this documentary and the highlight for me was Mike's supporting familly and friends in this doumentary. R.I.P to his mother but now she's his guardian angel watching over him and his bro and his pops, kudos to Ross because I'm not as strong as him and I would probably end up on a huge downslide in life if my mother were to pass away before her time.
a yo thats mikes girl..... that girl next to him most of the time ...... so when u marry her are ur fans invited lol .....hahahahaha joking man but she's kool to be by ur side every step of the way man that rear ..........
or will it come over cross counter wedding edition lol hahaha............ ok pple r going to hate me sorry man....
Finally got around to watching this, brilliant and moving documentary.
Ridiculously hype for EVO - would only be better if I could go in person.
Nice! finally got to see this one and it was well worth the wait. It's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen, not just about gaming but about any subject. Mad props to all the people involved and of course to Mike "People's Champ" Ross. I believe! :)
I always liked Mike Ross. Dude has a lot of charisma, and is super humble. Rare qualities these days. Rooting for him this years EVO. Going to be fun to watch.
Mint documentary. Love this guy, always so charismatic and humble. Rare qualities indeed. Will be rooting for him this years EVO.
I feel great after watching this, there's no doubt Mike is the true "People's champ". It's not a matter if he lose this weekend, hell be the champ forever because he never stops, keeps on fighting. Apart from that this recent year hes been doin a lot for the community.
I have nothing to do with the game anymore, I give all my time to my work, studies and travelling, so I never have the time to train, Im a casual SF player (a good one). But maaan, whatever it happens in the future, Im sure I want to be the "Mike Ross" of my community. Cant wait for this weekend, Ill follow this community till the end, and if someday Im lucky, I think I want to meet this people on EVO 2099 or something.

I <3 Mike. That part where the cancer survivor inspiring him to keep going was really touching. Great documentary, really put together well.
it would of been cool if they added when he beat daigo at seasons beating :)
Gee wiz, this is why I love the community! Mike Ross is such an inspirational man. He even put a friend of mine to tears! She was really emotionally heartfelt by it, but for good reason. Mike, you're the best in the world! I've believed in you since Gamestop nationals and I will continue believing throughout tomorrow >D. TOP 8 2 YEARS IN A ROW. LETS GO!
<3 Mike.
