Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has unlimited hyper meter mode as DLC

SiliconEra translated a piece by Famistu magazine which talks about some of the extras Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will offer people via DLC.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 won’t be out until November, but Capcom is already cracking on downloadable content plans. Players will be able to purchase arrange costumes and new modes from PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace.

According to Famitsu, one new mode players will be able to add is unlimited hyper combo mode. Pricing for this mode has not been announced.

This unlimited hyper gauge option sounds similar to the Event Modes that were unlocked in MvC3 every Tuesday that pitted you against various CPU opponents that had unique abilities.

Umm maybe people should RESERVE JUDGMENT before jumping to conclusions about what this is. Could be just another event mode, and still it's DLC, you don't have to buy it and it's something that would be just for fun anyways.

Well you see, the video compilation of UMvC3 will come out later on with leaked Marvel characters. I done the math. This character leak was a fake for some of the characters.

@26 Of course, if Mortal Kombat vs. Marvel Universe came out, then I would rip Hawkeye's head with Nightwolf, then I would be proud. As for Frank West, he would be leaked. As for Nemesis, he will be in the game because I saw 2 Resident Evil slots in the character select screen One for Jill and one for Nemesis. As for Vergil, he will also be in the game because I also seen one Devil May Cry slot for Vergil. So results are in!!! Nemesis and Vergil will be in the game. I've done the math. Numbers don't lie.

@30 I agree, it's not going to stop me from playing MvC3 because we've been demanding for 10 years. Now with Spectator Mode, I would be proud of Capcom. Now I have to keep doing the math on the character select screen. I already done the first math: Vergil and Nemesis will be in the game. But I done it on the Capcom side and I have to do the math on the Marvel side.

As for Mortal Kombat vs. Marvel Universe, Sindel vs. Screaming Mimi would be awesome!:D Here's how: Sindel and Mimi both scream, but Sindel's scream is better than Mimi's

Obviously this means we need 1v1 and 2v2 modes. Or a mode where you pick the same character 3 times. I'd pay for a DLC pack if it had a crapload of these modes in it, including the infinite hyper meter thing. Call the whole thing "Special Battle" and have it be a Versus Mode thing or something.

Modes I would pay for:

-Online training mode (With Spectator feature)
-1 on 1 and 2 on 2 battles (with reduced damage)
-Dramatic Battles (4 people on the screen at once)
-6 player mode (Each player controls a different character when on point)

Seth has said in one of those interviews over on SRK, that if plans for some reason change (which he doesnt think will happen) that THAT is the final character list for UMvC4. DLC is still a possibility, but only depending on sales for UMvC3.

capcom, are you seriously trying to charge us for game modes? i can stand buying characters, costumes and stages, but this is way beyond my tolerance to beind ripped off, i know im not forced to buy this (and i wont, if they planing on charging us) but i feel like they took this out of the game to trow it as dlc.

its an idiotic mode anyway, just spam proton canon to win by chiping your oponrn or making him trow the controller at the tv, anyway no one wins.

here im hoping for a 1vs1 with nerfed damage, less bars and no x factor

Shadow mode was successful because idiots kept buying them. So, they figured why not just leave out some options and modes and charge them for it. The same people that bought shadow mode will buy this. All I need is spectator mode and the mode people will play in tournaments with. The rest is for the birds.

This has been an option in fighting games for decades. I really don't see HOW it could even BE DLC. Something's wrong with the G-Diffuser.

There is absolutely zero reason to buy this. At least for the shadow battle you could argue that the AI behaves differently for each shadow, but this can be 100% recreated in training mode, rofl.
