I'm still laughing at how firebrand got in over megaman! lol
I just wanna say, megaman doesnt have any moves.... so....
@5 Really...So Exe and X don't have a major list of moves? LOL
Told you Striders Orbs did no chip...oddly enough they seem to do a tiny, tiny bit when Xfactored though....
doesnt matter how fast the orbs are, it is gonna be bad as long as it does no chip normal, it is a lvl 3, and you cant build meter while it is activated.....remove one of those to make it much better.
WTF Capcom? Orbs do NO CHIP and cost 3 meters? That's ASS.
@12 I ain't a fan boy, I just think it's hilarious how that garbage looking character "firebrand" got in over the most requested character capcom has ever made.
Oh and I hardly use megaman in MVC2, but would have if he got in MVC3.
So where's Hawkeye's trailer?
@16 Firebrand a garbage character? No don't be an @$$. Nemesis is the real garbage character. (We already have 3 RE characters, we don't need a 4th. Especially one that's only the villain for one game last I checked)
(So Firebrand's level 3 is smaller than him, interesting. I declare Firebrand's "swoop" attack to be his most annoying move!
Ghost Rider looking pretty pro - get too close get penance stare'd, get to far, get finger laser'ed/reeled back in!
Does Hawkeye not get a trailer, lol?
PS: Let's play the Megaman didn't get in but this guy did game! Aw, you started without me!)
@Everyone
How bout we just shut up until we see how everyone is before we start calling out characters. I for one want to see what Nemesis can do. I know people are aching on Megaman not being in and other characters making it in. Let's wait and see but until then be silent about "wasted slots" or "dumb additions".
@#19 And I suppose in the first one 7 X-Men were alright?
Firebrand>Megaman any day. He looks way more interesting than any mega man character i've seen in a vs. series. Cry more mega man lovers.
@23 No not really. We should've gotten Ms. Marvel instead of Jean Grey/Phoenix for starters. (Seriously, Jean Grey is one of the biggest Mary Sues in comics if you ask me)
i cant understand why there are so many people hating on the megaman fanboys. i'm not one of them, but even i'm a little puzzled as to why hes not in here yet and i think they have a right to complain (which is funny considering capcom euro said megaman was not in this game due to lack or fan support...lol)
I'm sure the ninja thing is people trolling, but...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja
Also did I miss Hawkeye's reveal trailer? Or is it just not out yet?
@29 I know some people who would want to buy this garbage game just to use Phoenix wright as a punching bag right now! XD
@AzureRedemption
http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go....
Lol, it says Red Aramer than says Firebrand.
Its awesome to see him here seriously!
Im not sure why Megaman was ignored but what I do know is that the other 2 who were high on fan wanting both got in here by the forms of Strider and Phoenix Wright, both sure to be awesome. Capcom has to have SOME reason to not include him, maybe because they want more attention to Zero and Tron.
NOBODY is garbage, its okay to whine but dont bash other characters their all great and creative.
(ignoring stupid arguments and megaman fans)
these reveals have a crap load of information if you look close enough. Ghost riders has a crap load of info to go over im pretty sure with some fine tuning or an x factor you cloud get a combo after his level three. ...... (GOTTA PLAY AS HIM)
@35 with what moves puny lawyer? A whip? A gun? what can you do besides object to S***? I want to see your gameplay video BADLY.
@37 Fire brand IS garbage, deeeeeaaaaal with it.
@41 LOL if you think thats the reason he didn't get put in, then I weep for your intelligence.
When his creator left capcom, he also left a bad taste in their mouth, so they are ditching the megaman brand. They cancelled MML3 and another Mega man game (cannot remember the title for the life of me) BOTH of which he was working on before he left.
Coincedence?
hey number 42... http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go....
Here you go #43 http://i46.tinypic.com/keddus.gif
Enjoy.
I want too see Vergils reveal simply because he is my fave DMC character and his moves fit in so well and I wanna see his Hyper Combos, I already have an idea what they would look like
Devil Trigger- self explanatory
Summon Swords rape- Either hold the button for a orbit of the swords or tap for a stream of them
Counter Attack- Like his counter attack in his boss form from DMC3
Level 3 Hyper weapon switch rape pwn- performs a huge combo utilizing the Yamato for quick slashes, Beowolf for close range attacks and then top it off with the force edge
@#19
Count again dude he was in 4 games & there is more than one Nemesis just like how there is more than one Mr. X

@44 Megaman is gayer than Phoenix Wright if Capcom felt the need to replace him. Enough with the conspiracy theories, he just isn't a good enough character. When this comes out I hope to see you online so I can object you with Mr. Wright, and blow your a$$ up with Nemesis.
@50Cent
Yes, we have two Megaman characters, but they're not the main character in Capcom's (arguably) most iconic games.
This is like putting in Luigi instead of Mario. Or Knuckles instead of Sonic. Or Nero instead of Dante. Or Ken instead of Ryu. You get the idea.
@49 One: They don't like his creator, this has nothing to do with the character.
Two: I'm not buying the same game twice. This game would have to be 15$ for me to buy it cause I'm never buying another capcom game at full price.
@50Sent
Yeah, ninjas as we see them represented today, and the folkloric/fantastic elements about them never existed. But if YOU had actually read that article, you'd see that they did exist, just not in the popular culture form we see mostly.
@42
You realize Inafune made Zero and Tron too, right? Are you really that stupid?
@50
Do some research. There is no evidence that Ninjas ever existed before the 70s.
@Gerry
And yet you still have two characters, two characters that would obviously be more interesting in a fighting game, especially considering that Zero is X with a sword. Meanwhile, fans of games like Breath of Fire and God Hand see no representation at all (and I don't even want characters from those games in). All of you Mega Man fans are just plain selfish really.
@55
Zero doesn't even inherit any new weapons or upgrade his armor like X... Zero focuses more on getting up close and personal with his sword whereas Megaman is about shooting from long range.
Tron Bonne more interesting than Classic Megaman or even X? Really??? Stop, just stop. That statement alone shows that you've never touched a Megaman game in your life.
Gene or Ryu from Breath of Fire are not nearly as iconic as Megaman is. Replace Tron Bonne with Megaman and everyone wouldn't make a big deal about this. Heck, don't even include Tron Bonne and no one would care. If you don't get it, let's have Nintendo put in Luigi in the next Smash Bros. and not even include Mario and we'll see uproar this would cause. $1,000 says the Smash Bros. community would riot. This is just like that.
So Oros are lvl 3, do no chip AND can be push blocked. Strider confirmed for low tier.
@57
Yeah, I think Tron Bonne has more interesting moveset opportunities than Classic or X. A mobile heavy grappling female with Servbots is IMO more interesting than pew pew pew, especially when we already have pew pew pew slashy slashy. The character choices are made out of gameplay possibilities, not just how iconic they are.
Gameplay possibilities, huh? Then explain Phoenix Wright, who doesn't even fight. Heck, Tron Bonne doesn't really fight. She just does construction. Zero doesn't even go pew pew pew in MvC3 or TvC. All he really does is slashy, slashy, slashy in both games. Good job denying that you never played a Megaman game in your life.
@61
I assure you I've played Mega Man games, not that it matters because this is MvC3. Tron has a giant robot and Servbots. That's more than Mega Man has right there. Zero has everything Mega Man has but with a sword, which is better for a fighting game. I have no idea how Phoenix will fight, but I guarantee you that it'll be like nothing else on the roster, unlike a Mega Man would be. And it looks like Capcom agrees, because Mega Man isn't in. I COULD see Mega Man StarForce getting in though, but not for a long time.
@19
Come on...don't say that :( Guy's not garbage. For me he's the most memorable RE villains ( for me...for others it might be a tyrant or Wesker etc ) I hated it soo much when he jumped out of nowhere or did his crap. So freaking much that I was actually afraid the whole time I played that damn game >< and That's why I love him!
None of the new characters is a wasted slot :)
If you've played Megaman, then you would know everything I've already said. Again, Tron just does construction. The point of her robots and Servbots is to build and fix things, not fight.
Also, I repeat, Zero doesn't inherit any weapons or upgrade his armor. He just stays the same the entire time. X even becomes more powerful than Zero in Megaman X after getting his full armor and weapons upgrade. Zero said this himself after being defeated by Vile.
@64
And yet, she can still use them to fight, as evidenced in MvC2 and 3. There are slight differences between X and Mega Man, but in terms of being in MvC3, X would probably be pretty boring, especially when Zero is essentially the same but with a sword. He can go pew pew pew, but you never see people doing it because the sword is much better in a game like MvC3. And if you really want to, you can pick the blue alt and pretend its X. And even if X would be different, it's kind of pointless when you could be putting in characters like Strider or Phoenix Wright instead. I'm sure if Capcom could put in an infinite amount of characters they would, but thy can't.
And I can't believe you're arguing canon power levels in a game where Haggar fights against Shuma Gorath.
At least Megaman or X is actually meant to fight compared to a robot who's main purpose is for construction.
"There are slight differences between X and Mega Man, but in terms of being in MvC3, X would probably be pretty boring, especially when Zero is essentially the same but with a sword."
You are ignoring the fact that I said, twice, that Zero doesn't upgrade his weapons and armor, which itself is a pretty big difference.
If people don't go pew pew pew, then he might as well not even have the ability to. You then said all X does is pew pew pew. That itself makes him entirely different than X because that is what he's meant to do. You just contradicted yourself right there. Good job.
I said X is more powerful than Zero because you said Zero is better than X when in reality, it's the other way around.
Again, if you don't get it, think of Nintendo putting in Smash Bros. without Mario.
@66
Oh? Zero not upgrading his weapons and armor is a pretty big difference? Would X be upgrading his weapons and armor in MvC3? Because if not, it makes no difference at all. I'm saying that a character that only went pew pew pew would be a terrible character to have in a fighting game, especially one like Marvel. And I never said Zero is more powerful than X, just that in a game like Marvel he has more possibilities for attacking than X does. And it doesn't matter if Tron actually fights (which she does anyway), look at Phoenix Wright. She gets unique opportunities with her equipment that no other character has.
And no, it's nothing like the Smash Bros example.
Just the fact that Zero slashes and X shoots is a pretty big difference on their own. And yes, I'm pretty sure that if they were to put Megaman in the game, they would have him upgrade his armor or weapons because most of Megaman's moves in MvC1 and 2 were getting a crapload of weapons and one of Megaman's supers is him transforming into Hyper Megaman.
If you've played MvC1 or 2, and if you think about it, Megaman would have MUCH more possibilities than Zero, because Megaman's main focus in MvC1 and 2 are not only to shoot, but to call for weapons upgrades and decide the proper upgrade to call for to attack your opponent. Not all of his upgrades are shooting, either. One of them is actually a shield. That's a much more intricate strategy than Zero where all he does is slash, slash, and slash. So in the end, no, Megaman's strategy is not just pew, pew, pew, but deciding on a proper weapons upgrade to fight with and has much more possibilities than Zero.
Trone Bonne throws rocks, drills you, and sticks the Servbots on you. Megaman, read above. His upgrades have a MUCH more vast possibility than Tron Bonne. Heck, he's got 19 games worth of them. How much does Tron Bonne have?
Nothing like the Smash Bros. example? Smash Bros... Having a montage of Nintendo's best and iconic characters duke it out... Yup, sounds like MvC to me, just with the inclusion of the Marvel characters.
@22
Um, if by the 70s you mean the 14th-15th century, then yeah... sounds about right...
@70
No, I don't mean the 14th-15th century, because there is no evidence that any such thing as ninjitsu existed before the 70s. Unless killing someone at night makes a person a ninja? For example, I could write a book saying that Leprechauns were real life magical creatures in Ireland, cite it on Wikipedia, and call everyone an idiot for not thinking Leprechauns are real. That's what these people did with Ninjas.
Lol more whining over the blue boy...
Pointing out the fact that Tronne can't fight outside her mech apparently doesn't mean too much because she's been in back to back games.
Ninjas are glorified greatly from what they actually were. Thieves and honor-less vagabonds. They were nothing like the heroes depicted in video games...
@55 lol they were made by him, but they aren't what got him famous. They are killing him off slowly and wisely by killing the most iconic character he has ever created.
Newcomers won't know where tron and zero come from and with megaman not being in the game (the main character of their series) they'll think he wasn't popular enough, THUS killing any chance at megaman gaining new fans.
I wanna get in on this argument,lol,in my opinion,i feel megaman would be a great addition to the game,depending on which megaman is placed in the game.X would fit due to the WIDE variety of moves he learns and the armor upgrades he received over the years we played x games,classic would also fit but i feel he would need a updated move set.batlle network,ehh,didnt like how he relied on lan to gain his weapons so idk how that would fit in,and f**k starforce megaman,lol
You guys are funny lol... Anyway I'm not too impressed with Firebrand or Strider... The ones people are so quick to call the new wolverine and best character in the game already smh its stupid... Ghost Rider and Hawkeye seem cooler to me.
I just cant wait to see Nova, Raccoon and Strange in action.... and Wright because I have never played any of the games before so I think he'll probably be the most interesting. So pretty much everyone that nobody expected to be in the game lol. It would have been cool to see Megaman in the game in some form... but in the 3rd game in the series im happier seeing New/Not well known characters rather then 15 xmen characters lol

@3
Ninja's aren't real things, so it's kind of hard to be a parody of them."""
I couldn't tell if you were just trolling with that statement, along with the misused apostraphe there, but here's a counter-trolling anyway: I used to practice and teach a wide variety of martial arts from China/Hong Kong and Japan, and dabbled a little in Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Kook Sool Won, along with fighting techniques used by USASFC personnel. I wouldn't say that a ninja isn't a real thing, because it's not only untrue, it's also relative to how you define a ninja. I teach ninjutsu techniques and actually practiced bushinryu jutsu. When I found out that a certain Street Fighter/Final Fight character was a bushin practitioner, I was excited to try him out, once my copy of SFZ showed up at Microplay. I even traded a whole bunch of stuff in for store credit to get the PS1 to play it. lol
Being a ninjutsu practitioner, I could be viewed as a "ninja", but I am no assassin, nor thief, which in reality, was how they were defined from the start of their existence in ancient Japan, amongst the Ainu. I also teach and practice kendo and bushido - from that premise, I could be called a "samurai", but I am no servant of any Japanese emperor, nor some warlord of any sort. I could even be called a "sumo wrestler" because I actually learned sumo techniques, just because it was something available for me to expand my knowledge on. I'm not, however, of any standard sumo wrestling weight class, nor do I dress up like one, nor take part in kabuki theater. I practiced and taught many different styles of chinese kung fu, and even taught/conducted hong kong police courses and drills. I don't dance with furniture like Jackie Chan, though. lol
He's a childhood hero of mine, by the way, ever since I saw his earliest works from the 70s and 80s. Ryu Just happens to be another hero of mine from my high school and college days. I want to live for the fight, as he does, but I have bills to pay and a family to look out for. Anyway, a ninja, a samurai, and a sumo wrestler may not be things you'd normally see on a day to day basis, but it doesn't mean we don't exist, in some way or another, and especially in the traditionally accepted/understood sense.
imo megaman or x or whatever u want to call him was in 3 vs games....no one used him lol and his moveset in all 3 games were horrible maybe for the exception of tvc. wanna be salty at someone be salty at yourself's for not using him in the past. R.I.P. megaman lol u had your days and they were in the 90's
lets just aggree that both megaman and pheonix SUCKS!!!
@#48
1st though, to CaptainImpact, he IS a Tyrant. I agree with him also being my most memorable RE villain. But yeah, to #48, that is the same damn Nemesis every time. In Umbrella Chronicles, you are playing the RE3 chapter of the campaign. You showed RE3 Nemesis, Under the Skin is kiddie RE3 apparently, and Gun Survivor 2 is the same damn Nemesis from RE3. The span of RE3 is 24 hrs before RE2 to 24 hrs after RE2. The Code: Veronica arc also happens in that span, since it pretty much picks up where Claire left Leon to look for Chris.
Firebrand is my favorite one of Mephisto's offspring. I can't wait to use him!
