Alex_MMorales, who's been pointing out a lot of good news items as of late, spotted yet another one on NeoEmpire.com. Kaworu has compiled a list of changes for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. If you've been keeping up with the news, you've seen some of these before, but it looks like there's a few new items mixed in as well.• Arthur's health has been buffed (TBC)
• Arthur’s air S makes him dive to the ground very quickly now, allowing him to combo easily.
• Haggar's f+H now causes bounce rather than huge hitstun (TBC).
• Ryu's Hyper Fireball now bounces off of walls.
• Spencer has a new move, an air dive that OTGs.
• Ghost Rider has at least 2 special moves that OTG, and his two level one supers appear to OTG. His level 3 super is a grab where he uses the Penance stare on you.
• Strider is the first character to have two level 3 supers, (Ragnarok, and the Ouroboros.) Most of his moveset from Marvel 2 was shown. His robot animal super OTGs.
• Firebrand's level 3 appears to summon a computer controlled doppleganger firebrand to assist.
Pretty good foot notes overall and I'm sure there's much more to be discovered. But I won't lie, twas a little sad the first and only Hsien-Ko change I see (atm) is "faster" xD That's not bad AT ALL, it's just lackluster for now. Not whining, just want her to do well =P
Props to the guys being diligent and documenting these changes. Not sure how the situation is, but I imagine they aren't getting "lab time" with this game, so thumbs up =)
That Zero nerf was unnecessary, you have to play the f*** out of him for him to be good. I have him on my team but if they're gonna slam the nerf hammer on him for no reason I might have to reevaluate... :|
No more hard knockdown from Haggar Assist? NOOOOOOOOOO it worked so well for Skrull's slow stone smite otg, or Doom's S. H.

Yeah they did take away the hard knockdown but it doesn't mess up his combos since it still does a soft knockdown
what more could they do, GeeK? Let's be honest, he's at the level where he doesn't need a touch yay or nay. If anything, maybe make his fully-charged Mighty Smash not instantly cause the opponent to go 'f this' and recover.
I'd disagree with giving Thor a comboable Mighty Hurricane though, that's where I stop. Why not let him toss his hammer? It'd be a Level 1 Hyper that'd work on the properties of Trish's Round Trip (not Harvest!) that'd let Thor take advantage of block stun and Mighty Hurricane the opponent?

So you're taking lag into perspective for nerfing a character? Maybe we should buff Magneto's ROM combo since its harder to do in lag.
Wesker had his health slightl nerfed... fine (even though he can heal himself so it should still be higher than Chris)
Air grab i have to admit needed to be nerfed but why his teleports? depending on how much they nerfed the teleports he may be useless now...
some of the other nerfs are unneeded (zero mainly) but Ryu had too many buff's
Sentinel no longer has otg rocket punch > HSF after his bnb air combo, they now flip out before the drones hit (TBC)
Really? i understand nerfing him but done nerf him so much he cant do one of his main combos so that hes barely playable now!

Lol nerfing his teleport wouldnt determine his usefulness, he still have a bunch of tools which havent been touched from what we know. Still does great damage, still have the nice command grab, still have easy otg, and from the vids of that comic con tournament his teleport seems a bit slower and doesnt travel as far(air version) but people was still doing their combos as if nothing happened and maintained that damned air shoot down teleport keep away which was still effective.
And Ryu, doesnt seem like he had too many useful buffs as of yet seeing how stationary charging moves arent really good. He bolts himself on the ground charging that fireball... that = free beam super, get teleported on, and people like to stay in the air way too often anyways. Powered up beam super only seems to bounce off the wall once, so you can angle it in a way to take up the whole screen. Also doesnt look like he can cancel any of his charging moves normally and requires it to be charge for about 2-3 second for full effect.

LOL at barely playable now, it said only after his air combos so far so him doing it after a throw should be fine. And all it would mean is instead of otg rocket punch>hsf you would just simply air rocket punch otg into hardrive>C. mid rocket punch plasma storm OH WOW he can still chain supers up just not brain dead easy now just normally easy! And if doing all that is too difficult otg rocket punch>plasma storm still good damage. I hope you was trolling....
I hope that Arthur health buff turns out to be true. I work and work to get about half damage on someone then all of a sudden, random beam hyper -> DHC/XFC repeat and I'm dead...
Also, the air S buff is good: that little thing should help him out quite a lot as it will lead to some potentially easy assist combos and/or resets. I wonder though does it mean that you can land an air S and combo off of that or just to end a combo and bring them back to the ground? I ask because sometimes I'll be playing, someone will get near me, I'll jump and air S them and for some reason, even on hit, it seems to leave me at a frame disadvantage...
Fun but frustrating character.
Some of these nerfs are out of control. Seems like the 12 new chars are most likely top tier considering how they bashed the whole cast other than a few. I mean ryu seriously? And as if storm and magneto werent good enough they have moves that can push and pull wherever which totally can f#ck up your setup and then you get infinte combod by him or taste the insane damage of the razor hail!!
Its great to see the lesser used characters getting the fixing they need.

He has over 40 F**king moves with a whole bunch being done in 1 combo, its only nesassary to nerf him to keep him balanced.
Seriously though being buffed and can go fast after air S is VERY helpful for arthur his speed is already a burden

Well i haven't seen much gameplay from Wesker, beside a trailer where he didn't do much. But teleports are where i mainly launch my offence from, mainly using the speed to teleport behind or above them to start a combo or to dodge attacks, if they are too slow then that may not be possible right? Nothing against the combo and damage potential though, (hopefully the teleport still works after a ghost butterfly to continue the combo) at least his counter moves and rhino charge will still make him playable maybe.
and as for Ryu i suppose it will make him more interesting but just as long as they dont push it too far
When they mean "Soft Knockdown", it's just like a sweep that they're able to tech when they hit the ground?
I mean, most Zero players can Hienkyaku to the floor and Rekkoha as SOON as the Lv.3 Buster hits and knockdown happens, but does that mean we'll have to be "faster" because they could tech on knockdown?

yea the thread about the Umvc3 tournament a few post down from this have some wesker footage in it. And yea he can still teleport after gun shots, it would be messed up if the would have taking out something that was even in his trials. I understand you have a certain playstyle you wish to keep he still seems to have it.
Still waiting on more concrete ryu info myself, curious to see how the powered up version of his tatsu super holds up. Seeing how Jin isnt in the game someone else got the ulimate cyclone. And that hado srk looks like a slow ken flaming srk with little vertical range. too bad no opportunity to test myself, wanting to see how thor and hulk shaped up. the 1 clip of thor ive seen he still seems to have slow movement and slow normals before his face got shoved inwards before really getting to do anything.

...that's ridiculous, Zero needed many options to combo into Hypers to offset his low health, why take away a very useful attack?
Y'know, we have to charge it, and it goes away if we get hit, so why take away the big reward from the big risk of charging it?
Random Lv.3 Buster hard knockdown into Rekkoha does NO damage compared to a 600k magic series -> extended air combos via air M and H that happens to end in a Lv.3 Buster -> Hienkyaku -> Rekkoha. Taking away the reward while keeping the risk is absurd. They should make it charge faster to balance that out.
Super long list... and not ONE thing about spiderman.... thats messed up. Oh well, still happy about the dante, wolverine, and phoenix nerfs.... i dont even fight many phoenix players online, I just hate seeing that fireball spam while shes falling in tourneys.... glad they nerfed the tron, akuma and haggar assists too.
I like the morrigan changes, hopefully theres more... wonder if that fireball does the same thing on block since its slow. And looking forward to trying out ryu.
@ 31 well okay i am re-assured now, thank you, i will check out that footage, so long as you can still pretty much do whats in the trials and that, as long as he is still pretty strong, but he is my main speed and combo person, but im looking forward to most of the changes, and yeah agreed on the Ryu things :)

It says "After a air BnB" which means the hit stun scaling makes Rocket punch xx Hyper Sentinel Force not work as they can flip out.

That's a lot of info. I'm still surprised to see that Strider has TWO Level 3 Supers. This is a first... almost as much as the Level 5 Super that turns Phoenix to Dark Phoenix. Still shocked by that.
