Well Ryoma admitted to it first so I'm sure it was just common ground at this point.
Yeah, I was shocked as well that they both admitted it..I really wanted Gambit in he was #2 most requested Marvel, but from my understanding MARVEL didn't want him in. CAPCOM gave me Vergil so I guess it's all good.Not gonna lie though I was hoping for that Dante, Wesker and Gambit team..LoL.Oh well.
Hey!!! When they show the character select screen if you pause it you can see a picture of Gambit in the Bottom left corner.
I love how in one interview he said Hawkeye and Ghost Rider were his personal favorite and now it's Firebrand and Strider. It seems everyone is his personal favorite
@11
they already cut the price down $20, if we were to pay $5 each character we would be paying $60 and that's not including the extra modes and balance changes. I'm not trying to justify the expansion so soon but if your gonna complain about something don't spew out the same BS everyone says about every game that has dlc. There is a lot of other things to complain about.
Why are always scrubs playing those games? Stupid Capcom.
Around 4:50 Seth mentions a "Days of Futures Past" stage which was an X-Men story line in which Senator Kelly is assassinated and the sentinels took over forcing the mutants in into internment camps. This is an alternate future kinda thing but apparently it was a really popular story arc.
@21 Days of Future Past is also the source of a very iconic cover, which is what Seth was likely talking about altering for cameos.
man seth is such a liar. i remember there was a post where he said ghost rider and iron fist wouldnt make it cuz they r just "punchy" characters. real n spectacular my @$$. n still no megaman? this is y i didnt buy the game n dont plan on buying it. just waitin on sf x t n third strike.
Capcom take it easy because if you guys continue this route, eventually it is going to back fire. As a new fighting game coming close on its release date two other fighters are announced and the process recycles...eventually market is going to be over saturated with Capcom fighters and it is not going to work any more.
I learned my listen Capcom...I won't be getting SFXT on the first day nor I would be getting the new announced Darkstaker games, not even the newly SFA game..I will way a couple years until the definite versions come out, and I will buy them used.
@3 i think he does he was takin couple of arrows before he was interupted
man since this video im sooooo hyped for t-103 man i cant wait
@19 You don't get lucky to work for the largest and most successful fighting game company of all time as their lead PR rep for fighting games in the States.
Also, Seth isn't an idiot. He was a college professor prior to having his current job.
Seth just has a very difficult job as the "messenger" who gets killed by fans for Capcom's mistakes. Give the guy a break.
I knew it! I knew that the only reason crappy Hawkeye was in, was bcos of the future Avengers film.. Hawkeye is a terrible choice IMO. Especially when characters like Venom, Carnage, Dr Octopus, Green Goblin, blade etc would be soo much better. Ghost Rider looks pretty good. Whats with the terrible textures on Strider? He looks shocking n bland :(
Its a shame that X-Factor is still in, bcos that was the biggest flaw in MvC3, and totally breaks the whole game for me.. I think i'll pass on this one
@27
Carnage and Venom haven't been in vogue since the 90's and Eddie Brock isn't even Venom now. If Marvel allowed Venom to be in the game, it would be the Flash Thompson one and I'm sure most of us would not want that.
I agree about Dr. Octopus and Green Goblin though, but I don't think either of them should replace Hawkeye, whom I personally have always liked. I would have preferred those two over Iron Fist and Nova though. I don't think they would consider Blade since they now have two guys with blades, Dante and Vergil, and they might be too close to one another in play-style. Last thing I remember, Green Goblin was in an Iron Man-like suit, so he might be too similar to Iron Man... though, I would prefer classic Green Goblin.
Also, whose idea was it to put Iron Fist in the game instead of Daredevil? What a joke.
Seth looks visibly pissed off about the leaks. Now he sees how everyone felt when they saw Rocket Racoon.
@28 they dont have to put the most recent versions of the characters i mentioned in. The "proper" Venom is Eddie, and always will be. And Venom has ALWAYS been popular.
I was talking about classic Green Goblin or even Green Goblin form the Spidey 3 film. Not the more recent mech suit Goblin.
Hawkeye is boring, always has been, and the only reason hes in is bcos of the future Avengers film. Taskmaster has more than enough Hawkeye moves to cover him not being in. IMO hes a waste of a spot. There are so many other cooler characters that could be in. ie, Azazel, Nightcrawler, Mistique, professor X, sandman, silver surfer, penance and the others i mentiones before. All of whiich are MUCH BETTER choices than Hawkeye.
(If you can't play the game because of x-factor, your character requests are null and void.)
@32
Marvel decided and signed off on characters. There is no way they would allow older versions of their characters to be in the game. This whole game is one big advertisement for their characters, so they gain nothing from allowing older incarnations of characters to be in the game. They want people to get into their current product.
Hawkeye isn't boring. All his various arrows are always interesting. There is a reason guys like Hawkeye and the Green Arrow, the DC version of Hawkeye, are popular -- people like the whole Robin Hood gimmick.
Not everyone will like the same characters. I hate the X-Men, so guys like Azazel, Nightcrawler, Mistique and Professor X would suck in my eyes. I do like the idea of Sandman and Silver Surfer, but there are many reasons why those guys aren't in the game. The devs are looking for specific play-styles (the reason why Firebrand was chosen to be in the game) and they may not match what they want or Marvel may not want them in a game. Who knows? It's all guess work.
#20
That's because they have the covers for all 3 of the Vs. games on there.
Left Side: MVC1
Middle: Japanese MVC3 cover
Right Side: MVC2
@32
Why are you arguing about how boring Hawkeye is if you never read a comic with him? Your post reeks of "I watched the cartoons in the 90's and played a few video games, so I'm an expert in comics"
@37
You're right. People's first reaction to things and characters they don't know is always "they suck," when in reality they don't know what they are talking about.
If we're talking about Avengers here:
Personally, instead of Hawkeye, Mr. Ant-Man/Giant-Man himself Hank Pym would have been a better choice. Give him 2 other modes of play, kind of like quick change Ryu: Ant-Man (would be like Servebot size or maybe as short as Viewtiful Joe) and Giant-Man (would be Sentinel's size) and then your regular size that you start off with. That would have brought more dynamic in playstyle than Hawkeye, which let's face it, is indeed pretty much a rehashed Taskmaster in the zoning-projectile department.
Other Avengers I would have added instead of Hawkeye would have been Vision or Scarlett Witch.
But ultimately I think they have enough Avengers already and they should have focused on adding Avenger villains like Loki, Ultron, Baron Zemo and Mandarin.
@40
What new gameplay elements would Luke Cage bring to the game that Hulk, She-Hulk, etc. etc., don't already have?
I like the Vision or Scarlet Witch ideas better, but Scarlet Witch might be hard to figure out good moves for since her powers are weird.
If they put in Hawkeye, and Taskmaster already has some similar powers, since he sort of like Super Skrull with multiple power sets of other heroes, why aren't any of the Fantastic Four in this game? Just doesn't make sense. Super Skrull just uses a taste of the Fantastic Four powers in this game, whereas a Mr. Fantastic by himself could do all sorts of crazy stuff. Oh well, that is old news I guess.
Akuma: Demon Flip: A new command throw that Akuma has had in Street Fighter titles.
Tatsumaki Zankukyaku: When used as an assist, knocks enemy away rather than knocking them down.
Captain America: Double Jump: Captain America seems to have a double jump now.
Shield Slash: The speed of this special has been increased dramatically.
Overall Mobility: Captain America, overall, appears to be a much faster character now.
Dante: Combos: Dante’s basic combos do not seem to be executed in the same way or have simply been changed completely. No detailed info on this yet.
Deadpool: Quick Work: The distance/range of this attack is said to have been increased.
Dormammu: Flame Carpet: Pushes the opponent further away. Faster?
Iron Man: Uni-Beam: Overall startup and speed of attack increased and is now very spammable. Fly speed buffed, startup reduced?
Haggar: Lariat no longer a hard knockdown
Magneto: Attraction: A new special move that resembles an orb which drags the opponent towards him. (A special)
Dash: Magneto’s dash speed has been nerfed significantly.
Disruptor: Has had it’s speed reduced and is now slower overall.
Repulsion: A new special move that resembles an orb which pushes the opponent away from him. (B special)
Gravitation: A new special that Magneto can use to ground airborne opponents. (C special)
Air loops (mostly?) removed. Corner loops still work.
Phoenix: Air Limitations: Phoenix can now only perform one special in the air before dropping back to the ground.
Ryu: Chargeable Hadoken: A hadoken move that can be charged (like Zero’s buster). Travels extremely fast at maximum charge.
Hadou Shoryuken: A brand new shoryuken that I have no current information on.
Shinku Hadoken: Can now reflect off of walls. It seems to reflect at a forty five degree angle.
Sentinel: Sentinel Force Charge: Drones are deployed faster when used as an assist. Overall speed boost barring lasers.
She-Hulk: Overall Mobility: She-Hulk, overall, appears to be a much faster character now. Exchange glitch removed.
Storm: New Wind Specials: Storm can now pull and push the opponent her using winds. Fair wind and foul wind. One pulls you a bit closer, the other much closer. Can no longer call assists when floating.
Tron: Bonne Strike: This special now has a quicker recovery time.
Gustaffe Fire: The assist version of this has been nerfed. Tron Bonne is more vulnerable when called out to perform this assist attack.
Air H now pushes people much farther away limiting combo possibilities.
Wesker: Health Nerf: Wesker has been given a health nerf. Not sure how much less he has, but his health is said to be lower now. Allegedly even faster in XF Level 3. Forward air grab sends enemies full screen.
Wolverine: Berserker Slash: This attack’s speed has been reduced. Lost some of its invincibility.
Swiss Cheese: An oddly named new special move where Wolverine quickly slashes diagionally many times. Dive kick nerfed.
Well half joking about Luke Cage, but they do need more black folks or hell other people of color in this game. Seems to be pretty Anglo heavy, just an observation. Bishop could essentially be a Cable proxy, WITH the ability to gain more meter than usual when hit by projectiles on block and especially hit. Then of course you have Blade or Black Panther, but again punchy and there's also alot of sword play as is. War Machine is another one, just so long he's not too similar to Iron Man Shadow King could be an interesting addition though.
@34 please learn how to read properly, and use you brain before you post again.
I never said i "couldnt play the game beacuse of x-factor"
Nor was i "requesting" characters. I simply hate the whole "idea" of x-factor, and i was only stating my opinion on better character choices than Hawkeye.
Nothing on hulk yet? Really hope they fix his hitbox on his standing fierce.
Wow he actually admitted to a leak. I'm a little surprised.
