• X-factor has been nerfed. Damage boost seems lower, duration seems lower on XF 2 and 3.
• X-factor is usable in the air. This is, surprisingly, not a bad thing. It actually adds a whole new, and fun, dynamic to the mix.
• DHC trick is fixed.
• The new hud is ugly, and an atrocity, but you'd be surprised how quickly you can learn to ignore it.
• New voice over's when a character is forced in by another character's death.
• Down TAC still builds yourself 1 meter, but side TAC removes a meter from the opponent. Really irritating / scary.

i like the hud too just cant see your teams health too well
This wasn't mentioned in the article but apparently Tron got nerfed pretty badly. I'm not really an expert but from what I heard it was the command grab and jump-H in particular that were nerfed and there's reports that her health got reduced. Cue more rage from Megaman fans thinking it was planned from the start since now Capcom apparently hate the whole franchise, although I think Zero got buffed.
Why doesn't everyone hate the new HUD? I actually like it, minus the strange looking hyper meter bars. Any who, thank GOD they nerfed X-Factor. That was the only thing holding this game back. Would have preferred them moving it entirely, whatever.
I dont think wolverines berserk slash should lose all invincibility. Maybe like the hard version can be invincible cause wolverine has no other way to get in. Or medium version one of the two can have invincibility. And of course ryu gets a sh!t load of bufffs as if he wasnt good enough!! And dormmamu's flame carpet shouldnt die away when hit thats his whole keep out game when in close qaurts. Cap.america oughta get an otg like maybe the shield stab like in marvel ultimate alliance intro or somethin you know?

Dude, that makes no sense. Playing competively against somebody is ALWAYS a guessing game. SSF4 is all about guessing right. That's what hit confirm is basically. Just more metagame for a game that barely has any.

On Topic, I did notice how a character shouts something as they go in for a dead character. Magneto: FOR MUTANT KIND!!!
Side TAC removes a opponents meter...what!? That's like...shoot idk what to call it lol
Overall...I'm digging the x-factor nerf. Balance things out a bit.
As for the HUD...Meh, it's just there. Nothing I can praise or complain. I do love the new numbers in the hyper meters lol
@11: I just think it's stupid that you can mash buttons and get a massive combo because of TAC, and its complete luck whether you can break it or not.. It rewards n00bs for not learning anything. why would a n00b bother learning a real combo when you can just mash out TAC's?
I'd be fine with the new HUD if it were easier to see your allies' health bars. Otherwise these changes are looking pretty good.
I hope they change the pre-fight vs screen and win screen back to how it was in vanilla. It's hideous right now. The in-battle HUD I can live with as long as they make assist health bars easier to see.
I hope they don't nerf captain america or magneto dash combos
I don't know if it was mentioned in an interview but I assume the hud is supposed to be easier to read with peripheral vision? like you definitely know if you used xfactor yet
The side TAC change is basically an indirect way to nerf Phx haha. Anyway I always wondered (after seeing how players can easily do a huge comeback with dark phx) if Capcom were to incorporate some kind of move that would drain their opponent's meter. Well, my thought came true haha.
Glad to see Morrigan is getting a boost in damage, even if it's not significantly noticeable. She was always a solid character, but damage output was pretty haphazard.
Aside from her, most of my mains and subs have been (more or less) covered, until we find out more anyway ;) Waiting on changes on Hsien Ko and Jill and I'll be satisfied =)
The new HuD is terrible. the only thing that looks remotly better is the X-Factor X. But thats abit on the large side for my liking.. IMO X-Factor needs to be removed completely, or at least majorly nerfed
new HUD is an atrocity? ...way to be dramatic. If anything is an atrocity its that ugly ass red orb in character's stomach during x-factor, I really hope they change that. I like the new bars, though I admit they could make it a little easier to see the health of characters not in use.
HUD looks more xmen vs street fighter-ish with mvc1 mixed in. The X could be smaller though.
How is that a Hyper drain a nerf to Pheonix?
If some1 has pheonix on their team. All they have to is keep mashing side and S. BUT if the opponent knows. They can get free meter.
