yeah people need to realise marvel is separate from capcom. If u look at the new 12 chars the capcom side were actually very much requested in the polls with,vergil,strider,strange, frank and phoenix wright. literally the most requested on the polls. And on the lackluster marvel side not much but as seth said they're a diff company so they can only use wat they let them. Not capcoms fault no venom or watever

I like that Marvel has say.. and now that I think about it, I wish I didn't know the whole roster. I think learning about Rocket Raccoon, Nova and Iron Fist legit would of really made my day.

I wonder why they went with Nova and not Quasar or Sentry. He's essentially Marvel's equivalent to Green Lantern right?

We only ear capcom voice about the marvel chars, they put storm,magneto, hulk captain america, spidey , but they dont want Cyclops, gambit , venom, cable, seriously?

I understand they try to relaunch chars like dr strange , ghost rider or nova, but how can u not put the xmen leader in dat game,he was in the vs series from the begining?In my opinion capcom want to keep game balance cuz they know that if they put cyclops and cable in, they will break dat game.
And it will end like mvc2 with marvel chars only team.

Storm was the X-men's leader multiple times too, IIRC.

I can see why Marvel might be avoiding Cyclops right now though. A lot of people don't seem to like him in fact a lot of people HATE him (not me, I'm indifferent on the guy).

The new ones they showed off, anyway, were a snow-covered variant of Kattelox Island and a new stage based on the Shadowland arc of Daredevil, where Daredevil (seemingly) goes evil and takes over the assassin league The Hand, and lords over Hell's Kitchen. The black suited Daredevil even sits on a throne int he middle of the stage, watching you fight for his amusement.

I can understand the red tape that may be involved with getting characters that "the people" want for the Marvel side. But seriously Fireband, as for Nemisis and Virgil....Meh. There are so many iconic characters from the cap-com universe that could have inspired more of a reaction than Meh.
IE: Megaman X, Gill, insert Red Earth/Power-stone/Onimusha/Breath of Fire/Lost planet character here, a generic Monster Hunter character, Captain Commando, Regina from Dino-Crisis, just to name a few.....Sigh but really ....Fireband over all of those!!!!
Who the hell under 30 remembers who that is or was even old enough to know!?!

Yea your right about storm being the leader sometimes, but Cyclops is the original protagonist and leader, also, characters like Wolverine and Storm were not on the first comics, they were invented years later.

@ #27: More than a few of the series you lsited would've gotten a gigantic "Meh" from me, which I was excited for basically everyone on Marvel (RACKET RACCOON YYEEEAAAAA) and excited for Firebrand, Nemesis, and Frank West. They can't please everybody.

Right, but they needed more Capcom "Villains" which I they achieved. All except the the more iconic Capcom villains like M. Bison and Dr. Wiley. Firebrand is a solid choice. You have already have Arthur so Firebrand is perfect, I say. He'll be on one of my teams for sure.

A lot of people hate cyclops in the comics but you'd be crazy to say he sucked in children of the atom and the rest of the vs games. He has always been very good especially with the optic sweeps, blasts and he always had the best air throw in the games. Doing an air combo and finishing it off with a blast shooting you to the ground was so sick.

I gotta hand it to the surveyor, maxwell mcgee, for asking all of the best questions. Some of those I didn't realize were important until I heard them since I don't play mvc3 much. Great job Maxwell.

You put a poll anywhere about roster and you know that POPULAR characters will always be on top. "Oh once you play them you realize they are fun" Well duh, its just character mechanics. Capcom can make Dare Devil as fun and as mechanic similar to Taskmaster as they want. Its all about hitboxes and animations. I call it BS. Its all Marvel trying to make money with unpopular stuff so they can rehash it into new cartoons, comics and movies.

First off, why is that a BS answer? Ghost Rider has a new comic and movie coming out. Hawkeye, Nova, Strange, and Iron Fist are all in the Avengers which has a movie coming out and is one of Marvels most important comic book titles.

THen you talk about Taskmaster, Dorm and Shuma. Shuma was put in for Japanese fan service and because he has a totally unique look compared to everyone else on the roster. Taskmaster and Dormammu are characters that are frequently seen within the Marvel continuity, they aren't shocking out of left field picks so your an idiot if you think they are. They bring unique styles and visual looks with them. When Marvel put out a list of villians Capcom most likely was most likely attracted to those guys and I wouldn't blame them.

And of course its about Marvel trying to make money why wouldn't it be? You would be stupid to think otherwise, why would they jump head first into this without profit? Use your brain and think about that for a second.

I would like Daredevil in the game too, I think he is a good character but honestly there are people with more interesting powers and abilities that would make for more interesting gameplay in my opinion (which is why I dislike Nova and Hawkeye). But whatever, Marvel has vested interest in making this Avengers vs Capcom so there is nothing we can do about it.

Wasn't M. Bison (Dictator) leaked alongside Strider a few months ago? And with images that prove it! Strider got confirmed for UMvC3 now, so that means that Dictator will be made as DLC! Which was the first impression after that leak.

So, do not despair! Capcom still wants your money! They just announced the release date for the "full game". They still have the plan to extort everyone of their hard-earned cash with their "promised" Monthly DLC character releases!

Someone needs to ask Seth if this the Final Disc release and if they are going to do the same Enhancement for SFxT
