In a press release initially posted by Shadowloo.com, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its details were revealed today. More details are assumed to be coming in the next couple of hours.
Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, and Marvel Entertainment today announced that Ultimate Marvel® vs. Capcom® 3 is in development for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will take the epic battle to all new heights with new iconic characters from the Marvel and Capcom universes, a refined fighting system, eight new stages and new modes when it releases this November for the low MSRP of $39.99.
The highly acclaimed fighting game adds 12 new legends to the robust Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster, bringing the total overall roster of characters up to 50. The first new characters revealed for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 include much-requested Capcom character Strider who slashes his way into the fray along with Ghost ‘n Goblins™ villain Firebrand. On the Marvel side, Ghost Rider will finally exercise his vengeance and Hawkeye will pick apart foes. More characters will be revealed in the coming months.
In addition to characters, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 features a host of enhancements and new features to improve the game’s balance and online functionality. Capcom should have added spectator mode to MvC3 after fans have requested it, not subtly put it into a new $39.99 game if the fans wanted it.

I actually hate when Capcom does this but, for 12 new characters, new stages, trophies and a new re-balancing I think it's worth it. Nothing to really bitch about from me. I'm pretty sure people can re-sell their old copies for $20-$30 dollars a few months before it releases. If you hate spending a ton of cash on similar items just be sure just to sell it 2 months in advance or just trade in the old copy plus another $8 dollar game or a game of higher value and $10 bucks and get it free. It's really not that bad people but, paying $50 bucks for it and still have the old game now that sucks. So just prepare a head of time if you don't have a lot of cash to spend.

I don't care if they screwed us over with the original back in Feb (not like it flopped in tournies anyway) - this amount of new (and rebalanced!) content is well worth the price tag IMO.
Strider, Zero, Sentinel (unless rebalancing or a new character catches my eye) - lets go.

Wow 2weeks ago i just bought the retail version of
Street fighter 4 arcade edition(Pc)
Downloaded the Dlc for xbox360,
Bought some xbl points for the costumes,
and a Blazepro arcade stick for versus with my friends.
Then this...

but can they just reduce the price,
if only strider was a dlc for vanilla(mvc3)
and what about mega man its frustrating that they cancelled legends3, at least bring the little guy back.
So people really don't care that CAPCOM sold them an unbalanced, unfinished game less than six months earlier for $60. It's all OMG STRIDER THANK YOU CAPCOM HAVE MY BABIES.
I just hope they make the poor Street Fighter characters actually playable now.

And yeah so glad I spent the extra $10 on the dlc characters I'm going to end up paying for again anyways. That's honestly my only complaint about this "re-release."
They should at least have a $10 off deal for the people who bought those.

$40 for 12 new characters is a good deal imo. I still remeber the days when most fighters only had ~12 characters in their entire roster.
