A nice set of images of the covers and logo for the upcoming Ultimage Marvel vs. Capcom 3 were posted today. What do you think of the designs and the Shinkiro artwork? Also check out the potential alternate costumes for Wesker, C.Viper, Super Skrull, MODOK, Morrigan, Chun-Li, X-23, Storm, Doctor Doom, Akuma, Strider and Sentinel.

terrible artwork, I don't really like this kind of art style. It resembles SNK more than Capcom as one pointed out.

wasn't there licensing issues with strider? didnt know how to incorpate the bike with ghost rider? something is fishy with capcom. basically paying 100 dollars for ultimate mvc3 when mvc3 should have had what umvc3 has. im happy these characters are in it , but they should have been in from the start. along with spectator mode.

Lol, I thought the new cover art looks good. I don't like oh MvC3 makes all the people look realistic. I like the purty colors with this one. Also you guys, who rly cares about the cover when the game releases? I'm not going to spend most of my time *Admiring the glory. I'm just going to play the damn game :p

To be perfectly frank, Hawkeye was requested far more than Taskmaster, MODOK, She-Hulk and X-23.

If you weren't aware, The Marvel Community has been clamoring for as many of the most memorable Avengers as possible.

Hawkeye is one of the top 5, just barely above Black widow as #6. (Cap, Iron Man, Hulk and Thor over him and with both Black Widow, Vision beneath him respectively.)

The downside is... *deep gasp*

Capcom screwed Marvel out of Black Widow by adding in the RE5 version of Jill. This change would have never occurred had Capcom Not tried to so desperately shoehorn in Frank West in as Frank's moveset (zombie summoning) steps on Classic Jill's toes from MvC2.

Way back when TvC:CGOH was still fresh in Japan, fans requested an RE rep and was told a load of BS by Capcom reps about something to the effect of the zombies being 'unpleasant when rendered in 3d/detracting from the game' and then turned right around and shoved Frank West in UAS despite massive fan complaint (See, he not only steps on Jill's shoes, but Megaman X's shoes as well. Also, had Dante been put in TvC first, his movelist might not have been so exaggeratedly large in MvC3.)
*inhale*

So, there. A massive ripple effect from one bad call. Now you know. I really feel terrible for the guys that so want Black Widow. Capcom's done a MASTERFUL job of screwing them (and probably a ton more fans) over.

@50sent...they rushed mvc3 thats why it was mediocre (8 stages, garbage online, no spectator mode) They should have taken its time with it to make it right and ssf4 didnt have as bad as an online as mvc3 and isnt as broken.

Not in the slightest.
If I WERE happy, I would have actually expressed it.

See, I have a "three strikes" Policy when it comes to these thing and Capcom's in debt with bad decisions. Without exaggeration, Capcom has managed to stack a staggering 15 strikes straight, meaning a debt of +12 over the allowed limit. And that's -just- the Fighting Game community over the last 4 years. Including all genres, I haven't precisely gotten around to counting, but it might be in excess of +25.

I WANT to be happy, but that requires that Capcom stop the BS immediately and rectify all the mistakes that were made outright or at the very least make up for them.

I see Strider's returned, but that doesn't repair any of the 15 strikes against them specifically because the strikes are coming from community at large (regardless of what I want). Many, or the larger half are still irate and plenty sore over past nonsense.

Gamestop is the Femme Fatale Pack, and Amazon is the New Age of Heroes Pack.

Cyber Akuma in was the boss of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. He makes sense for MVC3. He wouldn't make any sense for SF4.

@40 actually Viper's costume looks reminiscent of Patriot, one of the Young Avengers. Maybe they want to Marvelize some of the Capcom roster with some of these alts.

Also its good to see Capcom DID listen to fans, i love most of the new additions and i love the cover of the game, its 100 times better than vanilla MVC 3. Now i wish for new stages

For me Cyber Akuma looks lame on marvel3.

I'm loving Morrigan's alt. Damn sexy the usual type of clothe she wears at her castle. Unlike any queen with bunch of metal all over their bodies and faces Morrigan holds fashion at her own place.

I'm actually digging Vipers alt. As the woman that she is and her seriousness about business and how demanding she looks. The captain outfit totally fits. Remember guys capcom it's not one that will satisfy you. They keep characters to their prospective and how they act.

I think modoc looks bad ass lmfao i did loved what they did there.

okay okay. I barely saw a comment talking of Hackeye being not good for the spotlight? whoever said that clearly doesn't know of marvel what's so ever. Hackeye is an amazing character.
