eLive Entertainment has sent us a press release detailing the recent addition of Kindevu and RF to their list of sponsored players. They also stated that they will assist both of these players in participating in EVO 2011. For those who do not know, eLive|RF and eLive|Kindevu were the SBO 2010 champions. A piece of their press release is given below.Known as the best Sagat player in Japan in SSF4 eLivepro|RF, A.K.A. "The King", is now willing to show his skills on the international level and the 2011 Evolution will be an event worthy of this incredible player for sure.
Quite the versatile player, RF is good at many different games. Famous for being the best Faust in the world in GGAC, he is also a well-known KOF player (qualified every year for SBO).
Winner of the SBO 2010 in 2 different categories, he also won the Stunfest 2011 in 2 different games: SSF4, and GGAC.
Recently, eLivepro|RF made a great performance during the Shadowloo Showdown 2011 in Australia. By placing 3rd in SSF4AE solo and 2nd in SSF4AE Team, he showed the world that Sagat is still a force to be reckoned with.
Called the "Genius", eLivepro|Kindevu took his first steps among the champions by playing CVS2 and the Guilty Gear series.
He first won the SBO 2004 in CVS2 with his teammates MCZ.Mago and Sawada, and finished top 4 during the SBO 2005 in Guilty Gear XX #Reload with eLivepro|RF and Kubo.
Kindevu began his international career by performing well in US competitions, placing 3rd for CVS2 and 2nd on GGXX#R during EVO 05, as well as 1st for CVS2 and 2nd for GGXX during EVO 06.
But the Genius really started to show his full potential with SF4: ranked 3rd in the Japanese National Championship in 2009, he became the National Champion in 2010 and also won the SBO that same year.
Friends in real life and eternal fighting partners, eLivepro|RF and eLivepro|Kindevu finished 2nd in SSFIV AE Team tournament during the Shadowloo Showdown 2011.
They are now united under the same flag and playing for the same team.

"They are now united under the same flag and playing for the same team."
This made me laugh for some immature reason. Awesome that we're getting Kindevu + RF for Evo as well.
@1 Most of these Japanese players coming have no seeding points towards evo. They could very well end up taking each other out before top 8.
I want to see Haitani as well! He was so fun to watch at SS
the jps are ready to take that evo cash and dash, who can or will stop them? Who is/are the BEST hope for the USA?
There will probably be no US players in top 8.
...Although, there are definitely a bunch that stand a chance.
@#15
That's an extremely good point that I completely overlooked. lol
I suppose the US need something like that to compete :P
Going to be hilarious if none of the American's make top 10 in their own tournament. Can't expect much when everyone's either on MvC3, or just don't get enough exposure to get better.
This will easily be the best SF4 tournament to date. It's going to be crazy with so many really good players showing up. Now that these guys are sponsored maybe they will be forced to learn other games. This would be great for the community.
My biggest problem these days with MvC3 and the US scene is that every other sentence out of the commentator's mouth is "oh...he dropped it". "Oh...He dropped it again..."
It gets hard to watch when players can't hit combos in a game like MvC3.
This will be the best SF4 tournament to date... until SBO which will actually be the best.
@26 what you actually are going to pay to watch SBO?
But I agree odds are the might end up taking each other out depending on how the bracket is set up it would be nice if someone come EVO can get a copy of them and post them online to get a good idea.
Well they really want to one up SS just get me Itabashi, Tsrai, Uryo, Vryu, Allioune & Luffy and I will die a happy man.
@you have to pay for watching SBO? lol
I've looked into the future and he are the top 8:
1. Daigo
2. Poongko
3. Infiltration
4. RF
5. Mago
6. Momochi
7. Kindevu
8. ChocoBlanka, lol
STAY FREE USA!!!
I continue to see bitter comments about the possibility of no US players being in top 8 because of so many "GDLKE" international players are going to compete in EVO 2011. Seriously, if you are scared feces-less just because there might be others who are better than you, then what's the point of playing fighting games?
By the way, any non-US people play MK9 seriously?
No they don't since it isn't really true.
Many of the Japanese players coming DO have Evo points. Shadaloo Showdown was an Evo tournament, so all the ones that went there got points.
EVO Top 8 is very likely to be all foreigners.. but who cares? That's a good thing. US/Japan rivalries are fun in this scene, and often, it takes Japan coming over here and owning us, before US players shape up. Most US players still haven't played a lot of the Japanese, so this will be a good chance to do so. Only stream monsters and forum randoms get all worked up over this stuff, and use it as a way to slander one group or another. The real players welcome the challenge, and the chance to get better.
Also, as good as Poongko is, I don't know if he can make it at Evo. His style is so risky... I'm not sure he'll be able to make it through a 2-3,000 man bracket taking as many risks as he does. We'll see though. It will definitely be interesting.
Don't be surprised when you see some upsets though.. Just know that. America has quietly gotten pretty damn good at SF4. There are a bunch of players that are very capable of beating top foreign talent.
We need some more G4 coverage on this to show how much bigger EVO is from last couple of years. Even bigger internationally. People keep pushing Adam Sessler from the FGC with harsh but true words.
Everyone seem to forget that the seeded players such as J.Wong etc are just as likely to be in the same bracket as a bunch of these "unseeded" players.
haha this just adds more chances of having a foreign top 8 in AE at Evo.
@HAV:
If you're referring to Poongko's risk as to his random dp's, it's not that risky if you think about it. If you pay attention to his matches, he only random dp when he has bars to fadc out of it. Also, I've been noticing that Seth's non EX dp has a lot of priority comparing to other non EX dp's in the game which it makes it less risky.
@HAV you going to stick with Abel or go between him and Yang?
Also Im curious to see how they stick up to some US players lets face it Aussies where pretty bad.
Poongko uppercuts all the time without bar to FADC. Also, just having 2 bars doesn't make it safe. People will work to avoid the DP's altogether, if they KNOW you'll just throw them out, and people know that about Poongko. He's a good enough player to use the knowledge people have on him, to his advantage, but in a larger bracket, it gets difficult to guess right THAT many times. Not to mention, each fight is more mentally taxing, when you HAVE to outguess, constantly, as opposed to just winning because you're more solid. I predict he'll struggle to get out of pools. Just my thought. If he does get out, he can win the whole thing, but I think he'll have a really hard time making it out of pools, unless he gets a REALLY free bracket, which I think is pretty unlikely, because the US has genuine killers now. I think players like Latif, Wolfkrone, BananaKen, PR Rog, Naps, ROM, Ricky, Hsien, and a host of other players, can beat ANYBODY at any given time. I don't necessarily think they all have legit shots to make Top 8, themselves, but they can definitely spoil it for someone else.
Grimmjow- I'm not going to Evo this year =(
I'm done with Abel though. I've literally played less than 20 matches with Abel since AE came out. I've brought him out in tournament for 4 matches total, and I don't want to have to lean on him again, at all. Nothing against Abel.. I'm just moving on.
evo will put them all in one side of the bracket. let them take eachothers out. stay free Japan. lol
This year evo top 8 is only gonna consist of players with eyes like this -_- (im asian myself delete the comment if its to racist XD)
