Here's a rundown from the Cross Counter team about this episode.
Gootecks and Mike Ross are finally back in the States, and the comfy confines of Cross Counter studios! The two discuss in further detail their recent signing to comPlexity Gaming and responsibilities in managing the fighting game division of the team, including their signings of Combofiend and Filipino Champ.
Then they discuss the big month in fighting games, with SBO qualifiers this weekend, San Diego Comic-Con the next (with rumored MvC3 announcements coming), and the granddaddy of them all, EVO 2011 at the end of the month. They also talk a bit about MvC pad player Fanatiq, who recently stopped by the studios to run some sets.
Tip from Endz-O.
Power Ranger analogy >_>
Mike and Gootecks better be online with their shows FOREVER.
"great personality". Mike can sugar coat it and make power rangers analogies all he wants but you can bet there were definitely some talks when FChamp signed up on the lines of "and for gods sake, behave yourself". The bottom line is the guy has an awful attitude, and a leopard can't change it's spots so easily.
If he isn't swearing and having temper tantrums at Capcom representatives or calling fellow players "f*ggots* behind their backs you can guarantee he'll find another way to "keep it classy" sooner or later. Let's just hope in doing so he doesn't tarnish Complexity's image too much.
Ironically enough, the actor who portrayed the Green Ranger was a dick in real life.
An Asian division of Cross Counter? Wow, that's awesome! I just hope Cross Counter gets bigger and bigger.
Well allow me to further excite you on the so called rumors of MvC 3. Along with the other updates mentioned above, out of the supposed new characters, two are Frank West and Dr. Octopus, as seen in the hack thingy earlier. The interesting thing is that Dr. Octopus is supposed to be a more meter eating version of Omega Red from MvC 2, except one of his moves is a command grab (a long reaching one at that); this however doesn't take away HP, but absorbs some of the opponents meter (around 2/3 meter, full meter when mashed). When it connects, not only will this move help with Doc Oc's meter consuming problem, but it will stop the imminent activation of Dark Phoenix for at least a little while longer.
@ #6
Incredible! A meter takeaway move has been proposed before. Nice.
If these MvC3 rumours are true and new Supers are being added then maybe a lot of the new ones will have some effect on meter so people can have a way to deal with D. Phoenix. If they made all the changes that were mentioned in the video I'd probably pay full retail again just for the X-Factor fix alone. I know some people think its whiney, but damn, why the F should someone get something powerful enough to win outright on their last character just for getting their asses kicked? At least you only have one chance to use a fully charged Ultra in SF, and even if it hits it's not an insta-win. Level 3 X-Factor is too powerful AND lasts way too long... not a fun way to lose a game. Nothing needs to be said about Level 3 X-Factor D. Phoenix... We all know...
F Champ's attitude is what makes him fun to watch. A lot of people don't understand this, but the game itself is only so entertaining, its the great personalities and rivalries that make the FGC so entertaining to watch and F.CHamp helps with that immensely.
I still think that Phoenix should have her health buffed to a normal amount and that her Dark Phoenix mode should be a super just like Zero's or Arthur's. She's a great character on her own but the whole lvl 3 Xfactor Dark Phoenix just seems so auto win.
Imo MVC3 should fix the Following
DHC glitch
LONG ASS OTG time Reduce
Remove X factor
Lower everyone's Overall damage Cause wolverine's simple combos take up more than half your health
Give people Recovery times on their Supers
Fix the HIT BOXES FFS.Thats all i know im gonna get flamed for this but i don't care
I will take up the torch and be the nerd gootecks was talking about. And unfortunately in the original comics there was no one that was a counter to Pheonix. In the comics Jean Grey was able to take control of Dark Phoenix long enough to kill herself.
Nerfed X-Factor?! Just remove the whole damn thing!!! That and Dark Pheonix totally breaks/ruins the game
Hmmmn. I'll go play arcade mode and try fighting Galactus as Dark Phoenix. I wonder how easily she'll kill him ^_^
...whilst using level 3 X-Factor >_>.
dont remove xfactor just tone the damage down an all the other fixes are already said

- I tried to rundown ways that could really make MVC3 Ultimate. However, people quickly derailed the thread because it's SRK. Enjoy anyway.
UMVC3? lolz..
