T. Hawk tutorials from Ponyo160:
I've mained Hawk since he came out for SSF4. KojiKOG's always been my idol. I think him being the "lowest tier" gave me even more enjoyment in playing him. Surprised though that not many people use his Heavy Shoulder(air-only attack) into M. Typhoon (using negative edge). Medium Typhoon gives enough to either cross up with dive or dash forward and cross over body press.
Watching that first video was soo boring. T.Hawk is soo boring!!!
Most T. Hawk players I see would spam Mexican Typhoons every now and then. Not me... I'm more for his offensive pokes that give him an advantage. I'm happy T. Hawk is getting some attention here. Nice videos.
@10 and 11: T. Hawk may have horrible matchups but if you are able to use him properly then he can be a very good character. Take it from me, he's awesome.
Im glad that some people really stick with the character they wanted/liked, unlike most who ask for new chars but stick with the top.
He seems cool, I like him more than Gief at least. I hate the grapplers none the less though, boring, and 99% that I met just mash 360's during a blockstring or w/e.
T.Hawk has been my main since release. IMO better than gief; there far less patient enough players run him. His light pokes are unmatched (F*** Vega btw), and his already great border boot (Standing H.k) got better... anyone thinking they can stand next to T. Hawk missing links deserves a 360 to the face anyway.
And this hawk isnt that great. No offense to him, but he should of received a few srk's from diving so much.
With AE out, I play with Yang nowadays for laughs and pull out my favorite aboriginal to disrespect people. =] great char.
I'm probably gonna main him for awhile now as my Fuerte got nerfed for no reason...
