The Arcade Edition guide for Guile has been updated by myself here on EventHubs. This offers a straightforward rundown of all of Guile's tools. The Light Flash Kick has the most invulnerability out of all the normal Flash Kicks. This makes it the best anti-air and reversal. The Medium version's invincibility doesn't overlap the attacking portion of the move, and neither does the Hard version. The Hard Flash Kick has a really good hitbox in front of the move, but that's only after it becomes active.
If you hit the opponent with the later portion of the move, you cannot FADC and it does less damage. Be careful of how close you are to the opponent before you use this attack. As a final note, the Flash Kick should really be used very specifically in application either to break armor or get pressure off of you. The bad recovery of this move cannot be emphasized enough, and should be an incentive for you to rely on normal anti-airs.
I hate hate hate Guile. Especially Dahalism http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcZrUN...
Can I submit an updated one for Zangief? I sence a sever lack of gief love here :(
Guile's nerfs were totally retarded. Totally unnecessary.
But it makes it all the sweeter when you win a match. You sit back like Fidel Castro, just after the assassination attempt on his life by America, cigar in mouth, feeling like the King, watching your opponent in spasms of rage as they cant counter your simple anti-air zoning game.
But then you get someone with a dive kick...ooooh boy. Trades, trades, trades. Its like im playing Europa Universalis 3 or something.

I don't even use U2... but whatever.
Most of his tools can easily be beaten by a mashed SRK. If you're in the the corner, you're pretty much hopeless unless you're opponent did something stupid. EX Run is pretty useless now as Yun's lunge punch armor breaks =(. If you play El Fuerte, you'll be begging for buffs.
@#11
Many characters have many options to make people guess on wakeup and with solid ultras + with more reliable combos. Outside ultra fuerte really doesnt have much for damage options besides slowly withering someone down if he even gets a knockdown. Calling for even more nerfs is messed up.
@#12
depends on when people are mashing srks. If fuerte had gotten a knock down mashed srks dont work too well as srks have a problem auto correcting against body splashes and whiffed tortillas. And the latter can lead to a free ultra on their way down from a whiffed srk. Also blocked slides cant be punished by srks either(roundhouse slide not the running one)
Outside of all that yea srks pretty much stop anything he can do as he cant really build an offense and when put on the defensive he cant do anything. Poor fuerte >_< samurai doesnt understand the struggle to win with fuerte.
Back on topic somewhat. i can slightly sympathize with the damage nerfs guile gotten, as hes is another one of them characters that have to slowly wither people down. Means hes just gotta turtle it out longer to get the job done, and for both players sake is a complete drag of a boring match.
If he has to turtle more in AE wouldn't that make him stronger against Yun?
Great work Nyoronoru. I like Guile. Easy to pick up, but very hard to play at high level.
