The Arcade Edition guide for Gouken has been updated by myself here on EventHubs. If you follow the link, you'll see a rundown of all of Gouken's special moves, command normals, Ultras and combos.Gouken is a hard hitting zoning char with powerful resets and great damage in his combos. His fireball is great at zoning players out and forcing opponents to engage him. Gouken can also switch to attack mode quickly with his Demon Flip to catch the opponent off guard, letting him switch up between offense and defense. Most of Gouken's combos end with the opponent being flung far away where Gouken can begin his two-sided zoning game.
Gouken has some real problems with defense though. All of his reversals are extremely sub-par, forcing him to take very risky guesses on wakeup. Gouken also has no good link combos from Light Attacks and has to rely on the opponent to make major mistakes in order to land his big damage.

Valuable information for new players. Been playing him since sf4 and he has improved a lot since. Although his divekick from demonflip is no longer an overhead, the standing close medium punch is great for setting up pressure. Way more combos now and more ways to get on the offense.

@8 and 9, yeah, for the dive kick, all you have to do is time it to hit lower and you have time to combo
When u have your opponent in the corner with Gouken u can deal alot more potential damage like resets without using as much meter as u would mid screen.
Im the kind of player that likes to rush down, i dont really like staying back and throwing fireballs although this strategy works....It is very possible to rush down with Gouken when u have METER to be more SAFE.
It is important to always switch back and forth from defense to offense with Gouken and u will have a better chance of winning.
Learn how to use Gouken's far standing MK as a anti air effectively...Like knowing the best range when to use it.
