Balrog video tutorial by one of the top players in the community

One of the best Balrog players on the planet DMG|PR Balrog has posted a video tutorial for his main character in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition. This is the first episode in the series and it's nearly 8 minutes long and focuses on Balrog's normal moves. You... must... watch... this.

it's rare to see a top player release tutorial videos like this on their own character. It's a good watch, I'm glad I watched it even though Balrog is not my main.

Wow, this is helpfull. Especialy that setup with strong headbutt with a J.Roundhouse followup. I always thought he was using that to hit people quickstanding. But turns out that he uses it to get over his oppenents. Very helpfull to get a better understanding of this matchup.

Great to see one if not maybe the best Rog player with this out. I don't main him, but seeing his tricks can't hurt and gives me a better idea of some of the stuff to look out for.

Wow, this comes 2-3 years to late, doesn't it?
Balrog should be figured out by everyone by now, he's not a complex character imo. But meh, tutorials are always usefull so what the heck.

I love my main, i did the c to shining c and got 5k with 10 characters but no one has so many tools, with other chars i feel uncomfortable, every one seems like miss something Rog for the win

It's always good when a pro player puts out. This is the knowledge that makes him top. Knowing what he can do in situations and knowing the effects of each move. I like it.

to the ones saying this is late info... AE just came out.. he specifically points out the new changes and things you can do after the AE changes and was even nice enough to go over things before AE to make it a more complete package. Be thankful or stfu.

Love people clicking on a story they already deem not worthy JUST to comment and say how unneeded it is... kinda hypocritical seeing as YOUR comment is the one that is worthless yet you feel you need to let everyone know.

Much props to PR for going out of his way to make this for the community.

I've always thought the best players wouldnt put out tutorials as it may be damaging to their playstyle and potentially jeopardise their game. Props to him for putting it out.

I like Balrog, he is always my starter main which i get use to the game mechanics. Since Sf2, where i was very little, i couldn't really understand or pull off the complex combos and moves, however my friends brother taught me balrog and i've loved him ever since.

It doesn't matter how late this is. There's loads of positives, like a decent player willing to give his time for the community or even a bit knowledge for those 'less knowledgeable' than your 'elitist' selves.

@8 i think i missed that explenation then, because i only heard it when chen thought he was going with j.hp to catch their quick stand. + I Agree Chen and Ultra David are the best commentators :p Even though not as funny as other they know A LOT.

For some reason Balrog was the only top tier in all the SF versions I LIKED fighting against. That said he is pretty one dimensional/straight forward w/e you wanna call it, and very easy to pick up and play. But its still cool to see.

On the plus side, this does give more exposure to Balrog and what he can do. On the other hand, it means more gamers using him.
