I originally added Ono to my twitter when I started using it more often, thinking it would be a good feed to follow for the latest news and goings on.
However it's just Ono responding to people asking the same old questions again and again. "Give me Poison!" "Alex for SSF4!" etc, etc.. with him giving the same ambiguous responses. Sometimes I wonder if people are actually seeking an answer or just want to be all "OMG ONO REPLIED TO ME!!:O"
I've actually tried asking him some sensible questions and he never replies to those, only the same old tired "I want X character!" spam. What's more the guy can't retweet properly, so I would get a whole spam of answers to stupid questions from other people.
So yeah, eventually unfollowed him. It's a shame really, his feed is a wasted opportunity.

I really don't see why Karin isn't in SSFIV to be honest, why should Gouken be the only character to counter attack? And her branching specials would be a fun style to learn to play with. I would imagine they'd have to come up with a new Super/Ultra for her given she only has two, but having Kanzaki-Style Phoenix Fist as an Ultra would be sick based on the combos you can score with that move with just a hit-confirm double-kick.
Karin NEEDS to be in this game. I really hope Ono is referring to R.Mika and is just joking.

@LordJim Compared to Yun, that is very true. But Yang is extremely formidable and one of the more popular characters. As for "no strong showing in top 8" The fact is, if Yun wasn't so much easier (not always BETTER, but more threatening as a rushdown character.) than Yun, you'd probably see more Yangs/Feis.
Yang is a little less unbalanced than Yun. But only a little.
I find it amusing that at first, with Vanilla SF4, people where whining about Ryu's popularity, saying it was "boring to face a Ryu every other match, blah, blah, blah", now Capcom has put in a pretty powerful Yun, Yang and Fei Long, and people are playing them, well maybe not Fei as much as the twins, but still... Now we need to complain about people playing Yun. I'm sorry, but A: I have not seen that many Yun fighters online yet, I see far more Evil Ryu's and Oni's, although Yun is rather popular. B: Those that I have seen online weren't all that good. Okay, some knew how to play with him, but most didn't, so I really do not see the issue.
I also don't see why character X is sooo much cooler to be maining than Ryu or the twins. Why would I look down on somebody who wants to play with any of those characters? There are 39 characters to choose from, why would I not choose to play Yun, Fei or anybody else for that matter?
On one hand we say to newbies, pick a character you like, only to ridicule them when they choose Ryu and cvall them "tierwhore" when they pick Yun. That makes no sense, for real.

Yun is boring to watch? Ryu/Blanka/turtle+zoning is pretty darn boring as well. I know it takes a lot of skill to be a good zoner, but the turtling is annoying.
Yun is better than both those playstyles. They're just made they can't be safe by chucking plasma across the screen anymore. Yun/Yang change it. :)

Why is it that pretty much every pro on the planet admits Yun Yang and Fei are ridiculous but random people on eventhubs deny it with such fervor? Seth Killian has admitted it. Ono has admitted it....
I honestly think it's some sort of detachment from reality where they need to say they aren't powerful just so they appear like great players or something.
The same thing happened with Sagat and Sentinel until they were nerfed then everyone suddenly agreed it was needed.

I don't deny what Ono or Seth have said, but I can't recall either of them calling the twins OP. They did admit that the twins were (very) strong characters, but hey, maybe they did say OP, I don't know. in the end, we still managed to play when Vanilla Sagat was around and I don't see why I can't enjoy AE as is, just because some people feel entitled to complain about everything Yun/Yang. When they start bitching about Fei more, maybe then I will take them seriously, until then... stay free, scrubs... hold dat :D

@22 you crazy? there was only ONE king and there were TWO armor kings that were in the game. in either marduks or A. King's ending in Tekken 6 A. king claims that there are more armor kings (besides him and his brother). but there were only two that were playable in the series. i think you came up with three because the fact that you saw a total of three A. kings in the the picture frame in kings tekken 6 ending. one was of the current A. king and the other one behind it was the current A. king AND the old A. king from tekken tag tournament.

Sentinel whiners were just that. Sentinel's strengths were not negated with health decrease, and technology to beat him was out in the first two weeks.

@56 no its not exactly the same, and my point was about letting someone build meter dumbass. If you let someone build meter by letting them spam palm at 3/4 to full screen, then your an idiot. Most characters can easily punish the palm if someone over uses it
The Palm only hits you if your in/near grab range. so you cant really hide behind it like you can with a fireball.
Someone spamming palm is alot easier to counter than someone spamming fireballs

@ 45 - Pretty sure he was talking about overall in the series, in which case there *are* multiple Kings (they pass the mask on to their students). The only one that's continued on is the King from Tekken 3.
@#53: The palm is a projectile, you can't punish it with another projectile, it beats Honda headbutt, Blanka roll, Dicta scissor etc etc, and it has 344757 active frames. You can punish it jumping in, but you can punish fireballs too, it's the same thing. They have to reduce damage, active frames, hitbox and meter gain of that ridiculous move.
@63 I was a little surprised with how late palm can still hit dictator scissors; however I've found that if Yun is spamming Palm you just need to spam Demon Reverse. I don't think Yun has much to punish it (maybe shoulder charge if you mess up and come down wrong), and if you "Yomi" it right you can just drop down with a "fake headstomp" for a full punish.
*note* I'm not saying Yun doesn't deserve the nerfbat, just sayin facts :)
I just wish they would annouce the full roster of sfxtekken already. Im tried of seeing people ask for characters that either are total trash(elena), redundant(karin<fei long, charlie<guile) or are nothing more then fan service(r.mika, seriously if u wanna see a big rack theres alot of other websites for that).
Get the heavy hitters in there and then add characters that are unique(ie no more shotos) and that can be competitive.
just nerf the palm and some more recovery in the launch punch, I dont have a lot of problem with them and I main vega, but those moves are a little abusive( the active frames, safe on block, damage, and meter gain) ohh and this time dont nerf vega he wasnt even a good medium character.
yang is easier than yun but is pretty good too, just adjust the palm, fei... well some mminors nerfs and I'll be fine

Any move can punish the palm, you just have to time it right. The thing with the palm is you have to punish it BEFORE its active not AFTER. Its start up is VERY slow, and you can often see/feel when someone is gonna do one. Plus they often do at least 2 at a time. So punish the 2nd or 3rd.

But ism's def need to make a comeback. It added alot of variation to the game, just make sure the custom combos arent overpowered and were in there.
@75, it's not neccessarily jaycee. it cud be marduk, since king & marduk are allies in the tekken story. plus, the glove that king is high fiving is purple, which matches marduk's glove color. jaycee on the other hand wears silver gloves & thus, it further supports the fact dat the 'high-fiver' is marduk.
unless they're giving Asuka a new costume, that arm doesn't resemble hers. her glove would cover all of the arm shown in that picture.

the hand is most likely Marduk's. Marduk's glove is purple with the back side being green, and a green band that matches the back of his glove underneath. the hand is also bigger than King's, so for it to be a female, or a regular sized character for that matter, is hard to believe. the back of his glove and his band look blue because of the quality of the picture.

The guy who says that fireballs are boring but the palms are okay is an idiot. Ryu doesn't have a fake fireball and there are so many moves that nullify the fireballs. What do you want ? A free ultra whenever Ryu throws a fireball? If you play Chun or Abel, you've already got it. Plus the fireballs are what makes street fighter different from the loads of generic rushdown fighters.
The other hand is Marduk's.
It's the same glove that he's got in his Street Fighter X Tekken artwork, plus it's even bigger than King's hand.
I highly doubt that Asuka or Jaycee's hands would be larger than King's. And I don't think we'll be seeing Jaycee at all in the game, other than maybe as an alternate outfit for Julia.
@71 i never said they wernt.. read the posts properly. The twins are awesome. Yun is probably too good. My point was that the twins are not boring to watch(like the idiot said in the orignal post) like Ryu and Guile are.
Thank god for fighting games and community that comes with it... Good and bad. Now bring the arcades back to the states and all will be well.
