Marvel vs. Capcom 3's producer, Ryota Niitsuma is attending San Diego Comic-Con this year, which takes place July 21 - 24, 2011. Finally! we get at least something, some little hope of actually getting news about MVC3.
YOU GUYS READY FOR THE NEW SHADOW MODE DLC???? I CAN'T WAIT! THANK YOU NIITSUMA......
Even though I'm not happy about it, Capcom has done an amazing job preventing information leaks. It's super rare that a producer goes to a convention to make an announcement without the fans already having an idea of what it is.
All I'm hoping for is for alternate costumes for the other characters and new stages. Battling in the same stages get boring overtime.
@4: Yep, when that happens... things are gonna get crazy.
NEW! Alternate Costumes would be niiice ;] I can't figure out why in the world they only did ONE pack right when MvC 3 1st launched and no more since then :P
I could care less about costume packs, shadow packs, or bonus stages.
I want to hear about new DLC characters, something that will actually have an effect on the meta-game of MVC3. If this 'big MVC3 announcement' is something like shadow packs or costumes then I won't even waste my time listening.
By some small chance if Niitsuma happens to say anything about a Super MvC3 I'll take my disc and throw it in the fking trash cursing Capcom all the way to the waste basket.
Hopefully, its new stuff for the existing MvC3 and not a new MvC3 that they announce. I'd be happy even if its someone I dont care for, at least now no one can complain about buying on-disc content... unless its in fact a new disc with all new dlc to be added even later.
If they do a "Super"MvC 3.. It'll remind me of KOFXII and how that was considered by most to be an incomplete game only to make way for a "fan demanded" sequel that has all the stuff the first version should of.
I guess for me it just really depends on what they add to sweeten the pot.
I hope its a new disc based game with DLC Characters, stages and costumes on the way and extra modes :)
Super MVC3 with 15 new characters,6new stages, rebalance and new online options oh and the tone down of x-factor. That would be sweet. I doubt it'll happen but it never hurts to dream lol. If a new update was announced I wouldn't be surprise if it were for next year in time for the avengers flick after tekken x sf drops.
IMO, the best possible announcements that could be heard at the Cons.
- New MVC3 patch and characters: The online mode may have spectator mode and 4~6 new characters announced through out the rest of the year.
- Super Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Everything that was broken (online mode specifically, removing hump n' bump cards). It was probably impossible to make a patch for the game, so they had no choice but to make super MVC3. probably 10 new characters and 2 ON THE DISC characters that you have to pay for, most likely to be either Black Heart, Gambit, Rouge, and Cyclops, or Ruby, megaman x, Son son, Amigo, and Roll TVC. A few new stages, playable story mode (like MK9 with no animated cutscenes, little to no voice acting, motion comic style), Bonus stages and rival matches added into arcade mode. New event/shadow battles and the options to play the game either 3v3 or 1v1. A proper tutorial mode for normal controls and ading more options to the game.
The worse Capcom could do are:
- Announce new costumes for characters and shadow battles....and that's it.
- Announce Super MVC3 and not fixing the major problems, specifically online. They only add in a few new stages and a few new characters. Still no Megaman, but we get Amigo, cable, iceman, and Son son. All the DLC, like costume and shadow battles up to the point of this new game's release is in there. The game retails for $50-60 new. No addition of the "Amazing" story they talked about prior to release.
- Not announcing anything at all and cover everything up with SFxTKN stuff.
Personally, I'm not expecting capcom to actually make any announcements about MVC3 this year. The last pieces of news I heard regarding MVC3 was about how the earthquake affected MVC3 in some way about about the shadow battles. I do wish they'd announce something or release a teaser for MVC3's updates
