Roundup: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 event #43, EVO 2011 schedule

• Event #43 — Power Match 1 was unlocked for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. To complete it: "Finish Arcade mode with your opponent having 1 hit kill Hyper Combos and infinite Hyper Combo gauge (final battle excluded)." Title unlocked: Still Learning. Submitted by ThePuscifer and Xbox Live Junkies Anonymous.

• The Evo 2011 tournament schedule is now online.

Ambiguous cross-under resets for Gouken in SSF4 were posted by Tk421WTF. This includes notes for Arcade Edition as well.

• The Don’t be a Scrub Podcast put up an interview with Gootecks and Mike Ross in audio and text versions, talking about how Cross Counter got started and general stuff they're known for in the community. Mentioned by Burnout.

• 1UpMiles did a Super-Skrull MvC3 combo and reset video which has excellent notation.

• GamerBee briefly chatted with Gootecks about the SF scene in Taiwan and that people are getting tired of the twins. Tip from MrUSAtlas.

Technology from the Dark Dimension, a MvC3 Dormammu combo video, was posted by KenAdamsNSA.

Does that mean when Phoenix transforms, that will kill you since it technically doesn't do damage but stops attacks?

Make the Events offline also since they require playing offline modes.

Wtf are you talking about?

Skrull has always seems pretty good. Its a shame people will give Cap a try but not skrull.

I think skrull and c. viper are in the same boat, both requiring above average precision to be effective. And that can be stressful in itself outside having the stress to deal with when fighting others. Not to mention they both seem to blow thru meter pretty quickly. I would throw dormammu in the same boat too. All very good characters with various tools and high damage capability but not played by alot.

Let me guess, PS3 still won't get the events?
I doubt we'll ever get them at this point.

Yeah, when will PSN fix the event mode?
I hope soon, but I know that's not likely.
It even bothers me that Sven Christianson wasn't aware of the problem until a recent ASK CAPCOM segment.
