What I don't get is that Capcom's Digital Download of AE is listed as 'backordered'. What are they backordering, and from who?

So excited that AE is finally on PC. Already own the game on my Crapbox 360 but have no problem buying it again for PC. The costume packs are at a bargain price too.

Many people disliked E.Ryu's long hair alt., but I think is the best one just ignore the hair and look at the outfit itself, it looks awesome.

Unlike in these pictures, Oni's 2nd alt has a big hole in his torso (similar to Seth's Alt2) with energy flowing past it on the inside, like looking into a water main. It's pretty sweet.

The cracks in his body open and you see the energie flowing inside of him, pretty sweet.

It's going to take ages to download AE from Steam. The new deals will be up within 45 minutes, the servers are going to be shat on.

I would only use Oni personally, so for me, this isnt worth it. Good to see the kits are very quick from the release

i think 3,99 is sweet for 8 costumes, and i play all of the 4 new characters so good stuff, also remember yun's color 10 cook alternative is just the pants with tanktop, looks pretty sweet so it's basically 9 costumes...wonder if yang color 10 is also different

Characters who were in SF4 got up to Alternate 3 costumes.
Characters who were in SSF4 got up to Alternate 2 costumes.
Characters who were in SSF4AE got up to Alternate 1 costumes.

Makes me wonder though that CAPCOM is finished with SF4 series, will they make another set of costumes for the AE characters. My guess unlikely.

Every character, including the four new characters have Alt 1 and Alt 2. Only the Vanilla Roster has alt 3. that's because they were in one additional game.

Maybe you didn't realize that your getting alt 1 and 2 with the new DL.

Naahhhh 3 more days for european relase. I bought it on steam by the way, will I be able to buy the DLCs via steam by characters, or only packs? I mean if I only want to buy for exmple Vega, Oni and Adon skins, do I have to buy 3 DLC PACKS, or can I pay a lower prize only for these 3 characters?

I'm planning to buy all costumes for 15 dollars (oh sorry, euros... I love steam $=euro thing, really), but I'm not sure I'll be able to do that.

Also a notable thing about Oni's Alt2, it is degradable. As the fight goes on, chunks of him are destroyed. Low attacks take out his shins, mid attacks take out his abs and high take out his shoulders and face. He has a void like inside that you can see into. I'd compare this to how Mortal Kombat makes their chars look all beat up after a fight.

i like evil ryu and Oni alt costumes, yun and yang are ok
but europe is free so still no costumes over here

Buying the DLC for 14.99 allows for over 100+ slots to use any costumes you like, I think its a good price.

It's amazing how much effort they put into one frikkin' costume for one character, but they're still letting MvC3 rot in the sun...

....so I finally got it on PC, and its telling me to press start.. I've pressed every damn button on my keyboard, so what exactly does it recognize as "START"?

This game is really ticking me off. My internet works peachy fine with no connectivity issues. I can connect to LIVE just fine on SFIV PC, but not on AE PC. I entered the key code correctly and disabled all firewalls. I'm really ticked, because even if I want to play offline, I CAN'T because the characters I play with are LOCKED.

Way to go on this one CAPCOM! Successful release!!

@Phinycupcakes Apparently you didn't press all of the buttons, because the single largest button on your keyboard is the one that it recognizes as "start"

I'm in UK like you, and no it's not on the STANDARD downloading options...

But load the game up and select xbox live market place from the main menu, you will then be given option of SSFIV or AE DLC, pick the AE option and it's available to download...

hope this helps (if you hadn't already figured this method out by now)

To add to that, Yun and Yang technically have 3 costumes because color 10 on alt 1 is something almost entirely different.

For anyone who still read this, SSF4 AE runs a lot slower than SF4. Actually SSF4 AE is too slow to be enjoyable to run on my laptop.
I got it from steam. Maybe the reason is due to lack of memory (because steam is running). Maybe it is the laptop. But it is slower.

For max speed, I advice:
V-Sync ON
Filtering off
all the rest LOWEST/LEFT MOST settings

Got around 47 fps. You should have more. If you have what I have, then the game is unplayable at this time, unlike in SF4

$15 for a TON of costumes seems a great way to convince anybody who pirated the game to buy it.

This release is an unbelievable disaster. I own the game on PS3, but I was really looking forward to it on the PC.

I have two gaming PC's -- both plenty powerful enough to play the game. One is AMD-based (AMD CPU and card) and one is Intel-Nvidia based. Both exhibit unbelievable problems wiht the game, but both work fine with SFIV vanilla.

To start, I use a Madcatz SFIV controller designed for the XBOX360. SSFIVAE on the PC recognizes the controller just fine, but it will NOT let me change button configurations. And if I try to save a button configuration (even the standard one it won't let me save) the game instantly crashes. This happens on BOTH PCs.

I have logged 600+ hours using this controller. Am I all of the sudden supposed to relearn the button configuration?

Even worse, I CANNOT get the game to play smoothly online. On both of my computers, the benchmark averages over 120FPS, and I get a ranking of A.

Yet, when I play online, it plays BALLS SLOW. I have done about 25 online matches now, and 100% of htem have had severe frame rate issues. I have tried all three settings for framerate, and I have tried v-sync on and v-synch off, same issues. Even wierder, I had one online match that was averaging about 110 FPS. I didn't even know that was possible.

So basically, the game is crashy, it has severe framerate issues online, and it won't let me customize my controller.

Since I already own this on PS3, I may demand a refund. I am PISSED.

When I jump forward, release all buttons, and press HK and MK, I don't even attack. I am sorry. I know Capcom is trying to reduce cheating but the anticheat you have in place makes it difficult to enjoy this game.
