I think his humor does a good job. It keeps a subtle balance with the information he gives. If it's that terrible there is the function of skipping the segments. especially because most of the time when the information is out there, the breaks of humor only last for about 15-20 seconds at a time.
Moreover, I'm FAR over the age of 13 and I see no problem with what Max is doing.
He's giving valuable info,and having fun doing it.

It seems like this Maximilian character has added a female into the mix for similar reasons to that of juicebox's podcast. The acting's poor, can't help but to cringe at it. Regardless of whether or not the information remains in the videos, I think he's trying too hard to seek recognition, drafting away from accomplishing what he initially set out to do here.
By all means if you enjoy it, watch it. But you were going to anyway. And if not you, then the next person. This series is likely to become more known, feeding this fake persona and producing a keener, more annoying script rather than something much more informative (inb4 dull, informative =/= dull)

It's for the fighting game community. Let's look at that again: COMMUNITY. More than one person. Not just himself. Of course he wants views. I only ever said he did the videos this way because he wants to, and that views aren't his only driving motive; he wants to help the community while entertaining the people who find this amusing.

When I search videos on YouTube, I'm not expecting them to be like multi-million dollar budget films, I'm simply looking for something to watch to cure boredom at home for free. It's like when I make food. I'm not expecting to taste like anything from the Food Network. You clearly watch his videos with too high of expectations.
He's not trying to be like every other YouTube star (Can I really say star? The only person who got truly "famous" from YouTube was Justin Bieber). I don't see him using misleading thumbnails or misleading titles. He puts out videos that are both informative and entertaining, and, that have more quality than quantity.
Your initial response to the video came off salty. Did you attempt something similar to this with no success? Did you fail your high school drama class? My list could go on, but that would just be redundant.

@10 - Having Doom there doesn't add to the video in a technical "knowledge" sense, sure. But it gives it quite a bit of character, whether the acting is bad or not.
Personally, for something independently produced for use as a tutorial on Youtube with a budget of maybe a couple hundred dollars, it's rather entertaining.
It's not something that's so common throughout Youtube and definitely not in the FGC videos I normally see online. How many people have actually attempted to add in mini-scripts between points in a tutorial? I'm troubled to find any.

Not true, he did so recently for part of the SSFIV AE video he did, and a few other moments. But even if he didn't that's kinda' the point - the Assist me series is more about these personalities and mixing them with the tutorial so you don't get the same ole' "black bg with wite text" we usually see (nothing wrong with that of course), while the Online Warrior tends to be more about the commentary.
Definitely not everyone's tea I'm sure - my original comment was aimed more at the sentiment that seemed to be "adding a girl to the video for sex appeal? Boooo!!" when I seriously doubt that's the case.

I first found eventhubs back in the early days of Super, and have since checked it feverishly everyday for its updates.
Some people may refer to it as Eventscrubs, and say the SRK is a better site, but I have always preferred Eventhubs, and it is in fact my homepage.
However, comments made on recent postings have just been moronic, and have really taken my enjoyment away from viewing the site, and reading the comments section. It seems that the comments in every update boil down to a few idiots trying to put their own points of view across, and arguing constantly with people who disagree. For those this relates too, ask the other person for their MSN or something, and argue on there. No one gives a shiz about your point of view in stupid arguments, no matter how intellectually you try to put it across. If you disagree with someone that much, then just keep it to yourself, and believe that you are in the right. There is no need to constantly argue about it on here.
It has really put me off wanting to look at eventhubs, but alas, I find myself constantly checking for new updates anyway:p
Anyway, on topic, I don`t really find the girl that hot, and don`t really care for her eating some yogurt. To be fair, I am of the Asian persuasion, but still, she is nothing to get in a tizzle about, whether your are getting over excited or denouncing Maximilian because he is bringing in a female character. What's the comment section for, then? Isn't it for people to express a point of view—as you have done in your own comment? Is it for you to determine what should be done with the site's comment option, or is it for the site owner to determine? I ask because I'm pretty sure he'd have set it up differently if he wanted people to use it in a notably different way than they have been.

I do not play on simple mode. I'm just not good at that game, everyone seems to always get a leg up on me in it. Still like it though, but SSFIV is my main cup of joe.
As for the latter two games you mentioned. I played and beat both numerous times and on varying difficulties, but I'm older now, and have found greater purpose in gaming by being part of the fighting game community as much as I can.
