• Capcom's Wes Phillips stated that the MvC3 strategy guide by Brady Games may be the best one he's ever seen. He also mentioned it's 400 pages, although Amazon has it listed at 352, which isn't too far off.
• Thousand Pounds did some real life Ultra moves, styled like Street Fighter, and posted it on YouTube. Sent in by GoogleMyName and ActRmx.
• Martin "Marn" Phan said on Twitter today that he asked to be released from his contract with Evil Geniuses, and his request was granted. Tip also sent in by Virtua_Kazama.
• Siliconera noted that old school Capcom fighters, Darkstalkers 3, Star Gladiator and Cyberbots would all be released on the Japanese PlayStation Network. No word if these releases will be available else where. Last week, Christian Svensson said that Gem Fighter would be hitting the PSN in the future.
Gladiator and Cyberbots would all be released on the Japanese PlayStation Network...
Hmmmm......
It's like all of a sudden huh.....
Hayato and Jin, I can almot smell it :D

If you guys haven't seen it those Thousand pound guys are pretty sick
Ruffles: What's going on here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDkHH2... is negative edge. He's letting up off of Medium Punch from the Focus Attack Dash Cancel and it's executing a Shoryuken/Super, it's not the kick buttons performing the move.
Maybe I'm wrong but here's what the Marn situation could be.
EG is a company that manages a team of pro gamers. Because of this there are rules, one of which is probably "no gambling". Meanwhile in Mahvelville, money matches are praised and raise the hype level. So here's Marn, not quite getting it done in SSF4 as frequently as one would like, but smoking people in MvC3. Now he has the opportunity to not only shine in Marvel, but clean-up quite frequently in money matches.
Again this is just a theory. Even if it was true I can't hate on Marn for that. Get that paper.
Marn was probably booted out for being rubbish (relatively speaking); he never does anything in big tournaments. Less embarrassment for him if he 'asks' to be released (i.e. EG probably agreed to him giving that account rather than saying they fired him).
@17 j Wong hasn't done well either as of late also history from eg shows that other groups sponsored didn't always win big tourneys and werent asked to leave I believe it leans more to the comment above on MM especially in marvel that's were all the hype is from and if any one is curious ever since those three joined eg not one MM.
Forgot Cat the mentioned that he will be interviewed by either ipw or srk can't remember ATM.
3rd Thousand Pounds should be given to someone. Possibly Dee Jay.

Really? How many other SF players have won major tournaments recently? It's a short list of about two or three people. I hate to say it but watching SSF4 tournaments is like watching the AFC in NFL. Same people win all the time.
I know tournament organizers won't do it, but MvC3 really needs to be pushed to the front of the class. I know SF as a brand name is more iconic, but the only time the hype of a SF match reaches MvC status is at Evo. Meanwhile crowds go nuts for a MvC2 money match whenever one gets advertised. Its over a decade later and the hype is still there for that game, so why not try MvC3?
The same people don't win all the time, just watch more tournaments from different places and you'll see it's more than just Ricky and Daigo winning, it's FC, Gamerbee, Justin Wong and many others winning - it's not the same two people or anything like your AFC analogy. Besides Top 8 means something nowawdays.
And then there are the online tournaments such as this past Sunday's EVO PS3 tourney where Jewelman beat Mike Ross. It's good stuff, although I can understand why you want to hype up MvC3 cuz that game will be amazing and great for tournaments.
first, no news from my submit news tip?
