The PlayStation Network EVO Online Super Street Fighter 4 tournament kicked off this afternoon. Notable players included Mike Ross, MarlinPie and Hugo101.

As a PSN user I can't see the point of online tournaments in general. Lag happens no matter the game or platform if you live in the US. Offline is my real unleashing of Bull****ryu and showcase of Profound Badness. No links dropped and safe jumps work as they should.

There are many people who play games, some stay at home, some go on the road. This isnt back in the good old 90s when you could go to a arcade and the arcade would be bumpin...nowadays alot of people stay at home for whatever reason, weather it be personal or financial.

Online tourneys are just a way to get more people involved, will a online tourney ever be as popular as a live tournament, probably not, but the fact of the matter is that it helps expand the community and get more people involved, thats the point in the end.

The difference between PSN and 360 on an average connection of 15-20 ms Ping, on top of the system ping is litterally 1-3 MILLISECONDS in favor of 360. In conclusion, there is literally no negligible difference between the two online, and there will always be a more enjoyable experience on LAN for the 360 period. Online is online is online.

Online is good for expansion. Yeah, it does suck we don't have Japan's net. But these are hard times, people can't always afford to gather (that's for special occasions). Hell, I can't even afford to go to arcades (not that one's around me anyway).

jewelman does not use turbo. I should know. I played i couple of casual matches againist him. And his execution is near flawless. I could not beat him once when he was honda.
