Capcom has issued a number of copyright warnings to YouTube members that had videos uploaded of Evil Ryu and Oni in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, and as of the time of this story, most of them are displaying copyright messages and cannot be viewed. 
He also tweeted that AE DLC for consoles will be delayed now as a direct punishment for this leak.
The more I hear about AE, the more disappointed I get about SF.
Just wanted to jump in and say that as far as J.R. Rodriguez's YouTube was concerned, from what I saw, it was shut down because he had multiple videos of Oni and Evil Ryu. He wasn't singled out to have his account removed.
It appears if you have X number of videos flagged for copyright problems, YouTube automatically suspends your account. I'm assuming he should be able to get his account going again, sans Oni/Evil Ryu videos, if he contacts YouTube support.
just make Ono CEO of the company so the SF series takes priority over everything.
@masterbkke ypu must be joking? Ono has been a pain in the ass, sure he is the producer but he has been letting us on with false info and teases for the past 2 years. His popularity among die-hard fans went from 100 to 10 or even 0 in the past few months cause of it. Plus if Ono was CEO Capcom would be dishing out Darkstalkers left, right and center, even in Street Fighter games lol. @halo actually I am one of those that actually enjoy his teasing and find speculating part of the fun. Yeah he maybe be viewed as "childish" by some, I view him as having a sense of humor and it's a very valuable asset to have when involved in the gaming industry. What I want is someone who has passion for SF (and gaming in general) to make the important decisions in Capcom. The last thing I want is to wait another decade for a new SF.

I hate to say this & I know he did alot for SF & the community & I do respect him but I'm thankful something like this finally happened to Ono. Just like someone above me said, this dude has been leading us on & trolling the hell out of us for the past year. I still say we should've trolled the hell outta his twitter with pics of Oni's toenail or something just to piss him off like he does us. I know he does it for marketing strategy & whatnot but holy hell he takes it to another level, when he's showing us a random picture that we can't even make out & someone asks him a legitimate question concerning it he just goes ":D". Anywho, my question is that if Capcom really didn't want Oni & Evil Ryu to be touched at all then why are they balanced & playable in AE in the first place? They obviously were meant to be played at some point with AE. If not then they should have been completely locked like Akuma/Gouken/Seth in SF4 arcade.

Agree Ono deserved it also it wouldn't have been a problem if these characters were never rehashed for sf4 there I said it never underestimate the power of PO and curious fans they will find a way to fight back. I'm all for speculation but it is best being done by Niitsuma w/MvC3, (aside from the whole leaked list thing but that's not their fault) the hype for that game is up and running but they're not doing what Ono does & posts a blurry snapshot of someone's ear & puts smileys. He might as well just upload trollface.jpg while he's at it.

I know insiders at China Town fair, they hooked a laptop via internal data ports and bypassed the passcode option to release oni and evil. Other arcades have done it too, was pretty easy from what I heard, that's why Arcade Infinity got em too. Novice level 'hacking' if that's what you want to call it

uhm the whole capcom copyright notice sounds kinda fishy, i wish somebody would enlighten us with some real wisdom about copyright. like, i know that it's capcom's stuff, but it's not like the code was given away on the net or pirate software distributed or something, this is just some guys videotaping a game at the arcades, if that's illegal then every gameplay video or stream should be removed from the internet.

i know they're not crazy about the reveal, but they should maybe go after the arcade owners or whoever broke the embargo on the codes, after all people are still putting quarters in those machines and selecting characters that are there.

99% of the copyright claims on videos outside of music videos are false on youtube. People just do it to troll, and since youtube would rather just block a video than make sure the claim is valid they just block the video and put a strike against your account.
If you get three strikes your account is banned. Capcom cannot ban anyones youtube by claiming copyright on videos. It takes multiple times and multiple copyright claims.
Honestly these copyright claims most likely didn't come from Capcom, JR should dispute the claims and he'll get his account back within a week or two.
The problem was that Capcom never announced Oni and Evil Ryu would be playable. All they had was a video teaser before. People assumed they'll be playable, and now it's leaked being playable. All the rights still belong to Capcom.

Joke aside, I kind of feel bad about all that, the hype is there when you see a trailer of the new characters for the FIRST time. Now we just discovered the new characters through crappy videos recorded from a phone, not as hype as a real trailer. I hope CAPCOM will still release the trailers for Akuma and Ryu.

We don't know the agreement between Capcom and the Companies that bought the arcade machines. However, what we do know is that Yun and Yang weren't the only characters to be revealed and they were at least 4 more. Additionally, from the trailer we know those characters existed...If I were Capcom I would let it be because these leaked characters did stimulated the arcades and give SSFIV a new look. They made Yun and Yang unimpressive in comparison and also shade some light in terms of additional characters.
I don't agree in shutting down youtube accounts because it is not the users fault and they can't undo what has been seen. I know those characters exist, we see what they moves were, so it is done.

things had been leaked out. What if they were only boss characters? You can't take your all your assumptions for reality. Another thing, if your hard work has been leaked, without you announcing it, you be utterly pissed too.

If you ask me, this is the best possible way they could have been revealed. Had Capcom shown some trailer, we'd have a month and a half of clone-this clone-that bitching. This way, we get immediate impressions and fewer complaints because people now see these characters are legit.

Getting peoples accounts banned and trying to cover it up is a bit of a d-bag move in my opinion, since all of this is free publicity for the game and (so far) a positive response from the community. I mean, this almost makes up for all the trolling that Ono has pulled on us via twitter over the past year, and if he gets in deep isht for these character being leaked, it serves him right.

To me, Capcom's shooting themselves in the foot with the release of AE. A large part of the community can't even play it since arcades are almost non-existant in most places. Maybe we'd be more hype for it if we didn't JUST GET an upgrade to SFIV NINE months ago, especially with meh characters like Evil Ryu & Yun.
It's gonna be tough for them to sell the 4th iteration of a 3-year-old game, especially when the wait is so long & many will switch over to MVC3 & even MK9. I can't believe I fell for it when they said that Super would be the last SFIV. This IS Capcom after all. The same Capcom that released EIGHT versions of SFII.
It's so lame to shut down YouTube accounts. Seriously, it's the age of the internet. If ONE sees something, we'll ALL see it in no time at all.

Say what you will about AE, but trying to argue that SSF4 is somehow not the last iteration is just fan bitterness. In the end, all this arguing is about downloadable add-ons. There's just no comparison between DLC and buying another retail game.

Wow that kinda sucks. I was wondering why the characters showed up out the blue. I played as both Oni and Evil Ryu at Arcade Infinity yesterday and I must say I'm loving both characters. Oni is a great Hybrid of Gouken and the typical shoto.
Now with this news I'm not sure if I should upload the matches I filmed to youtube or not. I think I will anyway since the live stream I filmed was already recorded on justin.tv (http://justin.tv/kapwan/b/278145663).
Well now that those YouTubers are probably pissed, I guarantee a rise in streams. Also, people will try their hardest to unlock the last two characters in order to piss Capcom off in return.

From the looks of it, this is probably all the new characters in AE. Capcom didn't confirm any more new characters before the edition was released. What's in the game is what we are getting. Also if hackers got these two characters to release prematurely, I'm sure they would have released the rumored "two" remaining characters at the same time. It's stupid and impractical to tease yourself (especially when you're a die hard SF fan) if you know there are more characters than Oni and E Ryu. People are who are fans will want to see EVERYTHING all at once. Not wait every three months or so to find something new.

I don't think Ono "revived the fighting game scene." It's always been here. people were plenty happy with 3rd Strike and MvC2 ect. Don't forget SNK's KOF series and Blazblue. It's not like SF4 came out and all of a sudden everyone said "Oh lets make fighting games now because Street Fighter is back." nah, you also forgot Tekken and Soul Calibur at the time.
You give that man way too much credit and while I don't wish ill of Ono I do hope he learned his lessons about the art of promoting and not to jerk the fans around more than he has to. Regardless of his job to promote, you have to becareful how you do it especially when fans have certain expectations of you.

I actually played this at AI and ill tell you its pretty badass, if you play a pro akuma and know some ryu then evil ryu ftw if you like ryu mixed with gouken and some weird dash in the air(which is godlike) go with oni. I love ryu dont get me wrong but oni is the way to go! Only because I always sucked at playing akuma :p Im glad this came out early it will push capcom to release this stuff earlier then expected. I mean come on, Japan is the place to get everything first now its the other way around Japan is the last to get this cause they actually have this on lockdown. I heard it was hacked in china and then the code was distributed. Super Arcade just got oni and evil ryu this morning so time to get some practice in! =] As for videos being taken down they dont have that right since we are in America. These two character reveals and subsequent "unreveal" just made AE a whole lot more HYPED! Everyone is complaining about how long it is taking for new content to arrive. Are the obligated to always give you new content for a game... Not really. It was nice enough they were even thinking about giving new characters for this game in the first place. I do not really care how they got unlocked before release date but since they do have gameplay before release.. and it is their game and content... They have every right to take down and/or sue anyone who goes against their wishes of displaying it... I know there are tons of loopholes around the issue but I mean it is a little sad how impatient most people are just for character reveals. You know they are coming and possibly a couple more will too. Lets just sit back and wait... It wont kill you... That is unless you have some sort of condition where anxiety will kill you... O_O;

You are a consumer and you are entitled to the product. But nowhere on the box does it say you are entitled to objective and only factual information from Ono's twitter account. If you are such a proud consumer then judge the actual product and not things you think you are entitled to.
Secondly Niitsuma stated himself that he started working on MVC 3 in the summer of 2008. Exactly when SF4 came out. It's safe to say the years of lobbying by Ono and subsequent hype for vanilla SF4 were pivotal in the approval of MVC 3.
Oh and sure there was a 2D fighting game scene alive, but just look at the increase in people at EVO with SF4 as the main attraction.

haha it's probably a crime in Japan to unlock or reveal something before the parent company authorized it. That's why Japan hasn't come out with any interviews from pros or vids regarding Oni and E Ryu. I wonder if any of the pros (like Daigo or Tokido) would travel the U.S. just to try out Oni and E Ryu haha? I'm sure they know by now and anxious to try them out.

You build up the hype for something, reveal it after a certain amount of time, and due to that hype you get more people interested and thus you get more income. It's called business.

They could throw in Urien to tie the story of SFIII with SFII & disconfirmed Evil Ryu & Oni from SSFIV: AE as they planned to be included in Tekken x Street Fighter along with Jinpachi & Devil Jin.
I for one was disappointed when they were hinted at, and now watching them in action has only continued that. Their ultra's are nice to look at, but other than that they don't do much for the roster in terms of depth, they aren't really interesting choices, nor are they something I for see being a smash hit amongst the community,I see it being that only to those that enjoy that evil shoto flavor. But hey, I have yet to fully enjoy SF4 roster. only the here and there's of it.

Ono can do what he likes as far as I'm concerned. As I understand it he's the guy who lobbied for SF4 and got it made. And it's a game loved by many including me.
It can't be denied what SF4 has done for the fighting scene.
So for that Ono has my upmost respect. Some people have short memories.
His trolling is just part of the PR campaign to keep us all talking. Just ignore it and play the game as it's available to you.
Capcom can't win! They created the Street Fighter series and for that I'm very thankful. They can't please everyone.
