still can't believe how much money was on the line :/
Good to hear Justin Wong behind the commentary mike, as we rarely do.
@1, I was rooting for clock too man, but that's why they did a ft15. Neo won fairly and clock should have protected his assists better.. These matches were so hype, I hope mvc3 manages even half the hype of mvc2. So many beautiful matches it was incredible. Here's to mvc3.
this is boring i always hate how just arround the same 6 or 8 characters are used on top fights and their just playing cheep.... that could be probably the only thing i could hate about this beloved game.... but i allways have my rouge ironman bbhood team to show them how to behave... please MVC3 end with this kr@p
Neo had little time to prepare for this match, and he adapted fast. Props to him for winning.
$15,000 is a lot but the $24,000 on the line for the Sanford vs. West Coast was a bit more ridiculous.
Clock definitely should have won but Neo has done well the past few years and he deserved it as much as Clock did.
An amazing set nonetheless.
If any of you think this is boring, you obviously know absolutely nothing about the game. I love Justin Wongs emotion during commentary, so good.
Seems Neo was getting coached. Wasn't that against the rules? I would consider that a win by default to Clock.
yeah Cobra, he was. And it was, but Clockw0rk didn't call it out. BS
How the frick do you get an hour and a half on youtube?
Or is there no limit anymore?
I think if your channel is sponsored or something like that you can exceed the limit
The problem with Clock's Strider was basicaly useless when he has no super bar to activate his orbs. Unfortunately on multiple occasions, Clock would start with Strider, right away he calls Doom's rocks, activate his orbs. By the time Clock finishes his rush down, he doesn't build enough bar to reactivate his orbs to keep the rush down / chip damage on. When that happens, Neo tech guards Clock and the rush down stops. By then, one air combo into super from Storm then super cancels with Sentinel kills Strider. That basically decided the match...several times unfortunately for Clock. Anyway great match though. I never care for MvC2 since it got so repetitive with Magneto infinites, etc but this was awesome. No Magneto or Pyslocke haha.
Epic match! If I had $$ to blow why not double my chances!
Meh, clockwork was the better player, coaching is BS.
Strider needed to be in mvc3, bronx cheer for akuma
/end
@19
If you are in good line with Youtube then you don't have a limit. basically don't upload copyright stuff and whatnot. I got this message to my account after uploading one of my recent piano videos and i was glad that I can actually post long stuff like short films now.
Damn! that was freaking hype. Clockwork is my hero just the fact that he mains Strider makes him awesome and he is a badass mother f*cker with him, it was epic when he killed Captain Commando with the Teleport Kick Assist, that sh!t was even in slow motion.
Like the commentator said at one point "Why is this guy not on MVC3, Capcom?"
wow strider, where were u in the other thread where i said that? I wonder how many people create new accounts just for times like this
neo made cyclops look bad but still great matches. i didn't realize how fast an hour and a half would be.
Awesome but so fu cking disappointed. Missing those lk and dhc made me hate the way neo plays. On the other hand, using a low low tier toon, mad probe to clockworks.
Rematch 2012!!!
This is a great way to end 10 years of MvC2. Now bring on MvC3.
Great money match. I was on the edge of my seat watching this. Neo's runaway game made me cringe especially when he had Cyclops to help him rush down. Both player's dealing with the pressure of the crowd as well lol at the acid. I love the MvC series as whole.
PS Capcom stop playing around and put Strider in MvC3 for the fans.
Lol funny how through out the video they kept saying no coaching multiple times, and neo spent a good deal of time trying to use a counter pick team that he apparently didnt know how to use right. Doesnt help clockwork seemed to mess up his opener alot and letting his strider out right die too often. Figure with this much money on the line they would have worked off the rust >_<. All n all good matches NO MAGNETO,CABLE, PSYLOCKE, so it was a bit refreshing from the usual mirror matches.
These commentators are a little too excited... great match but jeez... youd think they just won the 15k!
Anyone know which version was played? Arcade, or ps3 reboot?
@#49
I believe it was dreamcast, due to custom sound track and colors and the screen size ratio. Also the menu screen is ensures it one of the consoles ports, so i vote dreamcast wouldnt know how the ps2 version would have the custom music or colors.
@#51
Yea i looked it up, just requires a different process between dreamcast to ps2/xbox. I knew you use bootlegs on ps2 just never bother trying to change music on it, doing it on the dreamcast was simple for modded games.
Exp cuts it, just when it's top tier+coaching+counter pciks it's too much to overcome. Really it would have been better if magneto storm and sentinel had abit of a soft ban where you could only ahve one on your team at a time, then a huge selection of characters would be tourny viable
Too late though, lets just hope capcom didnt continue the nightmare, storm is the worst particularly i think.
Matches 2, 3, and 4 were probably my favorites. Nothing like an epic come back in the last second or down to the last player. Strider should be in MvC3, although he'll probably be a DLC if anything at all this late into development. This match should've happen months ago, maybe change Capcom's mind on Strider.
Eh fcking bullsht, Clock deserved that win. I know you hear this excuse all the time but clock in his prime is better then Neo, just sad that this had to be the last experience Clockw0rk had with MvC2
