A couple of scans of the United Kingdom magazine Games TM were uploaded to the interwebs this morning, and in the review it claims that the final roster for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has 36 characters — not including the DLC fighters.

Without counting Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath since they're DLC characters, it would mean there are two more fighters to be revealed, since Akuma and Taskermaster's were recently announced.

To further back this up, EuroGamer wrote that, "Two more characters are to be revealed."

If the most popular rumor list holds up again, Hsien-Ko (Lei Lei) and Sentinel will be the last two people announced.

GamesTM is a great magazine with trustworthy reviews. They are huge fighting game fans too, so they know what they are talking about. For reference, I think gave SFIV and SSFIV 9/10.

Not old... new. People are thinking it's old because in the upper left hand corner on the second page it's pointing to an OLD -preview- of the game, but if you check the page numbers they don't match up. The preview was on page 32 back in November, and this review is on pages 110 and 111. New.

This is not old. It is a REVIEW (see top of page 1), and the game got 8/10 (bottom of page 2).

Anyone else think it's a little lame that one of the final revealed characters is going to be a random Darkstalkers chick? Nothing against Lei-Lei but she's not...epic. The last set of announced characters should be "OMG SERIOUSLY! YES!" Sentinel is epic, provided he's the other character but she is most definitely not.

Another magazine review, another reviewer who doesn't how to review a fighting game. I would like to see one single reviewer who really truly knows what he/she is talking about. But to be fair I've seen worse than this.

On the rumor list, it was said they ruled out Megaman early due to him not being unique (something like that) and Arthur was the alternative.

People seem to think that this leak is nothing more than a character list. The leak had specific details about stages, how the characters worked and looked, and other details that have ALSO been dead-on. It's one thing to put out a "leaked" roster list and happen to get some right. Lupinko has predicted the roster and additional details that can in no way be a happy coincidence. Stop hanging onto false hope, people, and just look at the damn facts.

Duh... there might be a reveal of 36 characters, but still characters will reach past the 40 mark. Lots of people forget that we are going to have some DLC characters after release, so it's still not over yet. Capcom said, "Capcom has stated that they plan to expand the roster by the time the game is released, and are "working hard to include as many characters as possible".
Capcom will be working on more characters for DLC so, the leak might have 38 characters right, but he doesn't know the rest.

Frank was finished but taken out due to technical complications when he was tested online. Perhaps they can fix him and throw him in as DLC, hopefully along with Human Torch.

Bah, so far unfortuantly I have to say that i hope and pray for DLC Characters.

Im not saying that the game wont get bought cause it will with ease, but what I am saying is that they need more characters, period. At least 50, there are so many characters that people want to see, they have to at least give a good 10 for DLC...

Personally im a bit offended by Akuma being in the game. IMO there didnt seem to be any clones at all untill Akuma came in, they seriously could have done something with that slot. I LOVE AKUMA , Ijust feel that they had 50billion other choices besides him.

I feel like Tatsunoko Vs Capcom had better span of characters from other games. Batsu from Rival schools,Soki from Onimusha,Frank West from Dead Rising, that thing from Lost Planet, and even ALex from the SF3 series.

Am I the only one what wants Samanosuke from Onimusha to be in MVC3? I also thought Batsu, someone else from SF3 like Ibuki, and Megaman X(i kno i kno he's decomfirmed...) was gonna be in MVC3.

Sucks there's only gonna be 2 more slots left...DLC charaters on demand FTW I guess... but thats extra $$

Well, all I know is that I'm gonna be pissed if Mega Man isn't in. Mega Man and Sentinel work better as rivals since they're both Robots. Hell, even Dormammu and Viewtiful Joe have a better connection (They're both more powerful in a different dimension 'Dark Dimension' and 'Movieland') than two girls making a Chinese Vampire and a mutant hunting robot.

I look forward to Hsien-Ko, don't get me wrong. But why f*g Sentinel? Why would they include a robot with a lack of a personality? Every character has distinct personalities, why pick him? I'd rather have Cable then Sentinel, in regards to lesser of two evils. Plus, having Cable having a voice would be awesome, since meeting up with Phoenix would be pretty interesting "Don't make me have to put you down, Mom..."

Keep in mind too guys. Two DLC slots are accounted for out of the 6 slots on the newest build so we'll see at least 4 more people plus whatever colors/costumes/themes/stages they have lined up.

Im going to keep hope alive for at least 42 characters.... with the current character select screen you could fit a full row of 6 characters at the top and bottom... or 38 minimum if they left the corners open for future DLC characters... It took SFIV two years to get its roster to where it's now. But we are getting 36 characters on launch.

@86 Man no matter how I try to respond to this, it's like writting a book, I literally put what I "was" gonna say and made it into a Two page essay just now.

I guess my feelings about peoples responses to this is heavy. I am upset but also I am passionate about the debate probably because I am Hype and can't wait for the game.

You can't please everyone, even when it comes to "fan service" I think capcom tried, they tried their hardest and I do question some of their decisions like no Megaman X or even Strider, but it is what it is.

As for SSFIV and Ono, Street Fighter is a property of Capcom who has the ability to use any and every character in their franchise, there is no limit or legal battles Ono has to go through, the only issue is just finances and I think thats understandable but it's not fair to compare that to the Marvel license which is was a legal nightmare.

I guess at this point people are gonna be mad no matter what happens and gonna feel they have to voice their cold hearted opinions and kill everyones Hype like the trolls theya re. I "was" mad but now im not so much, im happy for the game and I can't wait for it, I just want it to come out now so I can play it. School has me stressed and I need a new game to chill with between studies. I think im gonna stop putting so much energy in these threads. These arguments are not winnable anyways, I just want to give my 2cents about a game from now on and thats it.

@ 89 i dont think its the quantity brah its the quality. fans think if there character is not in the game than the quality of game sucks. you can throw in 20 other marval charcters, dat i dont even no, and fans will still think it sucks me included. i think thoe we all should stop looking at this as a sequel to mvc2 and more like SF3. where all your characters were pretty much there just with a New Generation

Super intelligent mix of to previous Xmen villains in a normal humanoid type frame however I'd like to see War-machine again so we can have at least a reunion of all the Marvel Side heroes from MVC1

Now I don't want to see Hsien-Ko for mutliple reasons
1.I won't play her seriously unless I put down a random select I won't and even if I get her I'll most likely just let her die
2. I hate rumor list because they spoil the f***ing anticipation and ruin the f***ING SURPRISE!
3.Seriously why her over the 100's of other capcom character includiing STRIDER, JIN,Captain Commando or even The blue bomber (who were in the pervious 2 MVCs)

But still, ONLY akuma and taskmaster has to be unlocked? thats pretty stupid, they should have more be unlockable, even if Sentinel and Hsien-ko is unlockable too thats till too small.
Hopefully there will be ALLOT of DLC or more unlockable characters, but Im fine with whatever happens

Hi, for all you doubters it was me that scanned these pages, the review is from the latest issue I received in the post yesterday. I get the mag on subscription so often get it up to a week early. The cover of this issue features Pokemon black and white and is (rather funkily) designed to look like a Japanese magazine. The comment in the corner of the review tells you when the game was LAST PREVIEWED, which refers to the big preview / interview a few months ago.

Hope that helps you accept the truth!
