Also for the people who don't know jack about Taskmaster, he doesn't "steal" powers, he copies and mimics them.
Official description:
"Taskmaster possesses photographic reflexes, which enables him to watch another person’s physical movements and duplicate them without practice, no matter how complex. This ability is only limited by the fact that he does not possess superhuman strength or other superhuman attributes.

It's kinda sad Lupinko ruined the mystery of this game ;). The saddest part is knowing a "character" as lame as Sentinel is on his way just because casuals love robots, and the h-core croud are lemmings afraid of change. I thought this was supposed to be more plot driven then most fighters :(? Midget-sentinel doesn't even have a personality...

Yes I know who those all are, as I am a big Marvel fan. But "casuals" are a lot more than just those who read Marvel. If that were the case Street Fighter 4 wouldn't have any casual players because there's no Marvel in Street Fighter ;).

Hey, i think i'm wrong but. If you see first video you can see Akuma hyper's look like a Messatsu Gou-Hadou amiable (who also works in the air), but in the second video, if look more like Tenma Gou Zankuu (he do it in the right side of the screen). I'm wrong, or akuma have both hypers like always?
And also, i don't understand why people still are mad because they favorite characters are not in the game. C'mon dudes....I have 17 years reading comics and i'm not mad about the roster. Yeah, if true Marvel/Capcom keep away too many good options, but hey, i'm more happy for playing this sequel game into a tournament level than about the roster. For real marve fans are more important the awful decisions of Joe Quesada than this.

And with this reveal, i officially walk away from MvC3. character line up has been nothing but disappointment after disappointment. Sure they brought back my favorite, Spider-man, but many of the new characters are just so.... boring. She-hulk takes the title there though. Enjoy TvC2 folks

I know what you mean. I'll be honest, I used to be one of those (Bison) but then I learned to get over it. I mean... There are more than enough cast members that they'll be able to like.

Question. Is Hawkeye part of DLC? Taskmaster says (I believe), "Aim of Hawkeye" whenever he does his projectile. So far it would seem that he uses moves of people that are already in the game - except Hawkeye....
Anyone has any idea?

I know people are getting tired of people complaining for whatever character. But I think that Megaman not being in is just a stupid move on capcom's part. Why would a character as popular as Megaman not get in? darkstalkers has 2 (soon to be 3 maybe) reps, while Street Fighter has 4. Only two reps for the megaman series, none of which is the main man himself? It doesnt ease the sting either as clone characters like akuma get in. Seriously Capcom. That's like a big "F*ck you" to all the fans.

Believe or not... Your opinion on him doesn't make it true. In fact a lot of people enjoy Ryu and will enjoy him.
He is the staple character of Street Fighter to use some common sense. He is the poster boy of the series so he will be in EVERY crossover fighting game that will ever exist. If you can't understand that then you probably aren't a very bright individual. Same thing with poster #51.

Well no duh I'm not going to use him, but the other 90% of the population is. The amount of scrubs who spam shoryuken everytime on wake up, use an ultra right before they get knocked out, go Jump>hard kick>sweep, or try to turtle jumping back and back with hadouken make playing him so annoying.
It's not that I have trouble, it's that the person is so easy and predictable it's not fun. It's the same idea as a dog nipping at your ankle; It doesn't hurt but it gets irritating fast.

He is Capcoms most historical fighting game character and that is a FACT. Now you are more than entitled to your opinion to think he is boring, I myself have never been fond of Ryu either. But that does not deny the fact he is amazingly historical and might be the most historical fighting game character ever.

@ 72Ryu holds much more significance than Commando due to the fact this is a FIGHTING game. I agree that Commando probably should be in due to the significance In Capcoms history. He could be a future DLC character. But this is a fighting game and Ryu is the face of the fighting genre.

alot of mentioning of iconic characters, yet megaman is like the most iconic character made from capcom. Many spin off series and is still relevant to this day, yet he hasnt showed his mega buster spamming.. tiny hitbox having ass in this game yet. Megaman is like the mario of capcom.

@80 Yes... I almost gurantee they are saving him for DLC. They need really popular characters for DLC so people will buy them. I would hope so man, Megaman was also a contender in that onimusha fighter and believe he had his own awkward fighter with him and bass in the arcades.
My only beef with megaman tho is what WILL they do with him if they do release him as dlc or whatever, In TvC all he had really was weapon changes as special moves which i found to be bland along with generic supers.
And in the mvc and mvc2 had a limited moveset but had odd tools that no one else could do(leaf shield and the soccer ball and a chargable normal)
After seeing what taskmaster is supposed to represent(mimicking others) That was one of megamans main thing is to mimic others powers which was never implemented. Rogue in xvsf was able to copy a single move from others. Also seeing the huge variety of dantes moves i wonder why megaman never had a fraction of that given the long history he has that they could add.
TLDR: All im really saying if they gonna bother to add megaman down the line ....give the dude some justice or just dont add him.

Akuma really does seem to make Ryu so redundant. The only major difference Ryu has is the Super Tatsu Hyper Combo but Akuma's Hypers look so much better...

Look everybody who wants ken masters needs to just relax he is in the game but since capcom did not invite him he joined the marvel side of things wearing a funky suit and Halloween mask and donning the name of task masters or as it has been known taskmaster for short. Seriously though everyone needs to chill cus this game is going to be epic

Akuma may be a clone, but I guess he suits the rush down types, while ryu is the slower damage type. Ken wouldn't have offered as much variety as Akuma in terms of gameplay. I just wish they gave akuma his unique super from either 3rd strike (his win ... again) or CvS.

You are on the contrary a very bright person really.
Because I said that my opinion would make it a fact and I also said "nobody enjoys playing him" And I also said "He is not the staple character of the series" :) So when you reply "Believe or not... Your opinion on him doesn't make it true. In fact a lot of people enjoy Ryu and will enjoy him.
He is the staple character of Street Fighter to use some common sense. " that makes you very bright as your reply has nothing to do with what I have said.
What I said was he has no character. He is not interesting. Vega is very interesting, Bison is very interesting, Cody is interesting, Ibuki is interesting. But Ryu is a simple fighter "good" boy. And what I wondered was how can such a boring character became so populer in the first hand.
Anyway I dont expect an answer as it is not a real question, it is only a complain to his popularity.
And yes I never did and never will use Ryu, I would sleep in the second round. And I play the game only for Vega.

Also on a side note I sorta kinda guessed Pheonix would be in before there was a list. Well I did'nt guess but I questioned the possiblity of her being in it. When Niitsuma was on the streams during Comic-Con the folks asked him the question is Jean Grey in there, and he answerd no. I thought it might have been a ruse to hide the fact that Pheonix was in even though Jean is Pheonix. When the list showed up, I was pretty happy about my deduction.

@123 how is Cody interesting? Because he is bored all the time? Because he is in jail now? Because he doesn't fight to stop evil anymore? If anything Cody is 20 times more boring than Ryu now.
Just because someone is in handcuffs and in jail doesn't make them "cool and interesting"
