Fans may be seeing a new set of character announcements next week for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. AndriaSang has translated the latest developer blog post, and their take on it was:
[...] The official blog says that the next "XXX" will be announced next week. "XXX" is just enough characters for the Japanese short form of "character," so perhaps there's some big news to look forward to. The blog also says that this month will see "full volume" on character reveals, so it would make sense for things to get started next week.
Bringing up a little history here, Capcom V.P., Christian Svensson had previously said that there wouldn't be a flood of new character reveals but instead, "It'll be a slow, deliberate trickle... all the way through launch."
Also, the title's producer, Ryota Niitsuma, told fans there would be at least two new characters announced every month up until release.
my money's on akuma. since he's already leaked capcom are perhaps thinking my as well reveal him officially. perhaps taskmaster too since he was leaked in a art work screen shot. theres also the possibility of sentinel and hsien ko being next the characters revealed next, since they may be wanting to reveal the "secret" characters last.
Unless it involves, Taskmaster, Hsien-ko, Mega Man or Frank West, this'll probably be a rare case of me not being interested.
I really hope they surprise us and announce somebody that wasn't even close to being on the leaked list, somebody like The Mandarin, each of his rings would represent a different moveset.
But a guy that was on the leaked list that needs to be in is definitely Bison.

This! The Mandarin is one of my favorite marvel villans. Event though i still want green goblin more I think The Mandarin would be just as cool. Also I'm kinda of looking foward to seeing if they do any thing special with akuma or sentinal. Also about the crazy character that seth was talking aboutm the general consenus is that it was phenoix right? That's kind of dissapointing, I would have prefered Mystero for playstyle
of crazyness.
I don't know if anyone noticed but they changed the character icon on this thread. It's not Guy anymore.
Well, there's already 34 characters being confirmed so far, but if there announcing two characters each week:
The week of January 16th to January 22nd - 36 characters.
The week of January 23rd to January 29th - 38 characters.
The week of January 30th to February 5th - 40 characters.
Plus if there's two more, then from February 6th to February 12th - 42 characters.
That will kind of make sense.
I bet Akuma's supposedly a Secret Character, with this super hard unlock game play needed. Probably will require HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS of game play time in each. And every. Mode. That, or get a perfect on him on Hardest difficulty, or there is a cheat in the character select screen like in Children of the Atom.
My money is on Nimrod and a form of Mega Man.
@21 While I won't argue with the idea of Mandarin being playable, don't we have enough Marvel villains as it is? We've already got Dr. Doom, Super-Skrull, Dormammu, Magneto, MODOK, Shuma-Gorath and if the leak is to be believed, Sentinel and Taskmaster. If we really need another villain, it should be Venom. Although he's technically more of an anti-hero.
Mega Man and Taskmaster should be in it next. Save Akuma till the week before the game come so out.

Some you guys are getting excited for nothing. If those leak list are anything to go buy then it'll be hien sen and senti. The last 2 to be announced would be akuma and taskmaster. Unless they holding out on 4 more characters we don't know about. I don't see why mega man is not it since he's part of capcoms legacy as much as sf. Also stop wishing for the most WTF characters! Squirrel girl is a lame marvel character no one gives a crap about! The same goes for some capcom characters. God Hand was not as popular as DMC so stop asking for gene.

It's not really exciting anymore considering we know who the last characters will be and we've already been getting shots of official Akuma artwork.

ima be pissed off if mega man isn't in the game like you have no idea. people are getting magneto storm and sent. i want to get happy also for my favorite video game character. im not saying the roster sucks because the moves are looking awesome. i just want mega man
#54 I get what you mean.. Although megaman was a fun character to use, I really didn't use him much. I won't be hurt if he is not in the game, I already lost cyclops, psylocke, and the old jill which was my main team. The game is still great and I'm glad that we have a lot of new faces and so many different fighting styles. The only thing that messed up the roster IMHO was Akuma, we already have a shoto in the game. All in all, great new game, new characters, new x-factor system and of course, new MVC players which the community needs.

the new characters are Seth and Ono..they spam their troll attacks and are so OP that they're lvl 3 Hyper is showing a piece of paper with a list of fan favorite characters who didnt make it into the game and then ripping it up...its an instant KO to all three opponents no matter what... jk
