Seth dished a bit more dirt on Marvel vs. Capcom 3 via the Unity Boards, answering some concerns the community had about Haggar's command grab throw range, among other things.
Haggar has no range on his command grab, what gives?
Seth Killian: As has been mentioned, Haggar has different kinds of command grabs. The standard "Zangief" type grab does not have huge range, but does do a lot of damage. Haggar also has a command grab you can actually combo into in the air (a true combo), which is nice, but his real juice is definitely the rushing grabs.
They are very fast, have a lot of range (one runs about the length of his pipe bash, while another is close to full-screen), you can chain into them, they all lead into big combos (and he does huge damage), and you can even mix up between an anti-air grab and ground grabs for people that try and hold up to escape with a jump. They're good on their own, but when you mix in pressure from assists, they're really hard to avoid.
P.S. Yes, he does have the most MvC2 "Psylocke"-ish assist in the game.
Why was Morrigan cut from the MvC3 commercial? — Rhuen
Svensson: I've not been involved in the particular cuts of the commericial but if I had to guess:
I blame her cleavage, and how we american's can't handle boobs on TV. — AJ.
And the ESRB controls all marketing material approvals... the commerical content has nothing to do with TV ratings. ESRB still rules all.
Will Capcom be at Pax East? — GhostTear
Seth Killian: We don't have any solid plans for PAX East yet this year. Last year we didn't go as a company, but I did make the trip with a backpack full of unreleased Street Fighter. Once again, time (and schedules, etc.) will tell what's in store for this year...
What size is the case for the PlayStation 3 collector's edition of MvC3?
Svensson: As with the Dead Rising CE, the MvC3 Special Edition Steelbook case is Bluray case sized (not DVD).

But the ESRB doesnt control music video content do they? but i get what you are saying though censorship is crap but it could be worse. Like CERTAIN countries in europe dont like violent games of any sort making it a pain to get a hold of.
With the ESRB being this touchy on this i wonder what a new darkstalkers game would get LOL
Morrigan is covered up in the episode 1 trailer so that's just doesn't make sense though, i don't care since she's in the game. its funny because i read those questions yesterday and really surprised that they answered haggars. aside from that they choose the worst questions to answer.
This has nothing to do with this topic. But i hope capcom remakes RE4 for the ps3+360. That game was very scary and kept the player wanting more and more. RE 5 wasn't that bad, but the story sucked, and i wasn't really scared, other then fighting el higante and lickers. Boss battles were awesome in RE4. Story kept you thinking if umbrella was dead or just taking a long vacation. Sorry guys just wanted to get that off my chest. Cant play my old ps2 games now with these high gig ps3s. 360 doesn't even do that either.
We gamers really need to get off are arses and challange the ESRB and government, this stuff is already in front of the supream Court, we keep sitting down waiting for nothing then Video Games are gonna forever be at the mercy of the ESRB. Still I think most of you guys are silly for worrying about something that does'nt effect the game directly, you seen the first trailer which had plenty of "bewbage" let it go or go do your girlfriend or something.
As for Haggar, I guess everyone wants to sit back like SSFIV Zangief and get cheap throws in there is obviously a reason why his throws have short range. Maybe if you guys let go of your "dream team" Dante/Deadpool roster you might have room to fit Haggar with someone who compliments his fighting style.
Just saying, be orignal.
I'd buy all the RE games in the main series with updated graphics and gameplay ala RE IV. As for Haggar he's my main alongside Wesker and Wolvie. Like the sound of his command throws.
America, where you can show people violence on tv, but a little cleavage is considered blasphemy!!
Haha that's the one thing I can't understand about the US. Bunch of idiots.... and I live in the US btw.
We got Jersey Shore... We have MANswers... We have lingerie Football... But we can't show a 3 second clip of a game character's cleavage? HAHA! Makes so much sense...
What? There are boobs all over TV. ALL OVER IT. Turn on your TV and just watch all the boobs that come on the screen. I don't think it's America so much as it is the ESRB.
I approve of a rating system, just not one as oddly unbalanced as the ESRB's.
Seriously, people like to peg America as a super-prude nation, but look closer and you'll see that if anything the media is totally obsessed with sex.
Man forget talking about Haggar where the new character at?! Lol
Im tellin ya man the reason why is because the ESRB does not control any other media, those parts of media are controled by other media regulations, technically it's ok to show cleavage on TV but since ratings on video games effect all media it's shown in; including tv commercials, if it's a game advertisment it gets swat by the ESRB.
I guess its up to me to make Haggar a viable character since everybody is apparently deficit with Final Fight characters just like in SSF4. *sigh
Pick up some slack people lol.
Ugh, Capcom failed on putting this Haggar guy in MVC3. Huge waste of space. Honestly. He looks lame. No fun to use. I don't see a point. Jeez Capcom. This guy Haggar is gonna get eaten alive in MVC3!

You might as well have posted
"Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks. Haggar sucks."
In fact that IS basically what you posted.
And hey, that's your opinion, that's fine, but it all depends on who's behind the controller.
Lets see what you say when a Haggar player crushes you online after release. I know it'll happen to me eventually.
Some are willing to put time and effort into learning how to play a character, some aren't. Characters like Thor and Haggar require more effort than characters like Ryu and Wolverine. Don't get me wrong, Wolvie is in my team, and I don't claim to be better than you, but my point is, with enough work, anyone can beast with anyone.
Personally, I think they did an awesome job bringing Haggar into the game. To each his own, though.
Haggar still looks pretty beastly in the right situations. No where near as bad as thor seems to be.
Side note: Cleavage is nowhere near as bad as violence on tv. (Which i have no problem with haha) that's a lame excuse.
