And just to show you how far Deadpool likes to go, here's another video.
Videos from Pikawil64 and Subspacepants. Story submitted by Blaidd, Tokidos_no1_fan, SSJ3X, DaBakerMann, NaokiB4U and SirFox.
I knew I should have tipped Eventhubs instead of shoryuken.com. Sigh. Well, at least it got a news post. This is too epic vid is just too awsome to ignore.
this is great....i thought DEADPOOL originated those sayings but now that i know its the other way around....well dammit, that's just downright spectacular =D
I can't wait for someone to make a compilation of all the win quotes and intros this game has. During the Las Vegas stream, there was a face off between Deadpool and Ryu where Wade instantly recognizes Ryu and excitedly says "I frickin' love Street Fighter!"
Deadpool is easily my favorite Nolan North performance. ^_^
For those who want more Nolan North's Wade Wilson, he also did his voice in the "Hulk vs. Wolverine" animated movie. Here's some of Deadpool's best of moments!
Saw this on SRK's media section last night and was wondering why it wasn't on the front page. At first i thought it was fake but i guess not. too good
Capcom trolling, or a hidden message of Deadpool being a future DLC addition to SSFIV? He does already say "shoryuken", albeit in a satirical manner...
What does curly mustache mean? I know it's referencing pringles being salty or what not, but I can't see how people find it amusing.........Why is this funny? inside joke?
Haha. Awesome. Reminds me of how they put "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, b*tch!" In X-Men 3.
Seth Killian is such a nerd.
if you guys are alittle infamiliar with deadpool let me show you this .... http://i.imgur.com/lXM8y.jpg
@#26
No, you're supposed to link this image: http://www.idrawdigital.com/wp-conten...
I know that in that second video clip where he's saying he wants the cover of the next Street Fighter is authentic, except for the poorly shopped Deadpool faces on Ryu, Blanka, and Chun Li... I mean, it's obviously pretty horribad, but I wonder if that is actually in the game...? With all of his antics and joking, it seems like Capcom WOULD go that far, since they go so far as do the "breaking the fourth wall" thing with his win pose/quotes. The only thing that would make me think the "shopped" SF cover image was NOT included, is that it doesn't show the "win quote" screen that's supposed to follow the animated win pose sequence, where it also shows your team mates and the stage you just fought on. Anyway... The first clip was great. Awesome shout out to Yipes. I think it's great that an internet meme like that of the subject material made it into an official product like MVC3. The Magneto alt color was a neat little nod to it, but the Deadpool win quote was just great. Little things like that, where you actually had to fulfill the condition of BEATING "Mag-Freaking-Neto" WITH Deadpool to get Deadpool's related audio to play for his win pose/quote is only some of what I'll look forward to checking out for myself, once this game is in my disc tray. I hope there's a hell of a lot more to come, with other characters, related story-wise. :)
The Pringles Logo has a Curly mustache, hence the lingo:
@Birdie
The cover is not in the game. First, its a super nintendo cover that says "super nintendo" on the bottom right and i doubt that would make it into these ps3 and xbox games. second, the video's description section links to the original gameplay montage of deadpool saying this, without the photoshop parody.
@ Birdie 28:
kingofthesharks cleared it up for you already, but dude. I don't mean to sound mean here or whatever, but LOL, it was a little dense of you to even consider that last image as part of the game. It's clearly a joke made by the video creator. You don't recognise that famous, overused horror music?
Anyway, I always knew Deadpool was an insane (literally) smart-ass, but I love that they so fully implemented it into his character. I wish we could have some banter between him and Spidey ala SSF4 rival battles where they actually say stuff to one another, but that seems unlikely. I hope he has like 40 win quotes so that every time I play him I hear something different. I wasn't considering him for a team, but I might, just so I can beat someone with him and let the hilarity ensue.
seriously capcom, PUT DEADPOOL IN STREET FIGHTER 5! XD
This is where the quote came from
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZZUMj...
and this is why they used the quote according to urbandictionary.com
"pringles" is a term used in Street fighter games in this case Marvel vs Capcom 2. when a char blocks an attack,(mostly special), they in turn receive block, tick or CHIP damage, hence saying or describing the person as the brand name that produces them.
playing Marvel vs Capcom 2: uggggh..... u jes gonna lunch out and stay in the corner and block huh? over there just eatin chips. Hmm... OH you SO PRINGLES, WHERE YO CURLEY MUSTASHE AT?!?!
Pringles logo is
http://www.hamburgercalculus.com/blog...
is a man with a curley mustache. So where your curley mustache at? Magneeto
Congrats to Yipes.
He is definitely the voice of Mahvel and he deserves the ups from Capcom. Well done on both ends for earning the credit and giving the credit.
Coincidentally, (or possibly not) Pikawil64, the guy who made the Deadpool cover video there, is also the guy that started the MODOK's theme goes with trolling meme. (I think)
@34
he better have 40 ending quotes
...and there better be an option on the sound menu to listen to voice bites.
Hmm thought pringles is when you pop/launch them into the air w/ mag and the combo/resets dont stop. Doubt it refers to chip damage like the guy posted above since mag doesnt do much chip.
Hence te pringles motto once you pop the fun dont stop.
Curleh mustache obviously refers to the pringles logo.
Just found an interview w/ jwong explaining pringles. Explanation is at around the 1:25 mark
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_...
He says it means your break easily like a pringles chip
Pringles has evolved into 3 different things, but the original is what Two Coins posted.
JWong's is another.
The third is when you catch an assist in a corner infinite (or another character that gets "popped" up by your assist, giving you a loop opportunity). Once you pop, you can't stop.
I think all 3 work just fine, but Yipes' original is the most memorable. In the corner turtling (eating CHIPS) being called lunching it out. That's too funny.
Doing a dead-man or assist infinite in the corner is "Scoops Haggen Daz"
@50
He has the best MSP in the world along with probably Chris Schmidt.
You don't see the correlation between the two? If Mag-freaking-neto isn't enough for you, what about the curly mustache reference? That originated from him. The biggest one should be the blue Magneto. Don't you find it funny that they used the blue Magneto from the video, a color that wasn't available in MvC2 unless it was hacked? You, sir, are what I call "oblivious".
@ 50 and 53
You two are retarded. His commentary is awesome and it gets people hyped to play MAHVEL!!!
@50 and 53
Yipes is probably one of the most versitile Pro gamers out there mostly because he does'nt just play marvel he plays FPS and other fighters and has placed high in all of them. Yipes is also the realest person in the Pro circut mostly because he tells the truth about how he feels and does'nt care if feelings are hurt. Yipes is true underground, but you would'nt know nothing about that though.
As for the royalties thing, well Capcom doesn't have to pay him jack because it's not copywritten. And you can't use Hagen Daz and Pringles because it's copywritten by a company. He also does'nt say the entire line and replacing "f***ing" with "freakin" for obvious reasons.
People take quotes and lines and use them in their products all the time, this is no different. Besides for all you kno wthey might have asked him already if they could use the line but just understand they did'nt have to.
@20
Deadpool's Shoryuken in MvC3 has nothing to do with Capcom trolling or hinting him as a DLC-char for SSF4, he says it in the comics and that's why he says it in MvC3.
I love absolutely every last thing they're doing with Deadpool.
