Super Street Fighter 4 is now available on Xbox Live's Games on Demand service, letting you download the title for $39.99 without having to purchase a disc.if a digital release comes out like a week or two before store release i would do it but this game is almost a year old and you can't even sell/give it to a friend when your bored of it. also like others have said you can find it cheaper now.
Yeah, there's no way they will pre-street a game for a digital download and release it a week early.
With that said, If a game came out on release date at midnight (for 5 bucks less, since there is no box, disc, booklet), then I would probably buy games on there like that.
No thanks. I have this on disc already.
@#5 & @#7: I totally agree. Plus not only that, but with you having the copy on a disk, you're guaranteed to play this game even in 5 to 10 years later down the road. With a digital copy, it's not a guarantee, because digital copies like this can be taken away anytime that they want. And if they do that & if something terrible happens to your HDD, that game that you've just downloaded onto your HDD goes bye-bye permanently, & there would be no way to re-download it or to recover it.
Physical copies will always win over digital copies anytime of the week.
@#10: But what would happen should XBLA were to go away one day? Or what if Capcom takes away the game from the Games On Demand lineup like I said? Then you're out of luck. Can't re-download anything that you bought if XBLA stops working permanently, etc.
The online games are a completely joke and the companies are just stupid when they release a game like this at full price.
Another complete joke is Borderlands on PS3 which cost like 30 or 40 but you can find it as "greatest hits" for around $20.
If you are not going to get the disc you should at least be able to download the game at a really lower price ¬.¬
@5 Yes,it is cheaper on a disk if you say buy it used from a local gamestop but there's extra cost to making a game that big a downloadable title, that's why it cost the same as it was just released.
@9 Just like how something can happen to a physical disk?
@#11: Never say never. :)
@#14: Not really. If you would learn to, you know, take care of the discs &/or systems properly like I do, you would still be able to play those games in many years down the road.
Plus I saw this same title at Amazon, & they're currently selling it for $16 (360 version, the PS3 version is currently for $18). Brand new. It doesn't exactly have to be a used copy.
@11 actually it HAS happened. UMK3 used to be available for download on either PSN or XBL and it's no longer available. I've personally never owned it and I'm not sure it can be redownloaded by original purchasers.
Chances are, this means Arcade Edition will be released on disc.
That's pretty neat.
