Mizoteru using fei long? does any one know if Amiyu is that gen player from the acho videos? the one with the all white clothes and the red icon.
Huh...looks like I proven my point. The fact that 90% of the roster being unused shows why tier lists are so irrelevant these days. If nobody plays certain characters then how is their opinion valid?
Only one Yang in the top 20¿ I can't wait to see if the time-released characters bring an upset to rankings >_>.
And I'm surprised Dee Jay hasn't even been mentioned or played given the numerous buffs. Laziness and lack of effort among the top dogs in the community really bothers me. Whatever, I guess us "unpopular" players need to show the world what rest of the roster offers.
BTW thanks for the Alpha vids of Cody and Guy Catalyst. Hopefully some AE footage will pop up soon
4 yuns in the top 10. Balanced like sentinel, fun like roll.
well it came out december 16, and its almost been a month, he could easily have 2k matches by playing 30-50 games a day.
Tokido and and mago should have close to 2k too if you count their other cards. Tokido also play Yun based on his blog. Mago's sub sagat.
here comes a SCRUBBY HORDE OF YUN AND FEILONG PLAYERS
So out of 2000 matches... Daigo only lost about 300. Wow. No wonder he's good.
Not a sakura player, but she is fun to watch and seems like a character that someone plays who truly enjoys it for the love of the game.
I tried messing with her but it was taking too much time, has she been buffed?
"daigo spent roughly $300 on AE so far."
if 100 yen a game. more like $400. ok maybe 380
A Gen player ranked 15th with 86% win ratio. Well that's settled, then.. Whiny fags like Yeb can no longer complain about how bad the character is.
Sakura player with the highest winning percentage. Gotta love it.

lol called saving up money and the arcade scene is a part of their culture. And plus they have ways to not pay at times >_>

There are so many players who still keep his ring name as "No Name".
You won't be listed on the rankings unless you assign some "ring name" to your SSF4 card.
Uryo assigned his name when he made it Master ranked as "No Name", this is why he jumped in the chart from nowhere.
I guess Iyo is still "No Name" so as other top players.
The fact that a Gen player is on the list is shocking and very cool. Of course people will still say he sucks, but at least this shows he is at least able to compete.
so iyo, shiro, and momochi arent top 20 players? yeah okay. shiro was pretty much top 3 in the last arcade game and so was iyo and now there just nobodys. give the guys a little more respect than that.
In the canon akuma couldn't beat gen, so he's strong. But why is there no vega up there, in nigeria vega is common amongst the players. Anyway kudos to all the players. Even though there's no ryu he still has his armies online!
yeah you up there, @Ryu_Apprentice, are you nigeria, cause i don't mind tanning up with you. if you are not, well i can't hook up online. i main vega, if you may. holla!!! cause i hate ryu he stops all other character's moves with jumping hard punch or kick. retarded character.
Acqua and Ibuki, excellent. Saw him playing some different characters recently so I wondered if he was looking for a sub or switching completely but it looks like the majority of his time is spent on Ibuki.
Who is Nekojita? Completely out of left field on the Abel representation. I would've expected Shiro. Then again, I don't know of many Japanese Abel players. Not outside of SSF4 online anyway, otherwise I would've expected to see either KSK, pikagoma or robin01.
Anyone know this Abel player?

People who thinks he's unplayble are either whiners who main him and have to spread the "Gen sucks" message so that they can justify their performances, or just don't know him.
Playing with skilled Gen is not only entertaining (nice walkspeed and FA, btw), but also very challenging, because when he gets his Super (and he will eventually, since he doesn't require much meter in his EX department), you cannot afford a single mistake; he just needs a normal cancelled into hands to land his Super (Mantis), followed by Ultra or some more juggles. Play as Seth or Gouki, and such a combo alone will take you down to as low as 20-25 % health.
So yeah, sure he isn't the best in the game (and if he was more used, lots of his tactics would probably be known), but he definitely has tools a good player can make good use of.
Gen, as a character, has generally given players trouble with his learning curve. He wasn't very good in vanilla either, so you had difficulty of use compounded with a relatively weak character. These are the main reasons, I think, that he is statistically the least played character in super.
AE may change that.
"Neba?" is Nen (Grandmaster Rufus in Vanilla)
"Mickaël Tan" is Michael Tan (Master Ken in Vanilla)
"Panpapan ou Banbaban" is Banbaban (Master Ryu in Vanilla)
"Uryo?" is Uryo (Gradmaster Viper in Vanilla)
"Acqua" is Akua (Grandmaster Sagat in Vanilla)
"Nekojita?" is Nekojita (Master Ken in Vanilla)
"Katsuo?" is ☆Katsuo☆ (Grandmaster Sagat in Vanilla)
Not one Ryu?! Nice1 :D
Surprized that theres only 1 Yang. Bcos from what ive seen, Yang is just as good as his brother

Gen does not require a lot of meter? I'm sorry, I'm going to have to disagree. Gen is pretty meter-reliant to get his big damage, not just in terms of his super but with EX moves. He also has a hard time pushing people to the corner without EX. They also slowed his meter gain from Vanilla in Super.
Gen players dropping him when he lost EX Oga(a brainless get out of jail free card) and MK Hands made me sad, but I wouldn't use one exceptional Gen as a tool to tell all Gen players now to shut up. The truth is that Gen got heavily buffed in AE from how he is in Super, and all those people who dropped Gen/complain about Gen are talking about Super. So, using an AE player to tell people playing SSF4 that they are wrong is kind of backwards.
For the record, I don't think Gen is unplayable, and there are a lot of great Gen players right now doing great things with him, but I think saying "one Gen with 80% win rate = everyone else is just whining because they lack true skill" is really presumptuous and not acknowledging that the character actually has flaws that should be addressed. If they put out a car that made unstable left turns, would you just say that anyone whining can't drive?

Apparently, according to that interview a while back with Mago, Tokido, Hiropon, and other pros, Yun is definitely better. His dive kick can cross up while Yang's can't, his DP has a better hitbox, and Genei Jin > Seiei Enbu.
Sorry for the double post.
I'm not entirely sure about this but I seem to remember Iyo quit SF4 and wasn't seen again until the release of Super and played online. I think he got a girlfriend or somethin' and kinda retired from the Arcade Scene, hence the only playing online. I think it might be the same this time round too (only seeing his matches online)
I really hope I'm wrong because I would love to see him competing in arcades rather than online. It's a lot better to watch knowing that there are no underlying factors such as lag involved in the play.

I'm no Gen expert at all, so I might learn something here, but where does that meter go?
I thought that EX hands and EX Roll were of no use. EX Gekiro, I thought it had the same amount of invincibility as the standard one, and EX Oga... I've met some nice (of course there will be better ones) Gens, and all they burnt their meter in, aside from Super, was hands FADC, which grants some very nice damage. He is a meter dependant character, the damage he can unleash in a single combo might even be unrivaled, but I don't see him relying on his EX moves.
Also, I don't know about his meter gain loss from Vanilla, but in Super it looks like he has no trouble, as long as he's not just being pressured to death - and that counts for every character in the game.

This should be front page....DEADPOOL!!!

EX Hands pushes the opponent away less than all the others. This means he can combo something like a sweep after the hands, scoring a knockdown and significantly more damage than normal.
EX Gekiro is the same as HK Gekiro IIRC, but you can mash the kick button to get the full hits much more easily, so there's that.
EX Oga is projectile invincible, but not so great.
Gen's meter otherwise goes to FADCs(which he can combo ultras from). So it's mainly FADCs and EX Hands.
He played like 36 matches less than mago but mago's score is much higher
@Ryu_Apprentice yeap I am in lagos do want to battle, lets meet at the galleria, pick the time, I would see you there or we can meet at my friend's place if you want, my number is 08162305468, my nuhu.
Hey andy have you heard of the shaolin crew? If you play at the galleria you must have met them. Will contact ya soon
Shina, obasa, bolaji and co. Yeah met them before, I think at 1st or 2nd tournament. That means I must have met you, you should be shina. Remember harry.
No am not, anyway one of these days we'll battle, btw know of any fei long site
So now you guys will stop complaining about Ryu? They nerfed him to @#$% because of you whiners.
Fei long site!!! Well I dont know any, but if you want some heads up on fei long, just look for good videos of mago2dgod. Trust me you wouldn't regret it. Do you stay on the island, I really want to play different people, we could hook up! Holla me on my number or give me your number.
LOL! just as I hoped....no Balrogs, no Rose, no Ryus, only one Dhalsim and Rufus....Its nice to see when skill, is preferred over just the easy win to build rank. Kudos to Mago for sticking with Fei and Diago to prove the critics wrong that hes only a Ryu spammer who only knows how to chuck spacing fireballs to win matches...I like reading the hate now with his yun usage. I am surprised though that there isn't more Hakan or Makoto players...however it's the arcade. Im sure other than the top players who have time and money to waste, the rest actually have to wait for the console version before they give those characters a test spin, or else risk wasting unnecessary funds.
Question to anybody who knows...In the arcades in Japan, is Evil Ryu and Akuma special bosses? Or they're not out yet...? (time release?)
that's cool daigo on top
