I know this is off the subject, but check out my moves list for Silver Surfer!! Just so you know it's not complete, but shows that Silver Surfer CAN be implement well on his Surf Board etc.

It's a shame we can never see the actual damage Haggar's lvl 3 does since they always get KO'd before he lands.

^ True. He doesn't even get to the "meat" of the damage since they die so quickly. I'm guessing his Lvl 3 is in the top 3 when it comes down to pure damage

Cornwad did you not see the first 10 seconds of the vid where hulk did 25% damage on Hagger and it took Hagger longer to get that much damage on hulk, and then Hulk fought Chris then hagger killed him with a level 3

Gamma wave is the non-hyper version and TSUNAMI is the hyper version anyway there aren't many times Hulk ever pulls a move like that in the comics so be glad it's in there in the first place

For me Phoenix is the best announcement of this game, I simply can't wait. When she does her Force Field Hyper it makes the same sounds as the cartoon, when she uses Phoenix Force and all the powerful mutants and Gods across the universe felt her presence.

He did a level 3 super which Hulk didn't even try and do a super against haggar plus it was tilled in haggers favor since it's his exhibition video look at the last 10 seconds of the fight HULK JUMPS(though haggers on the ground) and attacks at the air! then haggar comes up and level 3s him

Aww, no Dark Phoenix? I'm a little disappoint.

Near the end of the second video, Phoenix is the last character and she has 5 hyper bars... you'd think they would show it off.

Pheonix literally not figuratively but literally looks pretty godlike. Wish she would take damage like a god though. I hope her traps are similar to Spiral's Dancing Swords.

Unless there are more videos I missed, the only time we've seen Dark Phoenix was briefly in the reveal trailer. I was just hoping to see some more concrete gameplay.

Am I the only one who realizes that every single one of these character specific trailers is heavily choreographed? They always end with the featured character winning using a hyper combo, and they always have a switch out that lets the featured character win it by him/herself solo.

Omg seeing how long that healing wave lasted was very frightening. And OP, unless you have keepaway hardcore she can just teleport in and heal up. I hope it either dissapates when she is hit or they tone it down cause that move looks too powerful :P

@Kipper, it wouldn't make much sense to use Dark Phoenix. It requires you to die and it only lasts for a little while. If she doesn't capitalize or gets caught in a Haggar combo, she's dead. She's already in the lead. There's no point in risking it.

You're right, but like someone just said before, these things are choreographed/fixed. I just figured they would show off one of Phoenix's unique and powerful abilities as opposed to a Hyper we've already seen plenty of times.

Gamma Crush is part of the reason Hulk can off you with a 100% combo on X-Factor. In the corner, just Gamma Quake, X-Factor, Gamma Crush. There was a video somewhere that showed that off.

As for the Healing Shield, seems to have a finite limit in just healing the red health, so there's that. Doesn't negate chip damage so you can keep the pressure on her till the shielf dissipates or she lets her guard down.

As for the Lariat taking a bit of health, ehh, Maki had the same thing in CVS2 so I figure that's something to carry over. It'd be nice if he could do it on assist.

here's to hoping that phoenix saying "scott..."(cyclops' real name) when she's KO'd, means cyclops is planned to be a playable character and that it's phoenix' KO line when paired with cyclops(although, because they haven't finished her other KO lines, this is currently her only KO line). err yeah.

Can't say I'm impressed by Haggar. He reminds me of Hulk, but Hulk seems to have better ways to get in and probably does more damage. Hulk has a projectile as well. Presence of more command grabs don't seem to stand up in comparison.

good lord, phoenix looks like a 30X more specific example of a glass cannon than akuma. It seems like when phoenix is fighting, whoever lands a half decent combo on the other is likely the winner.

In every video, wolvie is just there to get beat down. Phoenix looks alot less fragile than expected, reminds me of when wolvie was good in children of the atom

Hulk looks....better. Chris redfield is the new cable!!! YES!!!! Now this game needs more spiral...

These fights looks more and more staged BUT i guess they need the stars of the videos to shine huh?
i watch ppl(NOT CAPCOM) play as modok, morrigan, chun-li at the CES event. yea they spam much but it made those characters look alot better, it was nothing like these videos. i donno maybe the capcom guys play like really careful but make the wrong move a critical moment in the fights
just sayin it's alittle misleading ya know?

The health regen needs to get toned the **** down! At least require 2 Hyper Combo gauges. Given that she has decent rushdown and recovers health, crap stamina doesn't matter much. We'll see in a couple weeks how cheap or not it is

im the only one worried about phoenix being overpowered? i know that is way too soon to tell but her atacks are really god and her combos damaging, her weakness is her low stamina, but if she dies with 5 bars you get dark phoenix and if you use them you could be the whole time with the regeneration and that would give her a huge amount of hp.

I want to point out a few things about PHeonix that you guys are missing because your looking at one or two aspects about Pheonix and nothing else.

First, her Healing Power only heals RED HEALTH. Any damage she takes she will not recover completly over time and when you consider the damage she takes in a full combo, it would'nt mean jack. Using X-Factor for anything other than damage would be a waste just to heal a slither of Red Health.

Second, Dark Pheonix requires level 5, thats a heck of a commitment, you would have to wait out the entire fight and micro manage your Hyper combos between you and your team just for a chance to use it and of course you can only use it once then you die so using it early is bad. Pheonix needs to kill you and kill you quick before you chip away at her health so she needs those hyper bars for comboing into Hypers.

Which by the way is guess what....her only attacking Hyper Combo. Everybody relax.

They need to put some onimusha characters in there.. 1) Samanosuke Akechi, 2)Jubei Yagyu, 3) Jacques Blanc. they're totally different from each other and their third level would be the Oni form.

You pretty much summed up what I was wanting to say. This dark phoenix gimmick will definitely be the death of a lot of players once the game first hits. Not saying that it is useless, but to base your game around trying to get dark phoenix will severely cripple your actual fighting. Her hypers seem key to her game.

As for the healing sphere yeah, you only heal red health. What is happening when she is getting hit is she isn't taking all the damage because the red health heals up almost instantly, but she is still taking almost as much damage as any normal character would.

It looks like Phoenix only heals red health with her healing shield, and whatever damage she takes during the shield is permanent damage. Good way of balancing it, I think.

#60 Dark Pheonix is basically a stronger more powerful version of Pheonix that activates instantly if you die while you have a Maxed out Hyper Bar (Level 5) She is quicker and does more damage plus she regains her health 100%.

The down side is that she loses health over time and when the health reaches 0 she dies so even if your winning, it's only inevitable your gonna lose PHeonix so however you use it you need to make the best of it and hope you either KO everyone or you have your back ups still alive to finish the job.

I disagree. In the later months, everyone is going to try to save Phoenix for last. If she's ever in trouble, expect a DHC out to safety, and use one character as a scapegoat. Then the other jumps in, tries to build as much meter as possible while landing normal combos and air combos, then Phoenix jumps in. Shennanigans, Dark Phoenix rises, and kills you.

Phoenix... good character or not... is going be hella annoying. Modak will be annoying as well.

And is it just me... or does Ryu just plain suck. Like someone else said... give him a lvl 4-5 to 'unleash' his evil side. That would be sick.

God, can't wait for this game though. Looks so fun and that's what matters right?
