The demon is back and he's powerful. He has a myriad of offensive and defensive options that can be incredibly daunting to any opponent. Akuma's mixups are some of the best in the game and he has quite a few safe approaches and escapes, not to mention the damage and stun on his combos are definitely above the SSF4 average.
However, Akuma has the second worst stamina and stun behind Seth, so a couple of big combos can take him out fast. The tradeoff to Akuma is that there is a much smaller margin of error when it comes to his techniques because you can lose rounds faster than almost everyone. Akuma's defensive options are so good however that you can almost nullify this weakness if you play with precision.

A few things;
I may be wrong on this but I thought the second up input of Ultra 2 had to directly up, not towards/back up. Not really sure on this though.
Under the combo section, the first combo (cr. Lk, cr. Lp, cr. Mk xx Fireball) is listed as ??? damage; It does 140. Third combo (2x cr. Lp, cr. Mp xx HK Tatsu), depending on the distance, it does five or six hits. With five hits the damage is 164, six is 220.
Using MP Shoryuken instead of HP in the Shoryuken FADC Shakunetsu does 10 more damage.

Ppl think Akuma is cheap? Whoa now #7... There hasn't been a cheap character since Sagat SF4 (who was overbuffed but still beatable to nonscrubs). You could literally poke Akuma to death with his low health. If anyone is annoying tho, I give it to Dhalsim. However even advance players fall into a pattern, it's about realizing it b4 it's too late.

the vortex isnt cheap its just a series of untechable knockdowns coupled with some mixups, ibuki has a vortex yet i dont see her getting called cheap especially since she has that easily abused ex ground slide. characters with an infinite i.e fuerte are more cheap and spam happy than akuma imo
It's all about that jump back air fireballs :/
