As usual, the artwork is very top notch! I like the semi-inky comic book style.
Cyclops is my most favorite Marvel Hero and I hope Cyclops makes it in. Or maybe a DLC. Either way I will be really happy if he's a playable character.
While i love Haggar's move set, him getting unveiled along side one of Marvel's most God-like characters is a bit weird. Marvel has a line-up in this game consisting of mostly AAA, extremely well known characters while Capcom has a lot of WTF moments such as Haggar & Trish. Now don't get me wrong, i know some of the Capcom characters are well loved among die hard Capcom fans but it still does not feel balanced from that respective. I mean they have the new Bionic Commando guy in it, a game which was an utter flop and a reviews disaster and now Haggar, a guy who is well loved among the community but is hardly as iconic as someone as Phoenix. At least in my opinion. Of course gameplay wise none of this matters cause even the lesser characters can rock and be awesome. Still...
I guess Frank West will be the next reveal unless they are keeping him for DLC? I wonder if the main character from Dark Void will also make an appearance..probably not cause he might be considered too similar to Iron Man and even C.Viper

Oh wow, I realize that sounded kinda wrong. What I meant to say is that I wanna see Phoenix and Hsien Ko have sex with each other.
@freedomfan im with you for cyclops. it doesn't make sense having x-men characters without him and being in every marvel related vs game. i have a feeling he will eventually be dlc like in marvel ultimate alliance.

Marvel shells out more OP characters than even Capcom has. They got a long history, so it would be unfitting for many of their godly icons they've put on so many front covers to not go into this big commercial game release, all the more reason why im puzzled about cyclops (he's iconic!). Still, when you realize that Marvel's main guy is wolverine,a savage made of adamantium, going up capcom's main guy Ryu, a karate guy who can kinda throw fire...its pretty clear what kind of characters each of the companies take pride in. The typical western macho capable hero vs. the typical meditating japanese hero who's not invincible.
Still, in the video game world, anything goes.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I don't think Frank West is in the game, at least not in the disk. The final four characters from the leaked list, which is obviously right at this point, has four characters left.

Like they've NEVER lied before. Yoshinori Ono certainly has, and Seth Killian's not above the concept at all.
To be fair, Seth never said there weren't any other shotos in the game. Someone asked him about the shotos, and he responded that they were inclined not to include them because the distinctions between them aren't as evident in the MvsC playstyle as they are in the slower-paced Street Fighter series.

Because Corny, those are the two characters I doubt are in the game. The new screen couldn't possably fit Sentinel's hulking structure and I highly doubt Hsein-Ko is in. Do I like her, yes, but I highly doubt she made it in.
And, Yes I own MvC2, I know Sentinel was in that one. Just compare the two screen sizes next time you get a chance, you'll see that MvC3's screen is more close up to the characters making the screen smaller.

There are probably going to be more than 4 more characters. If you look at the character select screen, there are six empty spaces at the top and bottom of the screen. Haggar, Phoenix, hsien-ko, sentinel, taskmaster, and akuma can either fill up one row, or have four in top and two on bottom. Which leaves two slots empty that have to be filled to even out the sides, unless there's a random slot and a dlc slot.

Totally agree with you bud. Though Wolverine is definitely the most popular X-man, Cyclops is quite iconic in his own right. Especially considering he has been the main go-to guy in the series for quite some time now.
Also, Jean being unvealed in this game might indicate her resurrection in the x-books......or at least IMO. The decision now is, stick to my girl Storm or will Jean trump her?
Phoenix will definitely be one of the team members in my team.
@31 So you're saying there will only be two dlc characters?
If those slots are used up by Jill and Shuma, it leaves 4 more slots. Which means only 4 more dlc characters. If 2 of them are on the board, that means there won't be a drop down menu with all of the dlc characters. Which isn't out of the realm of possibility, it's just the easiest method if capcom plans to add more than 6 dlc characters.

Tbh i don't really mind if Frank West is in this game or not, haven't even played a Dead Rising game yet although he was kinda fun in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom. But Capcom is obviously very serious when it comes to promoting this guy as the next best thing for the company so not including him would be ridiculous IMO. If he is not available from the start i am still confident he will be offered as DLC
Yeah Seth saying that the character roster is only in the mid thirties (with plans to hopefully go even higher, aka DLC), Lupinko's list is pretty much confirmed 100 percent by now.
No Frank or Megaman, and Taskmaster and Akuma for the final character reveals.
Cuz Seth himself said there will only be a roster in the mid thirties. Lupinko's list has 36 people. Check the G4 video.
As much as I would love there to be more characters, at this point, it doesn't seem likely, DLC excluded of course.
@FOOOLS Kensek is a reliable leaker I have no doubt about that. But he only said he knew about Taskmaster, Hsien-ko, Storm, and Haggar for certain. He said he had only heard that there where forty characters. Kensek never stated that he knew for certain that the roster was over forty characters. I know you want to remain hopeful for whatever reason you have, But Seth pretty much confirmed the final roster is within the thirties. Lupinko's list has 36 characters 38 counting Shuma and Jill on it. It's time people faced it, there's no Megaman and no Frank West, or Green Goblin for that matter. Akuma, Hsien-ko, Sentinel, and Taskmaster are all that's left, deal with it.

Trust me, I really want to believe that leak list you gave us because it rocks. But Nitsuma also said Phoenix was deconfirmed and that there would be no more darkstalkers, so yeah :(

I with they picked someone else other than Haggar. I don't know why people complain about Felicia being a wasted space when Haggar's in this game. He just doesn't fit.
Very disappointed capcom put this guy haggar. Let's all be honest. What's the point of it? nobody will use him. Nothing good about him. Looks lame. No fun to use. Jeez Capcom. This game is all quickness. This guy is in the wrong place -. - come on! better add someone to make it up for this tch!
Haggar is more of a fanservice thing. People have wanted to play as this character for years. He definitely won't appeal to new people or the average forum goer, that's certain.
Personally I think his moves look like total ass. I think Capcom could've spruced him up a bit more, his animations look stiff as hell.
To those saying Frank isn't in, why would they continue to show his silhouette if they only planned him as DLC or excluded him entirely?
And for those saying no incarnation of Mega Man is in at all, you do realize that'd be exactly like Nintendo excluding Mario froma Smash Bros. game, right?
