nice combos, im just wondering if basically once the super puts you in the air, does this mean a tight combo string leaves you helpless to be juggled till the super meter runs out ?
Im sure its nice to be the best at somethin and dont get me wrong... i love SF but i have too much of a life to ever have 45000 anything on that game! I like having friends and boning my girl! Speakin of which.... ;D
lmao he just walks away as soon as he wins lmao.....(btw, not because he's so beast with'em) but im so excited to truly play as Yun next time. I live in NY and went to the Chinatown Arcade in Manhattan and played as him but sucked. He's just such a cool looking character model though. Plus, he skateboards and i like that alot cuz i do too ^-^. Oh one more thing, I saw and met mad pros there. From those I can remember, Dieminion, Sanford Kelly and Adnon were there as well as this SUPER beast Zangief player that had the illest Psychic Siberian Blizzard Ultra Combo Finishes ahaha.Fun time in NYC. Imma go back this sunday (srry for the paragraph guys =x)
#9 OK first of all, SF is basically Daigo's job. Playing, winning, and getting better all make his sponsors happy and keeps the $$$ coming. So of course he's going to play a ton. The typical job is 8+ hours a day, so if Daigo is playing 8 hours + whatever amount of time a regular Joe would spend with his hobbies, then it's not so extreme.
Plus, you make it sound like you're the only one with a girl haha. You can't bone 24/7, and even if it was possible, I wouldn't want to (maybe when I was younger and it was all new to me).
So yea, get over yourself. If you don't want to play SF all that much because you have "too much of a life," that's your prerogative. There's no right or wrong here unless it was getting in the way of Daigo feeding himself or paying the bills.
@SmoothJK:
It's hard for some people to use their eyes and see that he hasn't played all that much...
1373 Wins 225 Losses.
Use your brains people. If you actually watched the Vanilla Arcade scene before Super came out, you'd knew all this stuff.
Shout outs to using the "i have a life/girlfriend/friends" excuse when comparing yourself with godly players.
When really there shouldn't be any comparison ;D
If I got paid to travel the world and compete in videogame tourneys I'd probably do it even if I had to wear a MadCatz shirt all the time.
Probably make a ridiculous amount of friends and meet a ridiculous amount of girls in and out of the arena. :)
Daigo has a day job and a family, too.
It's apparently very difficult for some people to admit that they just aren't good at games/sports/school/work. The only people they're deluding with their excuses are themselves.
@18
But still, Tokido said he was struggling with maintaining 33k BP. Once he hit 30k, he said it was much harder to win games. I don't think getting to 45k is an easy task.
lol @#9 trolling at its best...hopefully
Dont see how playing at an arcade is gonna separate you from spending time with your friends unless of course they arent the gamer types. Big community with lots of possible people to meet, bound to make quite a few friends just by interest of hobbies.
And anyone not a recluse, would just hit up a club or something after a day of gaming to unwind perhaps and meet up with the ladies or meet new ones.. you make it out like its hard to get laid or something. The economy is bad which means women have more free time on there hands too. Dont make excuses for yourself lol.
@22 Daigo has a day job but not a family if you mean a wife and kids...guy is definitely still single.
I could take Daigo down so easily. All you need to do is punch the dude in the face! ROFLSTOMPED TROLLSAUCE!
But seriously, that guy operates on a whole other level.
after seeing that(and atm) id say that super needs more scaling, it needs to go down to 0% after awhile. Daigo should not have been able to finish Sagat in that 3rd round imho, looked pretty cheap. tho i will admit that timing was pretty specific, genei-jin was just about to run out so thats godlike timing on his part. but still that last round's ending was gross, 13 inputs and still doing damage?
@29/Metalx
Why would any move do 0 damage as a result of scaling? Scaling just brings moves down to 10%, which is probably what happened considering the last 2 moves of his combo did less than 10 damage (probably) . And all in all, The entire Genei-Jin combo did about as much as, say, Fei's Super in that situation.
As of right now, the damage GJ does i a single combo isn't that special. It's the pressure time and the mix-up potential that's big.
"Im sure its nice to be the best at somethin and dont get me wrong... i love SF but i have too much of a life to ever have 45000 anything on that game! I like having friends and boning my girl! Speakin of which.... ;D"
....So much of a life and yet here you are on eventhubs, lol! Such nonesense! Like Nightmarebooster said;
"It's apparently very difficult for some people to admit that they just aren't good at games/sports/school/work. The only people they're deluding with their excuses are themselves."
Exactly! There are millions of people out there who spend as much and or maybe even more hours than Daigo playing yet they are nowhere near as good as he is so it's not simply x amount of hours = x amount of results but it's the person putting in the hours and the quality of the hours, "Mr I have a life". The mere fact that you have to make this statement makes me wonder how much of a life you really have?
@29 metalhealth
it looks normal to me remember supers are normally 300-350 damage so yuns is probably about that much maybe more with resets and stuff but resets are win lose for yun cause if you block his super mnight be wasted on say 150 damage for trying to reset if you dp and it reversals then he really just wasted a super
Can I haz Super Street Fighter Yun and Yang Edition?!
some good points. But still, i didn't think genei-jin needed changes until i saw that third round. Daigo did not have to mix up at all, that was all 1 combo that ended up doing alot of damage. id have to say most supers in that situation (2 hits deep, and sagat with less then 1/3 life) would not be able to finish the match. if that combo had ended and daigo had to mix up to win id completely agree, but that's not what happened in the round im referring to. *shrug* just an early observation on my part, its not like im against yun & yang.
@9:
Wow you're so cool man. You have a gf!
Get over yourself and stop acting like you're cool. Guy plays video game for a living. It's no different than you going to work (if you work at all in your life) for eight plus hrs. If the excuse why you suck at SF or anything in life b/c "you have a gf" then so be it. All it means that you're whipped by your gf b/c you have no time for anything else besides her.
I think you should watch the video again. What Geneijin adds there it's about 200ish health, it took like 6 hits to drain Sagat's last 50 hps. Is it that overpowered? Consider also that the one in the video is probably the highest damaging setup you can confirm, since it starts at 70 % scaling.
Try looking up for other Yun videos, you'll see how bad it is when you go for it after a b&b. It gets to the point it's almost detrimental, with its EX Lunge punch and EX Dragon Kick being good enough.
im glad daigo said hes putting ryu down and picking up yun
Why has it taken forever for anyone to capture Daigo Playing on camera? what the F**k is he, a damn Leprechaun?
man i wish our ranking system was like this. Capcom if your readin this when our AE DLC comes out FIX OUR RANKING SYSTEM.
@29
have you played 3rd strike?
trust me dont complain about this Genie-jin until youve had your ass handed to you by an unlimited amount of Genei-jins in one round by good 3rd strike players.
hmmm... something about how Daigo uses Yun that isn't quite Yun-like... at least from what I can tell from this match up vid. And granted, he's only played him for a lil more than 2wks. but maybe it's just me.
I bet Daigo and Tokido are really happy about their characters from SSF4 are set to appear in another Capcom game.
"Lucky" guys?
