Capcom-Unity hosted a live stream from CES 2011, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was one of the games they showcased throughout the day, along with some of their other titles.

A special Marvel vs. Capcom 3 event tournament happened as well, with EG.Justin Wong, EG.Marn and other players competing. To see who won and which characters they used, plus to check out an archive of the stream, hit the jump.

I don't think he said they would be playable, just that they would be revealed. At least there a more characters to play as in this build as opposed to the last one!

I love how these guys go for like 20 minutes to an hour or so before they FINALLY start up a new match. Watching these noobish players beat up on an unoccupied second player is painful enough without some even NOOBIER jackass spamming X-23's flashkick looking move, as soon as she was the last remaining character for his opponent to beat on. All I heard, over and over again, was "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!" "weak!"... etc.
I LOL'd when someone else wrote the comment on here, "Christ, is it THAT hard to find a second player...?!" (Paraphrasing, of course, but that's the long-short of it. lol)
I am hoping to see more character reveals tonight, but I won't hold my breath. I WAS hoping to at least see more Haggar and Phoenix in action, though.
Gamespot seems to have the same type of noobs working for them as Gamestop. Put this game into the hands of better players, please! lol

Haha Marn was the last person I wanted to win. He should have lost in that single elimination match against that random guy but got lucky.

All Wong was doing in the finals was giving Marn a lot of red life. I was screaming into the screen that he should end his combos with a super combo.... oh wells.

This game is hype. Chun is not on my team haha.

i was one of the first on the tream knocked out first round i was trying my best to get in with V joe and other characters but modok is VERY HARD to beat when no characters have a far enough dash or they cant get next to him....

I was the one in the tournament and in gameplay with the name joe BTW i didnt even touch dante but i was one of the first to use X 23 there then others started using her too but meh dont hate me because i tried it was my first time touching MVC 3 and YES IT IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM 2 i even talked to mike ross and wong they both agreed with me

Well nobody can judge your skills really seeing how this game isn't out yet. Good stuff at least trying X-23. She's got potential to be the new Psylocke who I felt was irreplaceable

Don't feel bad, bro. It was obvious a lot of people didn't know what they were doing. And then there was some people like Marn who already knew how to play for the most part. Even Justin Wong looked like ass haha.

When the game comes out and people start learning how to do the combos, resets, and pressures more, then this is going to be a crazy game.

yeah and the stic they provided for us were complete ass to be honest but I am happy with the game so far and when they were calling last games I was using spencer and I must say he is a beast

I ended up accidentally 100% ryu with his QCF light, in to heavy, after wall bouce do QCB heavy for the ground slam then did his QCF hyper and off of that did QCF light off of the wall bounce, in to QCB hyper and that was hwo to 100% ryu atleast with spencer and all of that is unrecoverable because you are always in free fall

Is it me or does Dante look really, really, really, broken? The chip damage in this game is kind of high and the timer runs so fast. I'm definitely going to be using Dante and Chun and for the 3rd slot I'm not too sure yet but, Trish and Modok are looking pretty good aswell.
