Zaid put out a TON of effort for people to be able to check this out, overcoming lots of technical hurdles, so please sit back and enjoy.
makes me feel bad that i wanted to bring a 360 controller to a tourny xD
The font makes Daigo look like he says he loved the game when he was a little ho.
@11
I know how you feel, I wish I can go to at least one.
Why dont me and my friends go to ChinaTown Fair besides the owner being a racist.
It's like throwing money away. We ALL know Andy aka AutoDemon and Chris Hu with their friends killing everyone and laughing about it later. They have the luxury of having friends who know the game inside and out and exploit it for their own gain. So Fk them!
Do I wanna beat them? I already did and what happened? They wanted to keep playing me until they won ONCE. Then they let others play.
They truly obsess over the game and that's not something I do...EVER. My peeps said, dude wtf are these guy's problem?
I said simply...they're addicted.
Wow, I can't believe that I just sat through the whole thing :) But every second was worth it :)
^Everyone who wins the lottery should be obligated to open an arcade.
This hit my heart man. I love this, and the amount of love for the game that was put into this vid
For you guys saying you want to go to a tournament... there is nothing stopping you. Even if there aren't any tournaments in your area, plane tickets aren't that expensive and very worth it. If I'd only been playing online for the past two years, I would have quit a long time ago. Tournaments are the only thing keeping my love alive.
Try to make it happen.
What did GamerBee said after the credits roll to Filippino Champ? xD
im going to watch this on my phone, it looks good.
actually wtched it all and good footage good interviews but the closing statement bad but its all good and great post
Chen is just too likeable to bash him for getting salty.
I actually thought it was kinda cute in a way. Like a panda bear that had its bamboo stick taken from it.
It's funny cause i remember watching the stream for SCR, and several times Chen was talking about how bad mirror matches are (except Ryu/Ryu). Now i know why he was so vocal about it.
He is right though. When you have a mirror match, the whole rock/paper/scissors concept goes out the window, and it's like both players just have rock. You're both trying to accomplish the same exact things, so it really does often come down to who is more random.
Now I'm even more pumped for Final Round.
-Ric Flair WOOOOOOOOO!-

Great series Zaid! I appreciate all the work you put into it.
The video was very interesting and well done. My only complaint is his speech at the end. It wasn't nearly as "compelling" as he thought it sounded. It was painfully obvious he was just cramming in big words to try and sound intellectual, but it was very redundant and didn't even make sense at parts
@ 37 doublef
Yeah I thought so too. I think he memorized the whole speech thing at the end too based from my observation of it. That may also be the reason why it didn't quite have the spontaneity it could have had. Nevertheless, he makes a very sound argument about the whole arcade thing.

Regarding the video though, I thought it was pretty well made. I could see that Zaid really has a lot of talent. Not to mention a lot of free time perhaps, to really make this kind of video with the length to boot. Very well done Red Rapper. Thank you!
This video like many others in the past has touched me in a way where it just further drives my desire to improve... I sadly did not play very much in the arcades when I was younger (at least not too much on fighting games, I had a phobia or the arcade stick lol) but when I did...I did get that feeling of wanting to be the best... As time went by I never took console playing seriously because most took games as a poor way to spend your time so there were not many people around to play with. But now that I have stepped into the world of the true fighting game community.. There is no turning back for me. I crave knowledge to improve my skills.. True I would love to be well known but... Just the experience alone would make it all worth while... Even if no one ever knows who I am. I do admit I get the minor frustrations but I feel that it will all be worth it if I do learn from them and I better myself and learn my character's strengths and weaknesses and any and every match up. Just whatever knowledge that can be shared from one gamer to another is much appreciated... I pray and hope that one day the arcade scene does come back... I want to step into that world that I was merely an observer before and go toe to toe with the legends, the new blood... Just I want the full effect of what it means to truly appreciate fighting games.
@Mr.Clack that is not the first time I heard about the owner of CTF being racist. Henry Chen always has something slick to say about black people when he is on commentary and I think that is stupid. Chris Hu should be a bit more humble I remember a ton of folks donated money to him when his apartment burned down.
lol SRK beat you by 1 minute Catalst! How does it feel? lol
Love the matches BTW
