I was actually really impressed by this because this is alot of stuff you dont even see from professional players.
And the scrub community doesnt even know what they are looking at so naturally they just whine that something needs to get nerfed. Meanwhile yun is somehow fine and the idiots havent even played the game but even pros say he's too good.
@#20 Yes I wish Capcom would go back to the old day where they didn't give a Fu*k the days of WW Guile and CE Bison and Normal Sagat and Super Vega. The good ole day's where there where fights after the tournament's. When you didn't shake your opponet's hand after he beat you.
On the other hand, Familyguile, wannabe pros often see greatness where there is none. This isn't a perfectly balanced game. Pretty much every charge character sans Blanka and Vega has an extreme advantage in this game. Hell, you can even see it in casual matches.
I main dudley seth and abel so if im on a losing streak with them i switch to Balrog and suddenly i win all the matches?

Very impressive...definitely a nice display of reflex, anticipation, super-armor cancel into ultra....I would like to see this guy pull off some of these moves in tournies though...the guys he played with are online scrubs mostly..and they don't know these tricks..
I hate Rog too but got to admit he played well.. it's a good thing that Rog is nerfed in AE.

Seriously though, this guy is really creative with settingup his ultras. You basically dont see it being set up by anything other than the launcher typically, this guy is setting it up off of standing jabs.
But yea, scrubs still think he's OP even in this game..i cant believe people whine more over this game than they did in vanilla when it's far better balanced, and even vanilla was really balanced.
Then the idiots hype up other games theyve obviously never even played that have like 1/100th the balance of this game and they say it's fine...stupid.
first thing first comment on the video, i main balrog and play other characters just as well, he is not "easy mode" yes he is if your playing scrubs online which is mostly everyone, u try winning a tourney with balrog, and yes i go to them from time to time.... and i am a great balrog.... he is tough to master a high level and thats why there are only a couple pros that can use him, if he was so easy why cant everyone use him? and if you win with him online while losing with your mains that becuase online is filled with scrubs, and you suck with your main.... now the video.... not impressive, all those dudes were scrubs and its easy to do fancy stuff against scrubs big deal ultra through a fireball wow ....

^what you write is true and i dont think balrog is overpowered at all but i just find him boring and annoying to fight against.He can win mostly by holding downback....even guile does it too but atleast he actually has to move around sometimes unlike Rog
Why would Guile have to move around if balrog doesnt since guile is a projectile character...and why dont you cross either of them up.
Another thing...it doesnt matter who he was playing against in this video...it's not like you can say "omg that would never happen to a pro because pros never ever get hit by standing jab!" or "Omg noone throws fireballs against balrog!"
Some of those guys probably just had no diea he was capable of doing that. I mean who really does that besides keno..you dont expect to see that usually so stop hating and use your heads.
of course he is boring, its his style, a lot of characters are difficult to deal with and annoying el fuerte, zeth to a certain extenet, thawk all need to be dealt with a certain way among others, thats what makes this game so good, if everyone was the same way to deal with this game would be boring lilke some other fighters... each character is unique and thats why its hard to play more then one at a high level..... many people can play a character few can master them the ins and outs.

Completely agree with you dude... usually the higher the PP, the more skilled the player is assuming he didn't cheat to get those points...
I have pretty high BP with a low-mid 3000 PP. Can rarely beat players with PP above 3800.

Balrog is predictable and his mix-ups are limited, AND he can't do anything from far away. This is why he has several armor breaking punches and super armor on rush punches.
Balrog has really good tools, but definitely not over powered. He just works with the engine, a lot better than some other characters. Working good with an engine+having good tools is not equal to being OP.
If you fight the player as well as the character, you should begin to see Balrog's weaknesses.
Is this what you guys do in your technical (math/science/problem solving) classes? Cry until the problem goes away instead of being disciplined and studying each aspect of the problem carefully until you've formulated a strategy to deal with said problem? lol

The issue with points online is the same as prestiging in CoD. It's points accumulated based on how many people you beat, but the bulk of that is just really bad players. That's why when a player has a lot of points, it does't necessarily mean they're great players. Especially if they're great at beating really bad players.
You can't even say he cant do anything from far away though..one vid he catches a guy throwing a fireball from full screen with his ultra

Well its true that Rog doesn't really need much effort to win with him. This video does show some of this less commonly used links.
In the end though, almost all of rogs rush punch moves are safe and its obviously really easy to link his ultra.. So in some ways he is over powered, not to mention that he can be INSANELY annoying if he turtles because of the tools hes got.
Too much repetition or mediocre action. I stopped watching after 4 minutes, of which about 30-40 seconds was worthwhile. If the remainder was more of the same this could have been condensed into a 1:30-2:00 video of entertaining content. And what's up with all the 400BP opponents?

None of his punch moves are safe and it's obviously not easy to link to his ultra, but you can called him overpowered...anything we have difficulty with is overpowered.
Sound reasoning is overpowered for example.
The guy i responded to...number 58..was talking about rush punches.
