Marvel vs. Capcom 3 round 2 DLC polls open on Capcom-Unity

Updated: SmokeRulz noted that something happened and the polls were reset, so if you voted earlier today, you should vote again.

Zonic has opened up round 2 of voting on Capcom-Unity for the characters you'd like to see as DLC in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. There are twenty characters on each side which you can vote for.

Company V.P., Christian Svensson, said that this is a poll they're looking at, so it's a way to have your voice heard on which characters you'd like to see as DLC — but keep in mind that this is not an official poll.

Thumbs up to you sir. Ms. Marvel should have been in this game already. She is one of the best female characters in the Marvel universe. Its a shame she got looked over, especially when mundane characters like MODOK and Shuma-Gorath made it in. She even bodied MODOK in her series. Just sayin

I am "hoping" is some new characters that really has a different type of gameplay... for example add Urien from SF3 with parry.
Strider is similar to Dante in a sense that he can teleport and has a sword. The drone super are not there, but Dante can do tons of damage and have better "fireballs". And Venom is kind of like Spiderman.

Sick of this vote B.S. Capcom already has the character list they want. They just want to make the fans feel like they actually had there votes heard....

Example: SSFIV had the same vote thing going on, Does Rose ring a bell to anyone?..? she sure as hell didn't make the list on votes from the fans. She some how managed to appear in the game....go figure..

In my eyes it should be M.Bison.
Not only that he is well known, was already in mvc2, xmen vs sf, etc. b4 and well worked out, - no, but because on the capcomsite there are just 2 (im words: two) evil chars: Wesker and Akuma. Who else? Two neutrals when i counted right (Morrigan and Tron Bonne) and the rest are good guys. Thats pretty lame.
On Marvels site there are 7 evil chars.

I hope everyone realizes that if you vote for Venom, guaranteed it won't be either Eddie Brock or Mac Gargan if you're a fan of either but their new Venom that is going to be launching a new ongoing series. Voting for Venom will most likely put Flash Thompson in the game since that is the current thing Marvel is pushing.

The irony in all of this is that since this vote is not endorsed by Capcom, it's not going to make much difference. The DLC list is probably already chosen and if the vote fits with their list, it will most likely be coincedence although I am not really complaining on what the actual list is.

I doubt the DLC list is already chosen. And Sven himself has said Capcom is paying attention to this poll, even though it was not officially started by them. The results of all this very well could influence the DLC decisions. Have faith, grasshopper.

@ #35 My main-point was about Bison:
I personally expected him to be in the game from the beginning - especially since there was that special screenshot. It would have given the game much more Character (Character of the game).
If u dont know resident evil, u dont know wesker. - a char, that never appeared in a 2D fighting before to my knowledge. And so the main story is predominantly based on marvel-villains.

I have a feeling that Bison will be in. Hopefully Sigma, too. As far as some of the other popular ones...

Mega Man X: Really hoping this guy makes it in. IMO he is the coolest Mega Man.

Virgil: not too visually distinct from Dante and Dante's Sparda costume. But from what I've been told he has a different fighting style, and DMC could use another rep.

Gene: I had to look this one up. This game was a pretty big flop so I'm not sure if Cap wants to touch this. In reality, I'm sure they're looking for characters with mass appeal and Gene, um looks like a DMC reject. But maybe that will work for him with Dante being so popular.

Frank West: Real Megabuster! I'm serious, man, if this guy makes it in they will have to replace this hyper. You know, cuz Mega Man X will be in.

Phoenix Wright: The fans have spoken. Sure hope they put this guy out soon so everyone shuts up and stops fighting.

Jon Talbain: YES! Keep voting people! Werewolves are popular right now for all the wrong reasons but J.T.'s old school and apparently the most popular DS character in the polls.

Overall it looks like my votes on the CAP side are the leaders in their particular games so I'm not too worried.

As for Marvel... Go Venom, Gambit, and Black Panther!!!

- Vergil is pretty much Dante with a different sword.
- Carnage is a variation of Venom.
- Cyclops is only wanted by the Optic Blast spammers from MvC2.
- Nightcrawler is dead in Marvel Universe 616, so he's not getting in.
- Who seriously cares about Bass.EXE for something other than his angst?
- Ryu from BoF has the same name as a character who's already in, with no way of differentiating.
- We all know Jon won't even really be considered. It never matters how many people want Jon, Capcom always acts like he doesn't exist. He could be dominating the poll and they'd still go "Jon Talbain? Who the hell is that? ...A male Darkstalker? That's preposterous!"
