Aww, if it wasn't hard enough being Pheonix already... The Akuma one made me laugh, though.
It's really interesting to see these videos. However, the fact is that these are some unlikely scenarios since most require a large pool of meter for both sides, which during the course of normal play may not be commonly available.
Being an Akuma player myself, I have to say that the Raging demon is one of the moves that, even though extremely fast, is quite hard to land in normal cases, so I use all other hypers instead. But even though that is the case, executing a single FB hyper will nearly KO D. Phoenix at transformation, which still sucks for her (X-Factor will most certainly do it, even at level 1).
But, Phoenix as a fighter is brilliant, even though quite easy to beat due to obvious reasons. If Phoenix is part of my team (I mix up my team's 3rd player quite often, with Wolverine and Akuma being constant), I try never using meter since D. Phoenix with Lvl 3 X Factor is a beast, even better than Akuma.
Spider-Man killed it.
(Literally.)
"LLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSEERR.".
Now i know how too handle DP with SM.
Note: Spidey did what others needed 4 bars for with just 1. Does what a spider can indeed.
DHCs or XFCs from beam supers can be used as well. Surprised he didn't touch on these.
When you kill Phoenix with a beam super, Dark Phoenix gets hit with the rest of the beam super (and is unable to block).
So, you could DHC into another beam super (or one or two other supers) and hope you do enough damage to kill her, or XFC into the same beam super, and most likely kill her pretty easily.
To answer number 9's question, you need to go to sound options and set the sound to dynamic
In terms of the videos, these were entertaining, and Spidey's made me lmao
Hold the phone...
Did She-Hulk just use her Taking Out the Trash super w/o using meter?
Now can we get a patch...? Just sayin'...
It -might- be alright...
Pheonix is fine, Pheonix is supposed to be a gamble. I still find it funny, they have such a risky character on the Marvel side, but also one of the cheapest. You know, so you can have both on the same team and never have to use Pheonix.
Hmm... Akuma's and X-23's setups seem to be the only ones not requiring X factor. Kinda curious what the minimum levle of X factor is needed to KO Dark Phoenix in these other setups.
It may be a non-issue though since if Phoenix is on point, typically it's the last character standing.
Knowing that an opponent has a phoenix on their team may make an opponent be more meter conservative in order to let loose like in these videos in order to not have to deal with Dark Phoenix.
It's very common to see the player with the Phoenix team being more meter conservative to ensure 5 super meters when Phoenix dies so it may not be a bad trade off for the opponent to play a more meter conservative style.
It's an interesting meta-game situation that Phoenix puts in to place here.
I always thought I was a genius for knowing that Spider-Man trick :( Alas... I am just a regular person.
Guess what Phoenix players? All of those Hyper-combos are grabs. You're making this seem wayyyy worse than it actually is.
dude its so easy to build meter every air knock down our air team tag gives u a meter so its really not that hard. u can get 3 meters off of one big air combo when tagging everyone out in the combo
Akuma and Spidey's were ill as hell! Haggar's was cool BUT honestly, Phoenix doesn't respect the pipe so she dies quick without X-Factored Haggar.
So far the characters people hate are the easiest to beat. Iron Man at high level play would eat Sentinel & Phoenix for breakfast
To instant kill reg Phoenix with Haggar go:
L, M, L Violent Axe, L, M, L Hoodlum, M, M, H, Pipe, L Hoodlum, M, M, H, Pipe, OTG Assist, L Hoodlum, M, Headbutt (Up H), Swing.
Great combo after snapping out Phoenix
wow...
