Kotaku posted a handy review of the PDP Marvel fight pad putting it to the test. It's one thing for a controller to be responsive, reacting quickly to your stick movement and button presses. Thanks to its micro-switch arcade precision directional stick and buttons, the Versus Fighting Pad actually feels responsive.
Each button delivers a satisfying click when pressed. The directional stick clicks when moved up, down, or diagonally. The combination of audible and tactile feedback makes it much easier for the player to keep track of complicated combination moves, where missing even one command can throw the entire sequence off.

Already have a arcade stick but I might get one of these just because...
Thing is, MvsC3 is ridiculously pad friendly as it is. I would even argue it's better for using in-combo assists because of the bumpers. This pad is cool, but I don't think it's any better in the long run.
I bought one on launch date.... too bad I can't really try it out because my friend is borrowing my SSFIV and my copy of the SE:MvC is still coming through the mail....
Figured I'm part of the 17% sven has mentioned
can someone who has a fightpad and one of these compare and contrast? I like my fightpad....but this one sounds good too, maybe better?
I mean if I wanted a stick, I'd buy a stick, not a pad..right?
]......Someone reading this PLEASE make a high quality PAD with the 2 shoulder buttons both above the 6 buttons and none above the D-PAD(not a mini-stick) itself.
I own this and the fightpad. The fightpad is simply obsolete and has been relegated to my cupboard, whereas I am using my PDP pad full time. It is a fantastic pad and I have not found any fault with it. It IS super accurate so Fwd dwn fwd doesnt actually register as shoryuken input. You actually need to do fwd down dfwd. That has been the only tricky part so far but hey, its helping with my execution, so I dont care.
That thing's ugly. Playing that stick-style looks uncomfortable too.
The button layout is f*cked though. The layout on the xbox pad is better because S is always within reach.
This pad was clearly designed before they even played the damn game. It sounds great except for that button layout. It works if you're in stick but if you're using thumbs it's totally f*cked.

That's exactly what I need.
I use my regular 360 pad in a "arcade" stance, and it is very hard for me to reach bumpers and triggers in conventional ways, that's the reason I have to use my knee to press the trigger. I'm used to do that now but I want a dedicated pad for fighting and this one seems to be exactly that. Wonder if EBay is selling it as well...
If this is anything like the PDP 360 Tron Controllers..I would say buy them Now..or they will be going for as much as a freaking Madcatz TE stick in 6 weeks.
Also Honestly....I haven't been this psyched about a controller since ASCII was making Saturn Pads for Dreamcast.
Can I just buy the buttons to put in my fightpad? lol
