Heads up from Blizzard_IPC, Darkcow and Keatzz.
@Kizaru: That was tokido's xbl account. No question there.
That combo against Vega was ridiculous. Gotta learn that.
lol @ #1
Bullcat's on another next level, mint vid
Playin Gouken is all about anticipation. Bullcat is from the future !
@14
Yes, unfortunately this is what keeps Gouken low-tier. You have to work a lot harder with him than with other characters; he doesn't have a great deal of "safe" moves, and banks most of his game on reacting to the opponent's attacks.
Some of this will be fixed in AE. Before AE, Gouken had no way to hit confirm any special from light attacks. His best block string was literally 4 jabs and a cr.lk.
The Cat will always be on top man. I'm waiting to see a match with him and daigo. Even if he loses I want to watch it. He beat Mago, Tokido and gamerbee. He is my gouken idol
He loves that eclipse stage, man those ultras on reaction especially online wow.

Thats what I love about playing gouken. I feel Im doing something different everymatchup and im never bored playing him unlike a character like adon whos boring as hell to play.
In AE gouken STILL cant hit confirm into specials. a Jab jap jap Lp palm would be a true hit confirm but he cant do that. Best thing you can do in AE is stuff of Standing MP since it has mad frame advantage now. If they gave him hit confirms then he would be way too easy to play and people would banwaggen him to death. Although I feel a hitconfirm to LP Palm with damage reduction would not hurt.
I like the way you have to play gouken. Its feels good to take chunks of damage when someone messes up. Plus it keeps bandwaggeners away.
wow i never thought regular hurricane can be used as a dp. maybe i should use that instead of cr. firece.
@ 18 you could have not have said it better he is hard to play there is no exFDDF god move that beats most moves in the game. If he had one he would be played alot more. 90 percent of my play is Gouken and when people getting in trouble playing the dp mashing comes out
I main Gouken, but I'll play MvC3 until AE DLC comes out, I needs me some BUFFS!!!!!
Bullcat is another player who proves that tier list and matchup ratios are not official [Even CAPCOM themselves has said this]. No character is made to just suck. Characters are made for differences, appealing to a player's preference of playstyle. Bullcat uses a character deemed weak by the majority and yet he is beating characters who are deemed powerful by the majority.
I seriously believe people are just making a simple VIDEO GAME difficult with all of this overanalyzing with characters, links and frame traps/data. Whatever happened to just picking the character that YOU LIKE and FITTING your playstyle? Whatever happened to finding out about your character best or matchup knowledge through actual fighting? Not following or listening to others just because they say "throw this character away because they are weak or look guys i dropped this guy for this character."
Conclusion: play who you want to play from the start, figure out your own playstyle and the character that fits it. Don't follow others comments or actions because most likely something that works for them may not work for you. Just because that player is doing well with x character doesn't mean you are because you aren't truly giving yourself a fair shot because you are not staying true to yourself or your own skills but trying to copy someone else's skills and everyone is different.
@#28
Tier lists are usually based on a 10 game system. I'm not saying you are wrong or anything. I'm saying that we can't just say a character is better than we expected on paper just because of 1 match. People tend to jump on 1 match victories and assume a character is way better than previously stated.
But you are right about the picking play styles that match what you like. So many people just jump on the fact a character is better in most cases.
@28 Also this is online (yes I know I'm beating a dead horse) but you never know which player is going to be serious or just goofing off as compared to playing in a tournament or arcade.
If that Akuma wasn't really Tokido, then that's so lame. Naming your psn or xbl after a top player... for some reason I think that's stupid.
Nice Gouken though.
