@ 4 the tag system show off was pretty lame, but I think they rushed down this demostration, like they said: "We wanted to do something quick for the fans" they are gonna have to put a lot of effort to make an unique tag system. This is the same ultra's but longer like you said.

I would like to see how Capcom addresses the fact that fireballs are going to rape Tekken characters without some kind of universal mechanic. Not every Tekken character has a crouch dash like Kazuya.
It's just not the same with the nerdgasm of the original unveiling.
it just looks way less flasyh and broken in itself (in terms of combos, at least what we've seen so far, which i admit isn't much) than mvc3.
and yes I've played mvc3 and it's just refreshing to see some non-mvc3 news around.
also I really dig street fighter, really loved tekken 1-4. 5 to a certain degree and 6 is just garbage, so my dream about a merging of those trademark beat em ups comes finally true. am I hyped? yes. am I dissapointed in mvc3? yes. do i usually hate team based games? yes. :3
because 60 second juggles take the flow out of a game and are just boring to do and see over and over again. also garbage like the rage system (hello X-Factor 0/), ground breaks, bounds, same graphic as the ps2 pendant, less customisation. even tho the last two doesnt matter really, it's just downgrade to tekken 5 and in particular tekken 4, which was imo the best game in the entire series. tekken 6 is more of a new game then a successor in the series. a step into a pile of sh!t, that is. :D

2on2 is way more legit then 3on3 but not as good as 1on1 ofc. in a team fighter your characters are "supposed" to die in some way, I'm just not fond of that gamebasis.

You lose credibitlity for that one saying tekken 4 is the best in the series lol. I will admit it did have some good things about it but the game has horrible balance and it didn't even have many characters. It does have better endings than tekken 6 that's for sure. All tekken's have juggle in them so I don't see what the fuss is about.

I think this will be a great game when it comes out. You can't just SFxT just by looking at this debut trailer, besides this game isn't even coming until next year right? Some I'm sure ALOT of changes will happen. I kind of like that it's made like SF4.

tekken 6 just went over the top. tekken was all about juggles yes, but in limitation to itself. you couldn't use bound combos or break through the ground or endless combos with rage meter. depending on the character a ~10 hit combo was pretty normal, in tekken 6 it's just hillarious how long one can be held up in the air. tekken 4 was imo the best balanced in terms of gameplay mechanics. tho, the walls are annoying indeed.
Street Fighter X Tekken looks to be exactly like Street Fighter, albeit with Tekken characters, a tag out feature and different arena's to fight in!
I'd rather Capcom dreamt up something a little more imaginative. I mean, they must have a real wealth of creative individuals within their company and the best they can come up with is this rubbish. To be honest, they're just doing what every other developer is doing, they're playing it safe. Something totally unique or innovative may not do so well. I suppose that's down to us, the consumer. We keep buying rubbish, they're going to keep putting rubbish on the shelves. Vote with your wallets people.
I'm hoping this will be alot better than Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and if Elena some how fails to make ssf4 dlc; I hope they put her in this.

But it looks fun, it still has a long way to go development wise.
And whassup with all the MvC3 hate? I've been playing it, and it's just as fun as playing MvC2 when that game first came out (and before it got broken to high hell with only like 6 playable characters, xD).
I played tekken since tekken 1. so don't
think that that approach will work. tekken 3 is in second place. TTT is just tekken with a "team feture" and not a "team game" [compared to tvc, mvc, cvs and other team based games]. I liked it but didn't count it into the main series in terms of "development".

as for SF x Tekken, its early days yet, this will change a crap load before the game comes even close to release. this footage is over 6 months old. i am sure things have already changed they just aren't showing it yet, i mean, why would they when they have just released MvC 3. its just common sense from a marketing stand point that you dont show anything new until the stuff you already have ready dies down a bit, as soon as the MvC hype train loses a bit of steam im sure we will see some fresh footage.
as a street fighter fan i have to say im more interested in what namco will come up with, and how they will address things such as fireballs in a 3D space? will they just be able to be side stepped? making them completely useless apart from in combos? how will they translate how the SF characters normally feel in a 2d into 3d etc etc. these arent vs games they are street fighter and tekken games. the tekken X SF game will play like a tekken game, the other one will play like a street fighter game. keeps the fans of both franchises happy. but i do think namco have a harder job on there hands and therefore the most interesting project in terms of overcoming various issues that may arise translated a 2d game to 3d. i mean we all know how capcoms efforts at that turned out :S
so much better then mvc3 :3
