I've only heard bad things about this game, but man, that cast list looks awesome.
I thought we were never supposed to speak of this game ever again?......
@11 ps2 and Xbox.I use to love this game but one thing,I cant remember is yun being on there...hell and where was shin akuma combos? non the less great showing for a pretty neat game
Capcom Fighting Jam , glad I never heard of it or played it.. Move on please.
Man, such a cool concept for a fighting game, but so poorly executed.
I would love to see Capcom revisit this idea and actually give it a hefty roster. There were so many characters that would have made good additions for this game but weren't in, though I guess limiting yourself to only four characters per series kinda limits your choices.
If they ever revisit it, it'd be cool if they made it sorta like a Capcom vs Capcom, including characters from non-fighting games.
Back when I heard about this game, I was kinda excited because it looked like CvS. Then when I saw the gameplay and how unbalanced it was, I changed my mind. Just look at the combos in this video. It look like a mugen game and copy and paste game.
I always wanted to play this game. I mean, you can be a freakin Dinosaur, I don't care that if he's bottom tier, it's a Dinosuar! I hope for more Capcom vs. Capcom games. I don't see why they wouldn't make these more.
@ Jerry,
How is CvS a copy and paste game? KOF games use five buttons while SF games use six. Tell me how it's a copy and paste game when two different series of games use different humber of buttons. Execution of moves are different based on that alone. You might as well say SF x Tek a copy and paste game because SF characters are off of SF4 and uses the same engine.
If you're familiar with other SF games, you'll notice the move sets, normal, special and super move animations, etc are exactly off the respective game it came out of (SF3, SFA, Darkstalkers, CvS for original SF characters).
By the way, you're proving by point that CvS is a copy and paste game with this:
"If you're familiar with other SF games, you'll notice the move sets, normal, special and super move animations, etc are exactly off the respective game it came out of (SF3, SFA, Darkstalkers, CvS for original SF characters)."
Hence, COPY AND PASTING.
Capcom should put some of these characters in mvc3 for DLC. Something new and refresh!
Lol at the "Copy and Paste Mugen" comments.
MVC2 was way WAY worse of a copy paste job, and yet that game is held in the highest regard for whatever reason. At least Capcom cared enough to try balancing this game. With MvC2, they clearly didn't.
This game was fine for what it was. A down to earth mash up of different games.
I hope it gets an online release one day.
The roster was very good but for a copy and paste game why didn't it have a mvc2 size roster or close to it. The game fighting system is bad and if they had the chance to make this game again with the sf4 engine or a dumbed down marvel engine i'd love it.
