A translation of the Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition blog is available now.

From startup to 3 frames in, Double Lariat is invincible from the feet up, it's active from the 4th frame on. From there, a hittable box appears above the waist and at the feet, because of the gap between hittable boxes, if you can properly bait out your opponent, you can counter.

Standing Hard Kick is useful for armor breaks and anti-air, has a hitbox at the knee for the first hit, and for the second, has a large hitbox from the thigh to the foot. Because the first hit is 5 frames and the second is 7 frames, you can easily counter simple jump ins.

The second hit of Standing Hard Kick only does 40 damage, so based on the distance, we recommend using the unique attack Step High Kick (Toward + Hard Kick).

Standing Light Punch's hit box.

Close Hard Kick's hit box.

EX Ducking is upper-body invincible from startup to 14 frames, completely projectile-invincible. Follow-ups are possible from the 3rd frame, and since the juggle, you can do various combos, listed below. After EX Ducking in the corner, you can connect Corkscrew Cross, so try using EX Ducking.

Oil Rocket's hitbox is noticeably larger when oiled than when dry, so if you have the chance, oil up. Unoiled state.

Oil Rocket's hitbox in oiled state.

Standing Light Punch's hitbox is larger at the fist, while the hittable box was cut to the elbow.

Standing Medium Kick's hittable box at the foot is significantly reduced.
AE DLC needs nerf for twins and buffs for characters that have always been low tier and characters that were pretty high and got nerfed like Chun, Ryu, and Honda. Yeah I know it's not gonna happen so w/e.
But Wtf Crapcom Chun was perfect, you nerfed some stuff and she significantly dropped in the tier list. It's not like she is easy-as-hell to use, she is really hard to win with in the first place.
Just look at Viper, she is like one of the hardest characters to master and imo Chun can be as hard to master as Viper, yet Viper gets stupid buffs like U2 buff (but 0 nerfs) and now she's considered top because everyone is getting nerfed and she isn't so she's going up.
There was no excuse in those nerfs as you brought the twins to AE and made them as good/better as Console Chun, not to mention they are VERY scrub-friendly, UNLIKE Chun Li.
@5
I can never join a ranked match T.T
Ask MALDA... he'll tell you all about it.
@Starcharger28 lol I bet you said that about MvC2 as well?
CharlieKenSon: "Might as well stop posting SF stuff on eventhubs until SF AE draws near to release."
Might as well stop making comments like this. Even if you like MVC3, which not everyone does, I don't know why people act as if they are only allowed to play one game at a time or why they pretend the point of the site is now to disparage one game in favor of another. How do they benefit from this?
Playing online in MvC3 is just fine.
Getting to said match however, is a whole 'nother story.
I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I said it once and I'll say it again, the changes to SF4 in AE are just STUPID! What it the point in changing Geifs cholesline, to justify making his Lp SPD stronger? Here's an idea, why didn't you just buff the ten characters you added in Super? The first 25 from vanilla were fine, but the ten new guys had a lot of problems, because of that no one was using them (well expect Marn and Gamerbee, but that's about it). No, I will not let this go. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go help Mike Haggar run for Presitent.
it's 2 great games and i'd like marvel to have similar online menus like supa...and most important spectator mode
the theme playing while in a lobby in mvc3 is awesome though
also i think it's stupid that you have to do exactly what it says in mission mode...why not extend those combos a little
People needs to think on the marketing side of things when it comes to new additions to the game. When SSF4 came out, cody, guy, hakan, hawk, adon, makoto, dudley, hibuki and juri were the new additions (along with nerfs and buffs of vanilla characters). Guess how many of the new characters were used frequently at tourneys around the world...next to none. I think Capcom didn't want that to happen again with Yun, Yang, E Tyu, and Oni. Yun and Yang already were proven to be very good characters. E Ryu and Oni were shown with some amazing fadc into ultra and regular combos before they were relocked. They want these new AE characters to be good and exposed / used at the tourney scene. Also, Capcom want to make people want to play them in case their SSF4 main got so nerfed that they decide to ditch him/her. To be honest, I'm not surprised if Capcom decides to nerf the Twins a little with AE DLC comes out.
@SolidBeaver
Vipers buff is rather insignificant, because U2 isnt used in any match up except vs Blanka cuz it makes his balls even more punishable (and even with that knowledge people use U1 a lot more against blanka). Chun got nerfed because she has no weaknesses if she has 1 EX bar except for Vipers burning kick, blanka EX ball, akuma vortex (if timed right) and rufus's dive kick (if used right). The rest of the cast could get zoned out with projectiles or normals, even the chars that revolve around their normals, like Claw, cant beat her normals.
I find it more rediculous that Ryu got nerfed so hard (Im not a ryu player myself). They already made ssf4 in a way that shuts down hadoken zoning but now he cant play a solid footsie-game either. I know he's pretty good and needed nerfing in vanilla but this is just too much. To all the Ryu players that actually know what they're doing: Im sorry I apologize for all the scrubs in the world nerfing your char (even if Im not a scrub) and to all the mash happy ryu scrubs playing: HAHAHAHAH njenje-njenje-nje-nje.
Dan looks pretty viable now that he has some practical links
Good Joke #7 lol. Viper is way harder to use than Chun, and that u2 "buff" is laughable. Even if u2 took off the same damage as u1 as well it would not change. Viper didnt need another combo ultra, she needed something to help on defense, like a counter ultra or an anti air ultra. Why go with u2 when you can do u1 off a medium punch, or even a light kick for those that are really good at sjc ultra.
I hate Ryu but meh only viable nerf would have lower stun and viper is the least changed from vanilla to AE but she still has trouble like mentioned above in the defense dept. add in yin and she is shut down pretty well by his offense
They should rebuff Ryu (to Super specs) or allow in AE to choose between Super or AE Ryu (AE Ryu got pure nerfed though..)
Yeah, Ryu was perfect in Super, he didn't need to be touched. My guess....is they did it to make it easier for characters who rush down (Fei Long/Makoto/Dudley). If you think about it, all these nerfs add up to rush down having an easier time.
Also, I wish there was an option in training mode to see hitboxes! :(
@20 i agree with u man...although they'll probably a lot of twin players within the first 1-3 months of dlc release, it's nice to see that many other characters got buffed as opposed to overall nerfs, thus variety in character usage will increase....yang still seem to have to work a bit harder than yun because of his low damage output but i'll still try him out...moves look cooler to me....
Might as well stop posting SF stuff on eventhubs until SF AE draws near to release. Not with mvc3 freshly out lol. Unless you're gonna announce alex and charlie or something like that :D
