Seth Killian was a guest on the TalkRadar (GamesRadar) podcast, and had a few interesting things to say about Marvel vs. Capcom 3.• Seth said there are a few characters at the top of his list he hopes are added into Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This podcast was held on February 18, 2011, so it sounds like the next set of presumably DLC characters hasn't been decided yet.
• Seth confirmed that Phoenix is the "mind melting character" he refereed to back when MvC3 was being developed.
• Shuma-Gorath was chosen originally included by Capcom's Japanese developers because he was listed in an old Marvel universe handbook, coupled with a lot of "characters in tights" a one-eyed tentacle monster really stood out, even though he's not a popular Marvel character.

Yes, #5, please, enlighten me, because I have never seen a more deeper training mode. Do you want it to hold your hand and tell you all the combos the character has? because I know Capcom would love to sate the ravings of a loud minority complain that Capcom doesn't hold their (expletive deleted) tight enough so they can pee right in the bowl. Because that's the analogy I think of when you complain that a training mode that contains the options to alter the X-Factor level and the type of assists your character has active in the menu, as well as simulate the lag of an online match "sux".
Training mode doesn't have record as far as I can tell, that's pretty bad.
the only thing that i dont like in training mode is when you dont put health on recover and play like in a match against a player or computer, the next match continues without the whole ready, fight and the computer can get an easy hit on you right away. still its so fun trying out the training mode with all those options. id love cyclops and mega man to come back.
You can record, it is not clear how though. Go to the control settings and one of of the options in the controls is p1 record and p2 record .. also you can assign one of the buttons to playback and playback repeat.
Not sure where to post this, but there's a new video on
http://capcom.co.jp/mvsc3/trailer.html
The girl from the JP commercial I believe says a little something, but it's in Japanese so I have no idea what she's saying (probably encouraging viewers to buy it).
training mode sucks because you cant record moves to train yourself against.
Why can't they just admit that Shuma was added for the Japanese people's unnatural fascination of tenticle rape?
It's all good. You like what you like.
Also, add spectator mode and remove lvl 3 x-factor.
@ #18: Can you cry anymore?
It's MvC3. Not SSF4.
Fairness is never part of the discussion when talking about a Marvel game. In MvC2 you spent hours working on guard breaks, infinites, unbockables and basically doing everything you could to piss your opponent off.
This game just has more characters capable of BS instead of 4 gods destroying everything in sight. Sentinel and EVERYBODY ELSE is retarded strong with a lvl3 XFC.
I'm starting to think people just wanted MvC2 with updated graphics and new characters. MvC1 and MvC2 are worlds apart. MvC2 and MvC3 are also worlds apart. Get over it.
The sooner you quit crying the faster you'll either realise what I say is true, or the faster you'll take your game back to wherever you got it from and wait for MvC4.
PS: This ain't just for you. It goes for everybody who's crying broken, cheap, BS, remove XFC, nerf this nerf that, etc.
L2P or STFU and move on.

great comment..

L2P and STFU?? Really? LOL.. Thanked God I dont have low self-esteem.. If i have a problem with the game, i WILL tell Capcom about it.. I am not going to just L2P or STFU..
@18 & 21: Wow.. why does everyone whine and complain about X-Factor? You both are hella burnt. Both players are capable of using X-Factor so stop being a punk ass beezy and use it too.!
^ The thing about lvl 3 x-factor is that you can one combo every character and they die. Also, to some it gives a massive speed boost. I use Chun or Morrigan as my last character, and their speed boost is so amazing that most players can't react. I mean it's pretty much a 2.5x speed boost.
I understand both players can use x-factor, but it does seem unfair that it's SOOOOO EASY to pull off a comeback with it. You shouldn't reward people for losing all your characters. That's what makes it too noob friendly.
If the damage boost was only the same as lvl 1, then I don't think people would complain, because you'd still need skill to make a comeback.
@ 26
Ultras are a one time thing. And even though I didn't like the damage of it, it could only be used once per round (mostly). Lvl 3 x-factor lasts for 20 seconds. That gives too many chances to make a comeback.
Comebacks should be AMAZING and it should be hard to do. That's what makes comebacks so hype. Just like the Justin Wong comeback against Yipes at EVO 2007 on youtube, that match was hype because it took a lot of skill.
Lvl 3 x-factor takes skill out of the equation. And no offense, but if you are defending it, you are either trolling or suck at the game.
Yeah X-Factor could be a nice feature, if there was no speed boost, and same dmg boost for everyone (which would be not too much, like 20% more). Add in not taking chip dmg and it's still pretty powerful. I don't know if it should alter dmg scaling as well. Damn so many boosts it's insane!
I know both players have it, but I don't think we need THAT much boost. I still focking love the game though, so sick!
Waiting for the jokes about Japanese Tenticle fetishes...
