A new walk speed comparison page for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is now available here on EventHubs.com.All of the characters were captured at 60 frames per second starting at the max distance possible and then having them walk forward.
Each clip was placed on the frame right before the fighter's walking animation begins. The clip was then advanced 75 frames and a screen shot was taken. This way all of the characters started at the same time and advanced the exact same number of frames — so no one got a head start.
The order the characters are listed in — from fastest to slowest — was decided by overlaying all 36 images and using the grid lines on the training stage as a points of reference. Because some of the characters stick out random appendages and generally all have different stances while they're walking, their bodies couldn't accurately be used to judge the distance traveled, instead going by how much the camera had or hadn't panned proved to be much more accurate.
You'll always be able to find this guide permalinked in the MvC3 section here on the website.
I don't think this is an accurate study. 75 frames isn't enough time to judge the actual walk speed. Some characters like Sentinel and Hsien-Ko take lots of pauses in their walking animation as it goes on, making them slower than the pictures above would suggest.
@1
wave dash man, walk speed won't mean alot... That is why arthur is slow and don't have a dash, people wouldn't care about speed....
walk speed is not very important on this game dash is
either way I found this trick with Phoenix her c.MA cross under Thor

I tried with some other characters but it seems it only works against Thor
All the people who defend Sentinel probably play as him. They're trying to justify in their minds that he is fair and balanced.
They are wrong.
@1: At least Haggar has the most stamina on CAPCOM's side and that's awesome.
Sent is so not broken just don't get caught up any good player can easily predict what he's about to do next he has like no mix up move what so ever and I don't know why people say he's fast idk what version of mvc3 yall have but he's slow as he'll and I haven't even used him once he just sucks as a charater he's just a big hit box which is perfect for training mode
Thank god Capcom gave Sentinel the most health, the most damage, the best assist and made him fast. You wanna try balancing him next time around?
