DarkSydePhil has been hard at work creating more Marvel vs. Capcom 3 video tutorials. He's finished up his basic series and has started moving into the character-specific area.

Below you'll find some character overviews of Wesker, Super-Skrull and Sentinel. These videos cover normals, specials, hypers and a lot of other stuff. If these fighters interest you at all, this is a good place to learn some tactics for them.

The fact that he's not broken doesn't mean he's not really freakin good. It doesn't take any skill to do well with him, it's like the difference between SF4 Sagat and SSF4 Ryu.

Awesome stuff on super skrull and Wesker. These two I play along with spidey, Spencer, Trish, phoenix and X-23. those are my favorites right now.

Sentinel is very beatable. Justin Wong proved it. Granted it IS Justin, but it just goes to show that if you go into the lab with your team/characters you can beat anybody. You just have to work harder and outsmart the opponent.

I'm really tempted on using Wesker but seems a little intimidating to learn and only dabbled with him a few times, he seems awkward, but still pretty good. Watching Andre play him he seems pretty effing good.

Right now I'm using Ammy/Chris/Spencer with Trish, or Chun, Wolverine or Arthur as an alternate

I dont care if he's a good player or not. Attitude goes a long way in my book and his got shut on page one.

Sentinel is like vanilla sagat pretty much. But..ryu was actually worse in that game i thought.

And yea..sentinel doesnt really need much of a tuorial ahah, but 2 of 3 isnt bad at all

Try it for a few hours at least and see what you can do. He's not THAT bad and once you get the hang of it he'll be intimidating your opponents instead of you ;)

While it's great that DSP is getting this information out there, these videos are really subpar. They need some cleaner editing and DSP needs to be sure of his information before he tries to make a video. I'm speaking mostly of the Wesker tutorials, as he is a character I actually play. For example, you don't need to input the teleport motion after Wesker's specials/command normals, you just need to hit the attack button relative to which teleport you want. Also, I don't watch a tutorial video to see someone get hit 15+ times while trying to show a counter move. The ideas behind these videos are great, but the presentation is just abysmal.

Nice Wesker tutorial but you didn't even mention that you can shoot the gun straight forward with Towards Hard Attack, id say that's better for zoning.

The Wesker tutorial is pretty lacking. His Jaguar Dash can be comboable with the help of assists, something he didn't mention (and probably would've known had he done the mission modes).

X-factor broken???!! Seriously xfactor is the only thing that saves this game from being mvc2 again. Without xfactor itd be sentinel and storm and magneto and a few dantes. Xfactor gives other chars a chance to pull off devastating combos. So STFU!!! Sentinel is still broken thats why majority online and pros pick sent because they kno how if they team loses they can cheap win with him. Basic combo that already does a sh!t tone damage would be rocket punch into sentinel force. He trully is broken but the fact that xfactor gives chars chances it balances. That right there is the truth

@28 Lmao broken you should stfu the only reason sentinel is there is because he is an x-factor tank just about all these vids show every time sent comes in boom activate x-factor the risk/reward ratio is so messed up. The move would make sense if you can only activate when your down in health like tekkens rage mode (which essentially what it is copying) but no you can activate it at 100% health WTF also it doesn't save it from being mvc2 if anything it reminds you of it.

Geez, people love to Bit** about sentinel.
He is still cheap but is very slow, use viewtiful Joe's God hand, or Amy's mist and problem solved he'll be able to beat.

The problem is that people treat Joe as an underrated fighter when he has allot of potential, they just don't wanna give him a try.

Im watching SRK's guide of skrull right now and it's pretty good. Watching both will still teach you new things though

You are retarded, he yells during online play because he knows his opponent isnt sitting right next to him. Sure people get salty but this guy takes it to the next level of saltyness, if he tried that off that crap at a tournament the whole room will laugh at him and his opponent may even bitch slap him for good measure.

People hate on sentinel but you actually need skill with him in mvc3 unlike mvc2! sentinel can be very complex.

@49 at low level play, Sentinel is easy mode but when fighting players who know how to deal with him, yeah you need to play smart as Sentinel. My stratagie is just block low and approach with caution, I can always see the jump in so i'll know when I have to stand up, I have to watch out for low assist hits of course.

It's a boring stratagy but I've come out with all my team members intact from a Sentinel rushdown in X-Factor mode because I watched what my opponent did and punish what he was abusing. IF you let my X-23 beat your Sentinel, something is wrong with your gameplan.

#49. No, Sentinel with X-Factor of any level is just unstopable. Freakin Hyper Sentinel Force chip damage is just unreal. I want them to make it so Sentinel cannot x-factor. I would buy DLC just for that, I hate it so much.

X-Factor is stupid and its also overkill seeing as how everyone is already doing tons of damage. Sent is not broken but he is really due to X-Factor. But he is also very beatable, learn how to use instant overheads properly and you will beat sent easy.

Nice tutorials, but I'm sure there plenty of info hidden elsewhere.

Skrull's gravity smash is pretty good. It can pick up off the floor and into any of his normal supers and works in situations where low tenderize would otherwise not reach.

Its also a good move to close in on the enemy, specifically if the guy tries to play keep away.
