Marvel vs. Capcom 3 first to 3 set with Mike Ross and Marn

Mike Ross (Storm, Ryu, Hulk) and Marn (Akuma, Magneto, Zero) participated in a quick first to three Marvel vs. Capcom 3 set and uploaded the video to Cross Counter. Some entertaining matches and good all around play here.

Either Zero can no longer do the stuff he could in TvC or in his character reveal trailer, or Marn just wasn't using him to his full potential for some reason.

He probably played Zero and Akuma for the first time. I was hoping to see some awesome Akuma stuff but all I saw was Marn missing Akuma's most basic combo's.

Nah, Marn used Zero all throughout the pre-release tournaments.

I love how the end turned into a mini-SF match. Then one guy misses a DP and of course gets comboed.

@FroggyMan77 zero can do every thing in his reveal but the buster take too long to fully charge so u would have to be charging before hand.

It seems that Marn stocks his meters for lvl 3 xfactor usage.Very clutch at the end,nice to see Hulk and Ryu being used.

It is still early, there were times when Ross could have comboed after gamma charge for huge damage but didn't. I think people just don't know the full potential of the characters yet.

Hulk suits ross very well, Hulk is marvel's E honda even though they don't have similar moves, hul and honda are similar in spirit, big guys with hard hitting moves that are not grapplers but have one command grab

I don't like how many times Ross basically gave the match to Marn, but his gameplay was otherwise quite imrpessive. Marn is boring though lol.

This game is HARD! ... Someone need to pile up some special moves that is punishable and moves that is safe. Because i dont know how to punish some moves out there. if i did. it was too late.

well for wolverine his beserk claw is safe...you can spam the shiiit out of that......and for move that are like dp's dont wait for them to hit the ground just launch there ass in the before they touch the floor..

Dante is not as good as people think. Everyone says he is good because of the quantity of tools. I even doubt we will see any in future more serious tournaments.

Now looks like a lot of people are finding out about Akuma's potential. And I believe that on the future, Akuma > Dante.

Hopefully in tournaments
there will be less sentinels and more variation of different characters during a match.
Mike Ross's Ryu was awesome, never seen anyone use Ryu like that.

Anyway, for some reasons it looked like Justin was holding back, could've used hypers in lots of situations.

Mike was doing fairly decent every round, he just played unsafely during Marn's X-Factor (caught with an assist with lvl 3 XF Genmu Zero pretty much means you're screwed). And I'm glad someone is actually using snapbacks, they're really good for killing off characters and yet hardly anyone uses them.

Why Marn didn`t pull hyper combos with Zero - his only remaining character at the end of 1st round - even though he had a full level 5 bar ?

PS: I played SFIV, SSFIV a lot, just started MVC3, i`m new at it. I just want to know why he didn`t use it
