A mysterious, for the time being, feature is available for the 3DS version of Super Street Fighter 4, called SpotPass, it allows the hand held machine to connect to wireless hot spots. AndriaSang (through Famitsu) also briefly detailed the six player lobby system, which works over local wireless.
Using SpotPass, the 3DS can exchange data with wireless hot spots while your system is in sleep mode (this is different from StreetPass, where the data exchanges are done with other 3DS systems). Famitsu did not say how the mode will be used in Super SFIV.
The magazine also provided a look at the game's Channel Live feature. As previously detailed, this feature lets you watch other players as they fight. When in the vicinity of other players, you can search for a local wireless play lobby. Up to six players can watch a single fight simultaneously. As you watch, you can switch between 3D view and standard view on the fly by tapping the X button.
I herd they gonna add that feature to mvc3.. knowing them they probably going to charge for it. Sad cuz they left out like 4 characters and are now already charging for 2 of them that were already in the build and to add insult to injury, they only put 5 ******* STAGES IN THE ******* GAME!!!!.. ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME!!!! ONE OF THEM BEING THE TRAINING STAGE!!... we already know whats going to happen.. DLC map packs.. gaming industry sucks now a days..games still fun tho..
So they can put 6 player lobby spectator mode for this on the 3DS but no spectator mode in MvC3? FACEPALM
You know what I have noticed? People complain when fighting games release something as DLC and how they aren't buying DLC because video game companies are tyring to cash them. But when it comes to games like HALO or CALL OF DUTY, they eat that DLC crap up in a heart beat. Hell, they are basically following capcom With re-releasing the same game with Halo Reach And All of these Call of Duty. And I barely hear ANY complaints when they release them. what is the different between fighting games DLC and other game's DLC?
@#10
whoa you got it way off buddy.. i play call of duty and believe me when i tell you that there are a crap load of people that complain and do not buy dlc for that game because they know some maps (depending on which COD) was in the original build...
Don't know about CoD cause I don't play it but Halo is a whole different story.
Bungie is really serious with DLCs and what do they charge their players for. Good map packs that AREN'T ALREADY IN THE GAME DISC and good extras, not just alt colors or other crap. And some smaller maps, balancing patches, playlist changes, etc are automatic, free updates.
Back on topic, I played MvC3 yesterday for the first time and lag was so horrible I don't want to think what would happen with an spectator mode. For me netplay was waaay worse than SSF4.
And if I got it right this 3DS thing is only over local networks, so that makes a difference.
so this has spectator mode of a handheld.....yet MVC3 doesn't have it on consoles...wow
